Great!! Fixed the problem in my Outlook 365, BUT: don't forget to put back your original main profile folder into the outlook profiles folder or you'll lose all your data!
Office 365 should redownload all your data, unless you mean autocomplete information?

With the new Ventura OS, the steps are a bit different, but the concept is still the same. Thanks for posting this, it fixed the issue for me.

it's a real headache for me, I tried everything but nothing works. In the end I literally cloned my MacBook which has this problem from the other one which doesn't have the search issue, but then, it still not working....how could this be?!?!

Hello, what issue are you struggling with?
You are a genius! I have gone to so many sites to try to fix this flaw on my brand new Macbook Air and your solution is the one that has made the Outlook search function work. The file display on my computer was a bit different than what was shown on your screen but I kept working to open the folders until I finally found Outlook in the library section. By including and then unchecking it from privacy it has started the search function. With your accent you might be in the UK--wish I could buy you a pint!

This did work for me, however it only works for one search at a time. I’ve had to redo this each time I need to search. Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you!

Hi guys - can you provide remote support? I am in Australia and i did this and i lost some folders (under Outlook PST) and want to reinstate them if possible. The profile that has the folders is in the bin on my mac. Thank you if you can help!? Outlook 365 and Mac Studio

Hi, sorry to hear. Did you try recreate the profile entirely? (Assuming you are using Microsoft 365)

Go to the applications folder then go into the Outlook application folder and there is a profile manager in there. You can create / delete from in there.
it didn't work. my one is Microsoft365 and it's mac Ventura. please note I removed main profile also.

create a new user on your mac and then configure the Outlook. it should work fine then.

Hi Hamilton, I have this problem but with Ventura for Mac. Unfortunately, I can't find the folder UBF8 in my Library or anywhere. Can you please let me know how to find it or if this fix doesn't work for Ventura? Thank you very much for your help!

Hi - recently migrated from old Air to new with everything working except this search aspect, I performed both steps outlined in your video and what happens is after re-downloading all the emails from the server, strange enough if I do a search it seems to work (I'm guessing in parallel with doing the full indexing) BUT after some time (again a guess that after the indexing is 100% complete) it goes back to no results found. MacAirbook M2 Sonoma 14.2.1 Outlook 16.8.1 (360) Any thoughts?
