As a brief comment the only thing boring on Sundays race what's the television production they could have focused far more on that 14th to 4th ride we could have seen far more overtaking but production is sanitised first place is rewarded by almost total focus as a sponsorship reward When a clear win was common they would focus the camera where the action was, sometimes there would be a mistake in camera work but that is now all sanitised out
Indeed, came to say the same. I remember Doohan winning the German GP by like 20 seconds, you barely saw him, all the focus was on the battles elsewhere. The broadcast has a big say on where we are locking if we're not at the track. Marc came from 14th to 4th, so they focused a bit on that, but nothing about Frankie coming from 18th to 8th. Even the crashes, we seldom get a replay of whoever crashing unless it's one of the front runners.
At Austria and Silverstone, the grandstands look miles away from the track and those tickets are expensive. I payed 110€ for 3 day General Admission at Le Mans and i was able to be on the main straight right at the front. That helps to sell tickets
That's what double standards right. When Marc was riding at Austin and Germany in 2013-2019 he just dominated and nobody could catch him up and he won 10 straight wins in 2014 and Rossi dominated in 2002. And haters can't see that and their mindset is like Ducati reached top place overnight. 2018, 2021 also 8 bikes that time not bothered because Ducati didn't win it right so.
Ya and this is not even a pure domination this season with Pecco only 5 points ahead in 11 races. Doesn't deserve the hate. He's a class act, cool as a cucumber.
I think that Pecco's offs are what messes him up more than anything, in previous years riders were more consistent at the front! But I enjoy a dominant display regardless if it's Martin, Pecco or any other riders! I would've loved to see Roberts on the Aprilia, but I do wish Ogura the best of luck...
Add him in thumbnail I thought to skip because already I have finished watching crash gp podcast .. but still I came here for keth and matt is here .. please add thumbnail if you are bringing some stars 🎉
bonjour, that was another good one again, and it's look like Yamaha and Honda has gone!!!?? not even a word about them. any more rumours about BMW? Keith in Thailand in August, what a question is that!! when here in the UK we are in August but it's look like November with leaves on trees and longer day light!! and the food is better there too and cheaper.
Did rides the beast to the front means he did that with Honda and should have stayed with Honda right? When Marc winning continuously amd even signed 4 years contract at 1 shot nobody bothered to say switch to other manufacturer. When Pecco struggled in 2019 and 2020 nobody bothered to say anything that time and once Ducati became more consistent and Pecco starts winning ohh he needs GP24 bla bla nonsense. And Banana coloured guy didnt had the skill? You know what he did in 2002 and 2003 and moved to a manufacturer in 2004 who never won championship in 10 years to show the dominant manufacturer that's it's the rider that makes difference and what he is capable off. Remove your hate glasses and give credit where it's due. Double standard Hypocrites
Keith, you mentioned the new rule changes in 2027, in my opinion this could be the end of MotoGP. Look what happened the last time they bought in 800cc engines, and most ridicules comment was that it will make MotoGP safer, are they for real, that's the whole thing about MotoGP, its totally bonkers and exciting. I have a feeling that unless they change the engine size in Moto2 as well you could see the speed difference between the two classes getting to close for MotoGP to be interesting. You have mentioned before that there is not a lot of difference in speed between MotoGP and WSBK, what happens if WSBK are faster? And as for Jake Dixon, surely he has left the CF Moto Aspar Team because David Alonso will replace him.
Everyone is talking about the fact that MM93 made up 9 places because of his mistake, and no one says that because of his mistake Morbido made up 10 places. That's not fair.
When Marc was asked question about riding bike without electronics aid he responded in funny way asking "whether you guys want me to fly in the air". So without Electronics Aid and Throttle control, its time of Casey in particular. Marc and Honda adapted well to Single ECU rule. Marc problem was with too much aero and ride height devices and not the electronics. Casey and Rossi were not happy with too much Electronics and they preferred much with Throttle control and some fanboys slagged them off saying they couldn't adopt to Electronics and now Marc saying Aero and ride height devices nobody saying he couldn't adapt. Need to wonder how it would have been if Marc and Honda was able to adapt to ride height devices and aero. Marc wouldn't have moved to Ducati and nobody bothered to call it as boring also as their favourite rider anyways will be winning. As Keith mentioned, Ducati is not on auto pilot mode, there are 21 other riders and 7 others on Ducati but maximum difference is done by Bagnaia. With advanced technology and buttons on handle bar and to keep focus and hit same laptimes lap after lap fir 28 laps is not something like just because of the bike. So keep your respective fanboy stuffs aside and give credit where its due. Dont expect Pecco to be like Marc or someone else. Nobody can be like that, neither Acosta. Pecco is Pecco and Acosta is Acosta. They have their own identities.
Absolutely dreadful race, there was no race. They used to laugh at F1 being processional but my god the racing in current motoGP is nonexistent. The crowds are down all over the world and this sport that I love needs fixing asap. World and British Superbikes is a far better spectacle. They’ve got to remove the aerodynamic wings and ride height devices.
Bitter American here: Brivio is a brilliant team manager but he’s not a talent scout. He didn’t scout Rossi. Mir was a world champion and Rins a multiple race winner- neither were anything but very obvious choices to make, neither were picked by the eye of connoisseur for talent, they were extremely obvious choices at the time. In the end Brivio didn’t want Joe, more understandably he didn’t care about Justin Marks desire to run a social media driven entertainment brand and he talked Justin out of Joe and that sucks for us bc it’s been 13 years since Spies and we have NO one in the GP pipeline and it sucks for Trackhouses plan to bring people to the sport through marketing bc I’m sure they’re nice guys but Raul and Ai aren’t the personalities the top class desperately need and Joe actually is. Whole thing feels wrong and the whole paddock seems to echo that in their sighs.
If he wins that time it's proper and if he doesn't then detuned. Wow. Marc is joining Factory Team next year, if they give him updates then No.1 still remains right but ohh it's GP23. Finding reasons to blame😂
Trackhouse is suffering the same problem as Aprilia, no new parts from mid season, only used parts, as Vinãles is complaining, and is also suffering lack of engineers to understand the collected data and to work with electronics, everyone see that in sachenring when trackhouse had the help of Aprilia factory techs
No he's not, it's completely manufactured. He's an incredible rider on todays machinery and deserved of his wins, but he's also the most bland rider ever.
C’mon guys (and gal), attendance numbers. I wouldn’t (and don’t) pay to visit a track when a years subscription - to me - gives a LOT LOT more. Ok ,sounds better live, smells better live , weather is ALWAYS better indoors. A thing that annoys me (and shouldn’t ,’cause I’m not there) is the folk who pay for a seat to have banner and flag wavers sitting in front of you ……ARGH!!!
@@macsmith6216 You may be right, I can only go by what Justin said. He made it a point to say that his drivers and riders are global. Also, he signs the checks.
The riders did not make the rules… MM cannot adapt even with all his skills but always manage to sulk and come up with excuses for his gay mistakes. Pecco and Jorge are a multiple levels above all others.
You guys just can’t let go of Marc can you? Last year he was a shoe in for the championship this year, now he’s not even top 3 in standings and the story is still he is the only real alien left and can ride around anything, but not unless he has the best bike on the grid. SMH at the ant club get your story straight.
Happy to see Matt Birt in podcast after Simon Crafar 👏

I definitely agree, I love to walk the track and watch the racing
Another great episode !!
I really hate when people say pecco has “the best bike” they seem to forget that the feedback he gives made it the best bike.
Add to that,
four other bikes with exactly the same information

I don't see Pecco having problems getting his 3rd title on the GP24. He hides his hand until Sunday. That combination is solid.
If you are on a factory Ducati with Ducati's best engineers, you might have a wee advantage over the satellite bikes.

Was MCN the magazine Ronnie worked on? He was a legend with us bike riders in Australia. Very sad ending. (Or was it Performance Bikes? Can’t recall).
Performance bikes. He was great along with Gus.

Great having Matt on the show. Always excellent commentary and well reported info. Never a dull moment with the Dorna team.
I still say the AUDI empire has given a LOT of the techno info to develop the 24.
Why would a car company have any experience of a prototype motorcycle
Gigi Dall'Igna is the guy responsible for this incredible machine

I sure wish the series would go back to Bridgestone, I think Michelin has hurt the series.
Why?
Birty!!🙌🏻
And if you notice Pecco is developing a personality which is something he didn’t have 😐
What personality
The personality of a perfectionist professor
It may seem sanitised but he is a lovely person but a ruthless racer

Justin Marks at Trackhouse missed this one. There's nothing wrong with an American on an American team, however, it seems Marks thinks so. Globalism.
Davide Brivio didn’t want Joe Roberts he’s the team principal, he’s the guy with Motogp experience
