I have been enjoying watching Chloe grow up on the show from the very beginning. The way that they have stepped up to raise her is phenomenal. And the fact that they showed it all on TV is needed because people need to really see, on an everyday basis, how it is possible to love and raise a child who doesn’t look like you. I love it.

Chloe is not just a child that "doesn't look like them", she is their Grandchild, she is their blood relative, she is their family. Her skin tone is more golden than theirs, but they gorgeous sweet little girl does look like them. Grandparents have been stepping up and raising their grandchildren since the beginning of time.

They love that child. I remember watching when she was an infant and they were showing their son Kyle; who's Chloe's father, how to care for her. I am very proud of Todd, he has been going easy on people. I have been on Facebook and someone made a comment about Chloe, Todd tore that person apart. He does not play when it comes to Chloe, she is his heart and you can see the love.

@@jayproehl6724 I have taught my children to stand up for themselves, as a matter of fact when my son was bullied, he beat the crap out of the bully and my son is the one that got suspended. It is a fact that most kids are bullied in schools and online the most. So yes when a child does go to a counselor crying or upset about being bullied. they should address the bully, and Yes it is the parent’s responsibility to teach their kids how they behave as well.

Because we have been indoctrinated not just since slave days with the field slaves and house slaves, but since the Cotton Club days and even todays media where our darker skinned family, especially our sistahs, are treated and looked at as less than.
WE didn't do this. WE didn't create the paperbag test, WE didn't start the colorism within our own people.
But what we DID do was internalize it and make it a dirty part of our culture where we have perpetuated hate towards our more melaninated family members. We lash out at our beautiful brothers and sisters whose skins are less touched, or not touched at all by European genetics.. and I can't help but to wonder if it is a form of self hatred. Because you reflect back at us who we should have been.

Kids know when someone is real w/ them & shady. It does seem a stretch the other grandparents would call you racist just for being white. If they think so, then ask them to give examples. It may be your speech w/ you being unaware it comes off as racist. I love my white friend & she's prejudice but don't realize it til I point it out to her. Maybe you're saying the same things. I tell her she's prejudice, because she has no power to be a true racist. BTW, if you have 4 mixed hrandbabies, you taught your kids something as to love w/out color boundaries.
