Hi Good day too, sorry for belated to response to your comments. For alignment of flexible coupling for DFDE actually it is almost same with other machineries alignment. For marine DFDE it is necessary that the vessel afloat, it is to make correct alignment, due to vessel weight is distributed evently during afloat. Also, additionally to check No.1 Crank Shaft Deflection. It can be using laser alignment or micrometer dial gauge with using a minimum of 2 measurement points, take readings to understand the angular and parallel (offset) misalignment. Make minor adjustments to correct the offsets. Depending on the RPM of the equipment, the acceptable alignment tolerance will vary, please check the instruction manual. For periodical maintenance of flexible coupling on wartsila (propulsion engine) it is to be done about 4000 RH it is only checking the alignment, when any adjustment required should be consulted with maker. Anyway, I will make a video about laser alignment for vertical installation machinery in future. Please watch my video regarding V-belt alignment (horizontal installation fan & motor)
