Very under-rated and under-appreciated round. People don't know what they are missing. I wish it would get more press so more ammo and gun manufacturers would jump on the wagon. Love my 17WSM.

@@strangemayc Where are you getting $50 a box for 17wsm? It's usually $15-$20 for a box of 50, and I have personally found it for $12 a box. That's cheaper than 17hmr and 22mag.

With the cost of reloading components, a .17 Hornet wouldn't be worth reloading if you had this.

@@strangemayc 40 cents per round and it's 3000fps at the muzzle which is pretty much .223 velocity... and for shooters/hunters who live in areas that are restricted to rimfire in certain areas, this round is a miracle... and for folks in California who don't suffer from tyrannical restrictions on rimfire, it's great for them too!

I’ve had a savage bmag with heavy barrel for years. It’s a laser. I primarily shoot the 15 gr. bullet at 3,300 fps. I wear out crows and turtles at 200 yards. Zero recoil, can watch impact through scope. Ammo has been very hard to acquire since the scamdemic. If you can find any it’s 3X more expensive than it was a few years ago. It’s definitely one of my favorite rounds.

I have a synthetic stock bmag, love it. Glass bedded it as per cavedwellers instructions. Shoots so so good and fortunately I bought a crap load of ammo several years ago. Probably splattered over a thousand gophers. Out to 200 yds it's amazing.
