First tip, have an inspire or any dji with vision positioning (like it this video). So that it's the same as outside with gps lock. Second, don't fly up into the ceiling. 3rd, don't fly left, right, forward or backward into walls or objects. Class dismissed.

you can reset the course lock with the phantom 3 while in the air. i think it was an app update, but with mine i was always able to do it. thanks for the tips, this does make it a hell of alot easier flying it in doors. LIKE +1
The finger control would be great for drag magnification app then you could at least zoom digitally while flying. Impressive very impressive.

Sweet Will, Frickin Cool !! Cool use X-box 360 controller. lol !! In "Splinter Cell" the trick is too suppress the noise. For occupied, interior surveillance, recon, If they hear it. They'll shoot it down.
This seemed to be a video of two parts.
The first part, you gave a presentation demonstrating various ways to control the aircraft and the camera and talked about differences between that and the Phantom, etc... etc... all very professional and informative...
Part two...
You seemed to almost forget that you were making a video and just got lost in playing with the aircraft. Occasionally, there would be an "ummm" or a mumble as your brain appeared to be reminding you that you needed to connect with your viewer but... flying this bloody thing around here is just tooooo much fun and requires a fair amount of concentration, dontcha know???!?!
Not complaining, just making an observation... I enjoyed watching you playing about with it indoors and nothing really needed to be said. It kind of made the experience a little more intense, if anything.
nice video, i like it. for new dji users when your try fly indoor, make sure turning off your wifi router, cell phone wifi or something like that. thanks

Nice video, thanks. I'm not considering buying one, but maybe one day I will be able to work with someone who has it, and now I know what are all the things one can do with this amazing tool. I've heard that two people can operate it it at the same time, would you mind making a quick video about that?
***** if you want to fly using the camera dont use the same one that i sused to film they are gonna turn it and you will lose orientation put 600tvl sony ccd on there with 5.8ghz and use that for piloting ore fly line of site and dont go behind things

is this your house ? a workshop ? pretty unusual layout there ? have you made any videos on this space ? lastly, I have this unit an experienced some drift indoors, to the point that it made me nervous to get anywhere good in the building I was flying in... how did you set that perimeter lock feature ?
I have the same Samsung tablet as you and it was working great and then i started to have bad Lagging from it as well, can you tell me if you found out what the problem was with the tablet?

Lifted mine off the floor just to see it hover. Pressed option for it to land in same spot. It then hovered towards kitchen wall and crashed

Say I am looking at what Mobile device to get for my DJI drone and was giving the Samsung line a serious look. That being said I noticed in this vid that you had problems with their tab S model? That was the one I was leaning towards in the 10.5 screen size because of the type of screen it has. So I was hoping you would make the time to get back to me with what ever happened with the lag problem you were having? Or should I abandon that model and look at something else?

Is the surface you are standing on normally a walkway? If it is, you need guard rails for the walkway.

Course lock and all of that stuff confuses the hell out of me I’ve crashed my Phantom 4 Pro 3 times because I get confused now I’m never going to use that mode again.

has any got a fix for esc error? or know how to actually get ahold of dji lol , i try online support they tell me to call the number , the number tells me to call again at a later time , thats during business hours... pretty helpful ppl over there ahaha , 2 flights and i got a 5k paperweight and 2 ipad holders haha.
how much flight time do you get with one battery/charge?
to someone unfamiliar with flying drones and filming with them, learning the ins and outs seems quite complex. Is it overwhelming or did it just sort of build off your initial experience?

Huge difference with the iPad, video is 24-30fps whereas on the Samsung tab it was something like 5-10fps

I have solved the lag on my TAB S.
Install a Task Manager to kill all other apps
Restrict background apps to 1
Downgrade to factory version Google Play Services
Use 1.1.0 Dji Pilot APP
Running FW 1.2.6.
Now it's smooth as butter!

Hey Will, so I'm from Florida and I've personally never seen a house plan / open floor plan, whatever it is called like that before. That's really cool & interesting to me, how you're essentially in just a big ass open "warehouse." Is that.. customary? ..and I've just oddly not heard of it? Also, I'm so curious how much you pay for rent? I only ask because as I said I find it unique & awesome; would *LOVE* to live in something like that! Hope you don't mind me asking these questions! *>.

If your have latency you need to change the frequency on the setup. Once you have the correct one you won't have any noise what so ever

I have had the best results with the Ipad Air 2 and the Ipad Mini 3. Just about everyone I know is using the same thing and are very happy with theirs also. You can use the Iphone 6 and 6+. I know the Ipad Mini first edition will not work, so make sure if you go that way to get at least the 2. If you go to DJI's website you will see a list of tablets and phones that will work.
TheUofAfan DJI keeps playing with firmware and the Pilot app and just isn't getting it right. Part of the issue is the Google Play Store being a resource hog. DJI is the major culprit for the lag issues. Don't do any firmware updates until they get their stuff together. Newer craft are shipping with older firmware until they get a fix worked out.
IOS using hardware decode does a much better job. The iPad AIr 2 right now is the way to go. The A8 processor kicks serious butt over the quad core Droid offerings.

Hey was wondering why you're crash video wasn't here on you're channel? Secondly I was wondering if you got around to that dectective work to help find out the cause of that crash?
Will Urbina The problem with Samsung Tab is their software is not as efficient as iOS. I had the same experience just like you had with latency. I sold it and i use ipad Mini 2 now, everything is much better than before. I will also suggest everyone getting ipad mini 2 or air for insipire 1 or p3 because it has build in simulator ( android DJI Pilot App at the moment does not have it yet ).
i have a dji inspire 3 and i crash in the wall i buyed dji inspire 1 and i crash in a car and i bued a another dji inspire 1 and now i can filming the ocean
so the DJI Inspire and DJI phantom used the same remote

I think it is kinda dangerous to hold the transmitter with one hand at a high place.
The transmitter itself is heavy. With a iPad , it is more heavy

cool that you can fly it indoors but why would you want too? I mean about all you can do it hover a bit, down side is that it will stir up all the dirt and dust you have in the room in which you are going to end up breathing in to your lungs. Only a matter of time before somebody flies it into their flat screen TV or something else trying to fly it in their living room or wherever they are trying to fly it. Now if you have a big open gym or large area that you can actually move it around that would be ok, but do not think I want to fly it around my really tall garage or living room, that is like the jokers that want to hover their helicopters right in the middle of the air field while the airplanes are having to fly a pattern.
I have ben flying RC for a while now, Lifetime member of the AMA, I must have around 40 planes and something like 17 heli's, now into quads for shooting video since doing it with regular planes are heli's does not offer the best video quality with all the vibration of the motors and blades, plus the ease of flying these new drones is a lot like playing a video game and you can actually take your hands off the controls and enjoy the video while in the air, move it around and get the good shots that you could not do it with the other types of aircraft.
