    Another great video ..... I never knew Florida had bison...... BTW, a tremendous old 1700 highway was Thigpen Trail.....a military road entering Florida..... maybe the Thigpen crossed old spanish trail at a prominent point?

    I was born just south of Jacksonville 60 years ago, I too was interested in and grew up playing around the waterways and creeks in the area, Black Creek is one that floods frequently (Hurricane Irma was Bad), I was not so much into the history at that age, I really wish I had been, so it's really good to see younger native Floridians take an interest in the history of this awesome place, you folks did a nice job with the video keep it up!

      It is a pretty drive! We especially love the sections around DeFuniak Springs and from Pensacola across to Mobile.

    Ya'll should have shown where the Old Spanish trail crosses the Dixie highway in Havana. Florida. There is a lot of history at that spot!

      We will be doing stories soon on the Old Spanish Trail Highway, so that is on the list. This story was about the actual Old Spanish Trail, which is a bit different, although it did pass through or near present-day Havana.

    So what’s the road parallel to US-90 that’s called old Spanish trail?

    • @TwoEggTV
      @TwoEggTV  4 роки тому +4

      That is the original US 90. It was built in 1919-1929 by connecting a series of existing dirt roads and building a few new ones to create a cross country "auto trail." When the route was paved, it was relocated slightly to the current route of US 90.

    I heard the friar joined the navy May 27, 2020. That is one old recruit if he was writing about buffalo in the late 1600s. lol
