This documentary was shot probably 20 years ago. There’s a big development and social change in the last 20 years. The Highlands highway had drastically improved. Lae has a massive facelift with concrete roads and a 4 lane highway to the new Nadzab airport 42 km outside of Lae. Lae’s no longer a pothole city.

Why do they dub over the people speaking English with an English guy. I would much rather hear the people speak it. It’s interesting hearing their dialect
Village people probably don't take lightly to outsiders pointing cameras at them. If you recall in the video there are villagers who have never seen nor even sat in vehicle of any kind, don't be lazy and just do a google search.
Lovely programme - well done. Our British King Charles III rules over there. Sadly we are apparently giving up the Chagos Islands which when we do means the sun WILL set on the British Empire. Currently it never does as we have so much within it - the biggest empire the planet has ever had. The Frenchman with the supermarkets and the NZ pilot are interesting men from outside. The ones in most of the villages are lucky. Those in poverty in the town are worse off. The closer they are to civilisation the worse off they are really over all. By the way the dubbing was not always needed as they were speaking relatively clear English most of them and better English than the dubbing eg priest talks about going off the road and dubbing uses slang "curtains for me".
I know life can be difficult for the villagers but they smile more than the average American. Thank you so much. Bless these people!
In some areas. In others it’s highly dangerous , some tribes believe in witchcraft , resulting in torture and murder, regardless of of age.

Автор молодец - постарался над озвучкой! Намного лучше, чем если бы были субтитры.
Outdated, come see the roads and Lae again from 2022
Makes Friedkin's "Sorcerer" (1977) look like a walk in the park on a warm spring day. Seems like a wonderful place to stay far away from. On the other hand, "I told the women ...go hurry up and make us some food." Nice.;)

i have watched china marvellous road and bridge construction, now i watched this, Life is indeed not balance.
I love these docus, just a shame people get a voice over that are totaly understandable. I prefer listening to there own speach. would not bother reading to.
I love Papua indonesia ❤
On this show nobody gets away without having their voice dubbed
One episode guy was speaking English and the English dub still played 😂
The ultimate insult@@WyattEmge
I was saying the same thing 😂.. talking perfect english then for someone to translate it😮😮... to english

Muchas gracias por el vídeo, muy interesante
😊
Hope the nation prospers
The road is very dangerous and full of risks😮
Thank you.
Why do they dub over the people speaking English with an English guy. I would much rather hear the people speak it. It’s interesting hearing their dialect
Can't help but notice many of them really look alike like brothers or father and son.
admin makes a comparison of the city of Papua New Guinea with the city of Jayapura-Ppua Indonesia
Ce prêtre est formidable !
I watch this years ago😊
I believe Papua (Indonesia) would become much better and better in the future
You are showing only roads. I miss to see much more of the life the people have there in the villages.
Village people probably don't take lightly to outsiders pointing cameras at them.
If you recall in the video there are villagers who have never seen nor even sat in vehicle of any kind, don't be lazy and just do a google search.
@@coffeepot3123Nonsense. Today in all place people have smartphones with cameras. This is nothing special.
@@albrechthilker9072 You're a kid, and it shows, lmao..
Almost like this show was about traveling the roads lol.
Looks like Guyana 🇬🇾
30 million a year for running stores and trucks in Papua is insane
