This Entire system needs an overhaul. And the establishment needs to be willing to do it.. They also read the the will of the people and have their ears to the ground. However they have a plethora of different opinions within the establishment as to what is the better way to go forward. Nothing will work unless you first understand the Quran and Sunnah in light of Hadith and study Dr. (Allama) Muhammad İqbāl.. Pakistan _'Needs'_ a *✅'Khilafāt-ur-Rāşhida'* type ☪️Presidential system✨🌙, NOT🙅🏽‍♂️ an implanted Anglo-Saxon 1800's _-"Multi-Party Parliamentary democracy"-_ System🚫

The range of guests, and topics covered is top notch. However, I find it a little disconcerting how he skirts around topics relating to the current opposition parties (PDM), especially when it comes to Zardari, and the absoutely disastrous and self-enriching policies of the Bhuttos and Sharifs. I'd love to see a non partisan discourse on that as well.

Hard reboot starts from the top. Just like how Nehru in India was visionary enough to start IITs and think the big picture, there's no one like that in Pakistan, or at least even if there is the conditions are completely different than India. The elites (and establishment) here don't want that since they'll lose all their powers. Sadly, even while being a Pakistani, I don't see any positive future here at least for the next 20 years.

It is true that Urdu was not the language of Pakistan and that Bengalis raised an objection to its being a national language and agitated too, but in spite of all that the issues were settled in the constitution of 1956 in which Bengalis had even agreed to forgo their share of representation in the Parliament by 12% reducing it from 56% to 50% and increasing the share of West Pakistan from 44% to 50%. Need not to say that that the it was the 1956 Constitution which was a mile stone in the unity of the country which was achieved by hard work by mutual consent .
But unfortunately even 50% representation of bengalis was not acceptable to the ruling elite of West Pakistan Who's interests appeared to be at stake because of it . Therefore Martial law was imposed to wipe out the democracy itself which was the first step towards the break of of Pakistan the credit for which goes to the great general Field Marshal Muhammad Ayub Khan.

What followed the Ist Marshal law was an era of and corruption and injustice at national scale based on the usurpation of the right of Bengals. These were the efforts to eliminate or reshape or deshape democracy to protect the interest of the elite of West Pakistan which ultimately resulted into its breakup
Under the kind leadership of Agha Muhammad Yaha Khan..

This your 3rd episode I’ve listen : love it !
However I reckon to keep your personal bias aside, specially throwing sarcasm with a cunning smirk, just takes the piss out of me when hosts do this in their show. Otherwise excellent show, I have recommended to my friends as well

Interview people like Matiullah Jan, Hamid Mir who are in Pakistan fighting the Establishment / politicians and facing the brunt. They are real fighters who need recognition as they are fighting for people of Pakistan. These interviews are good but are people who are spectators watching from a distance.

The process has continued even after the speration of East Pakistan, this time to usurp the rights of the week provinces and classes, except for a few small intervals caused by compulsion. It is this factor which
has been a cause of chaos and destability in the country...But the elite class remains oblivious to this aspect like Wajahat, who is very sincere and honest but unfortunately belongs to the same class .

The Army is more than the de facto & dominant political party in Pakistan’s political spectrum with strong authoritarian mind set because of its training and experience. Not de Jure. Because it has no social contract with Gen Gracy’s ‘bloody civilians” bit that never got trashed.
