As an Indonesian, instead of being scared of what foreigners think we should act to stand by our brothers and sisters in Papua when they’re being mistreated and assaulted by the government. Raise our voices to stand against injustice towards our own people. As an Acehnese, I have very mixed feelings with how the general population have only started to care about our people (Indonesia as a whole) with the Rohingya refugee crisis. It’s like abuse towards our brethren is tolerated but kindness towards strangers, be they ungrateful, is vile.
They speak very good english in Papua New Guinea compared to Papua province in Indonesia where little or no english is spoken at all. Easy for international visitors.

I have lived there for a long time and it’s not like everyday petty crimes occur often; it’s only when PNG goes through an economic crisis that the lower class families or individuals resort to such crime. Try actually meeting the citizens there than stating such information. Petty crimes, violence in any form, etc happens everywhere around the world.

As an Indonesian, instead of being scared of what foreigners think we should act to stand by our brothers and sisters in Papua when they’re being mistreated and assaulted by the government. Raise our voices to stand against injustice towards our own people.
As an Acehnese, I have very mixed feelings with how the general population have only started to care about our people (Indonesia as a whole) with the Rohingya refugee crisis. It’s like abuse towards our brethren is tolerated but kindness towards strangers, be they ungrateful, is vile.
To be honest: Papuans are very open.minded people with a very good character and warm hearth!

I have lived there for a long time and it’s not like everyday petty crimes occur often; it’s only when PNG goes through an economic crisis that the lower class families or individuals resort to such crime.
