- In this tip video, I'll show you how to rapidly create a slidable pivot point to be able to achieve "complex" rotation animation very easily.
This rig has some limitations though.
This will be included in my next full course that will be about Rigging.

Thank you Pierrick, great stuff. And I'm going to try this idea on a spinning drumstick. I wonder if you ever found a solution to that limitation...
Good explanation. I was always curious on how to use bones in objects. Anymore advice like this for rigging or animation would be appreciated.
Cool. you will have to wait till next one.
The rigging course will cover this one for sure.
I also plan to make an animation course on next year. But it's just a plan for the time being as I need to finish the rigging one first and make some money with commissioned project first.
I hope it pays off. I know I'm looking forward to that, while frantically hoofing away :3
Hi! When do you plan to release complete character rigging course for this character?
This is excellent work. Thank you for this Pierrick.
Hi Alimayo, thanks for passing by. It's been a while. thanks and have a nice day
Watching this four years on! I guess Geometry nodes could do all this now and solve the translation issue?
This is really really cool
What would make this better is to combine the rig with the ability to be dynamically parented between the right hand, left hand, and no hand (or maybe a third “free” parent)
It's already the case. It can be snapped to hand rig automaticaly. It was not the point here ^_^'
Which easier cinema 4d /blender or 3d max? MR pierrick i wish you answer
Amusing World I’ve never used 3DS nor C4D so I won’t be able to answer. It depends on what you are looking for...
i ,m looking for learning all them i wish that happen
do you have a personal facebook account?
Nope, but you can find me on twitter
Can you used cursor like pivot??
Yes but just for transformation in your viewport.
You can't use it in animation. If you use the 3D cursor with an offset from the bone head to rotate it, it will record a rotation for sure but also translation information. and that will be a pain to deal with.
Pierrick Picaut ahhh ok👍
how you record your screen for tutorials.
I'm using CAMSTASIA. It's very easy to use and works well.
And it is not super expensive.
Can you make a bear for me?
Yes and a flying gazoo
haha got lost after 2 mins ...maybe 1 min!
