Back in the late ‘70s I got a couple photos of eels back in a submarine cave. That means somehow there is a connection to the Gulf (60 miles) away or somehow they got through the dam.
Your guess is as good as mine! I have never had any success catching them in there! One friend of mine used to do well with flies, but the water is so clear I could always see them laughing at me.
great video ladies, it's been a long time since anyone shoot a good video there. not sure if you ladies do any fishing, but if you do i would love to see you fish for some bluegills there. some updated fishing on Merritt's would be a welcome sight. Thanks again
Cool video and super cute girls. Nice.
Thank you!

The bass look at standard lures like" wtf is that run".. what do they eat?? I know what catches the red ear.

Is this place open year round for kayaking to the public?
Yes, the pond and the landing off Blue Springs Road are open year round. Blue Springs Park is only open in spring and summer.
I sure wouldn't mind to take a dive
cool
Why is it named "Meritt's" Mill Pond?
It was named after Alexander Merritt, who once owned the dam and mill at the foot of the pond. He lived in the area in the 1850s and 1860s.
@@TwoEggTV Was it ever a hydro-electric plant or just a gris mill?
@@waynesmith2738 It began life as a grist mill and saw mill. Later it powered an ice plant and eventually a small hydro-electric plant.
Watch out for cottonmouths.
Great channel and beautiful girls!
Aren’t you afraid of ALLIGATORS ?🐊 🥶😳😳
Alligators are normally pretty shy. As long as you are respectful of them and give them their distance, they are not aggressive.
watch out fo them gators 🐊 you to cute to be eatin
