Bio: Wajahat S. Khan is an Emmy-nominated journalist and author reporting on Indo-Pacific security and focusing on the Af-Pak conflict. An Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Center of Global Affairs and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at Washington’s Atlantic Council, Khan is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism and the University of Michigan, and Pakistan’s only Shorenstein Fellow from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He has reported from 16 countries covering conflict, diplomacy, and media for digital, cable and network news. During the final years of U.S. military operations in Afghanistan, Khan was bureau chief in Kabul and Islamabad for NBC News, and embedded with over a hundred NATO, Afghan, Indian and Pakistani military units as he covered South Asia for leading British, Indian and Pakistani networks and publications since the beginning of the 2001 U.S. invasion of Afghanistan. He frequently dabbles in cricket, and is the author of the 2019 Amazon / Harper Collins sports bestseller, Game Changer: Being Shahid Afridi. As a very old army soldier (commissioned from PMA in June 1966) I feel , Adil you have been a real soldier and a great human being, and my sincerest salute to you, and to dear Wajhat Khan as well for arranging this beautiful and informative program. Am not a Pakistani any more but I like your PM IK very much and I always listen to adil & Haider Mehdi’s program. All I can pray to Allah Almighty for a better soul for this problem and good sense should prevail. Amen.
are you a former East Pakistani? because if you say PMA 1966. I do now on guy who served in 1971. Would have been great if two former PMA soldiers from Pakistan and Bangladesh would have walked us through what happened in 1971. Unfortunately, in a country like ours it can never happen

Yes, there is no doubt in what he pointed out, it is absolutely right, you can't enforce your argument, we should give respect to everyone's argument, but when they try to impose on you, what they want , is absolutely wrong...That's the difference, now, by the statement of A political by the army, however, action speaks louder than words BECUASE they are involved in to torture the political victimisation still now. As a Pakistani citizen, I can analyse that and we lost the trust in Few black sheep, who are going against our opinions....we love pakarmy, but they need to improve themselves by listening to the heart of Pakistani people rather than deciding beyond the door and more important take the accountability from now onwards even if some generals do something wrong.
What an honor for us, this nature of individual is the man to whom we made our ideal army man in our childhood.

As a Kashmiri, I have refrained from watching interviews featuring individuals purporting to be Pakistani army officers. However, Adil Raja stands out as someone who speaks truthfully and is unconcerned with the consequences of his words. He is a person of integrity and morality, and I find him deeply inspiring. Wajhat sir, I must say that this interview was one of the best I have ever watched. I was so engrossed in it that I lost track of time and, unfortunately, forgot to perform the Taraweeh prayer. I admire both of you greatly.

I've barely known Wajahat but already a fan after watching this. Thanks for navigating so smartly and allowing Adil Raja to express his views, beliefs and journey with such ease and comfort. Adil Raja is a symbol of bravery and righteousness, the country is indebted to both of you along with the likes of Moeed Pirzada, Imran Riaz Khan and several others. You both will go down in history as warriors and symbol of Pakistani patriotism. With advent of social media, the way history is being documented for our future generations is vastly different. Gone are the days when you can force people into learning manipulated versions of the history. People are already questioning events in our Pakistani history including the events of 1971 despite the fake propaganda history we have been taught all these years. People intuitively can make out whether a person is being truthful or not. Your truthfulness and honest intentions are being felt by a large majority. Times have changed. Secondly, he said they asked me to stay silence, then contradicted himself by saying i was willing to be silent but they asked me to work with them.
