I found that ginger was really helpful with migraines, due to it being a natural vasodilator, in the same fashion that the prescription medicine Imatrex injections work. I suffered from severe migraines for several years, while I was premenopausal/menopausal primarily due to severe hormone fluxes during that time. The ginger that I took worked every time without fail.

I find I actually prefer my own medicinal extracts made with homemade wine better than the 80 proof tinctures. I started off with those but then started experimenting with vinegar, wine, and glycerin. The main difference is one just needs to take a bit more of the extracts but they are cheaper to make and I have the assurance of knowing there are no GMOs in the alcohol and it is organic because I made it from my own plants.

@@RainCountryHomestead Thanks for the quick response. Now I am confused!!!!! You and the seed companies say that bachelor buttons are also known as cornflower. Blue and looks different.
According to: US Dept of Health - National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) which says that:
"Common Names: feverfew, bachelor’s buttons, featherfew
Latin Name: Tanacetum parthenium, Chrysanthemum parthenium, Matricaria parthenium"
      And
US National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health calls it:
      "Common name
Chrysanthemum parthenium , Feverfew, featherfew, altamisa, bachelor's button, featherfoil, febrifuge plant, midsummer daisy, nosebleed, Santa Maria, wild chamomile, wild quinine, chrysanthemum atricaire, federfoy, flirtwort, Leucanthemum parthenium, Matricaria capensis, Matricaria eximia hort, Matricaria parthenium L., MIG-99, mother herb, Parthenium hysterophorus, parthenolide, Pyrenthrum parthenium L, European feverfew, feather-fully, feddygen fenyw, flirtroot, grande chamomile, mutterkraut, and vetter-voo.[1-5]"
Heck, even Wikipedia calls it Bachelor's Button. But, I am sure you're are probably correct. But the gov't does go onto say that feverfew is easily mistaken with camomile. It is perplexing. I'm not trying to step on your toes here, Heidi, but as someone who suffers from suicide sciatica, I've got to tell your viewer what works for
me.😊 I make an oil that takes the nerve pain away almost instantly! I got the recipe from an Amish family that i deal with. They told me that it would work in 5 minutes and I got major relief almost instantly. I fill a jar about 2/3 full of botanical menthol, cayenne, ginger, calendula flowers, arnica flowers and St. johns wort flower and then cover it all in olive oil. (I dont have measurements) u can then let it sit in a sunny window for a few weeks or u can use the crock pot for 4 hours but don't let it boil! When that's finished, strain it and add wintergreen essential oil and a little more botanical menthol. Those 2 ingredients seem to be key in sort of freezing that nerve. Now you've got something that's just mind blowingly good!! I sometimes take the oil and add beeswax and make a balm, too, but the straight up oil is what you'd want to try 1st.
I make this stuff and sell it locally and everyone I've ever given a sample to has raved about it and then come back for more! It was enough to make one of my customers cancel his surgery.
The other thing that helps tremendously is bathing in as hot water as u can stand with magnesium flakes. You have to stay in for at least 40 mins bc during the first 20, the body detoxes and during the 2nd 20 mins (or more) the body absorbs whatever is in the water. For this reason I put bentonite clay in the water to bind toxins. I have municipal water and who knows what's in that! The magnesium relaxes the nerve and stops muscle cramping which tends to happen with sciatica and can be a big part of the suffering. Just bc i like to make the best of these baths, i throw in a cup of baking soda to alkalize, some pink himalayan salt crystals and different essential oils and herbal teas depending on what im trying to accomplish. Lavender is always a good choice for the relaxation it induces. I was able to throw away the cane that i needed just to walk 15 feet the very 1st time I bathed in this! It truly seemed like a miracle!
I also do yoga stretches and I do a routine I found on youtube. Its called something like 18 minute sciatica exercise . If u search that, you'll find it. Also dr. Alan Mandell, D.O. on UA-cam has excellent stretches for sciatica. Good luck and I hope u decide to try this and gain relief.😊
P.s. I'm not a doctor or other health professional. Im just sharing what has worked for me and some of what I've found in my research.😁

Absolutely love this! Thanks so much for the information. I too have hypothyroidism and would love to get off of the prescription that I am on so I don't have to keep getting those blood draws and testing at least twice a year just to get my meds. I also need to get off the allergy meds I have to take for chronic hives. So your videos on those have been an AMAZING revelation for me! I only have one problem... waiting for my plants to grow enough so I can harvest. ;) lol. Thank you so much for the seeds. Looking into buying what I need for our needed natural remedies so that I can get off all these drugs that are so bad for us. You and Patrick are definitely a Godsend for my family. May He bless and keep you and yours always! Cec.

Heidi there is a lot of Herbal books out there like Amy Fewell, Dawn Combs *lol* and the internet a wealth of information. ( I think we are on the same line.) Heidi, another great video on Herbs and how good they are good for you. Herbs are still a type of medicine and we need to be careful as we use it. Herbs are better then synthetic. With headache Heidi, I don't use anything unless it is very bad, and i use peppermint oil and that helps for me.

I want to say "thank you" again for the seeds you make available in your shop. I love how the feverfew grew.
My mother made capsules out of ground herbs over 50 years ago. (Actually, she had ME make them...) I remember the goldenseal, in particular. I actually enjoy the bitterness of that herb, perhaps because I got used to it as a child, but also because the bitterness is a sign it is effective.
