- Todd and Julie Chrisley speak with ET’s Rachel Smith about the upcoming ninth season of ‘Chrisley Knows Best,’ premiering Aug. 12 on USA. In this exclusive interview, the Chrisleys open up about the ongoing tension with their daughter Lindsie and provide updates on the many battles their family has endured behind the scenes in recent years. Todd reacts to Lindsie’s appearance on ‘Dr. Phil’ and claims that many of her statements will be proven false in an upcoming deposition with authorities. After nine seasons of the hit reality series, the Chrisleys reflect on the day when they sat down with their children before filming ever began. Todd remembers telling everyone that it was his and Julie’s job to ensure their ‘family is intact when all this is over.’

When I saw their daughter interview I could see how angry she is. I pray she can find peace, love and forgiveness. It’s terrible to have misunderstandings within a family.

Todd loves his children so much and what he did and said was out of love for his daughter but sometimes we got to let our kids go until they want to come home on their own.

Wow Todd said something so profound and true about giving his children too much because he didn't have much growing up because he wanted them to have more than he did! Man I can relate and I am from that generation like Todd and I just went overboard on my child and many of my siblings did the same! If I could do it over again I would change that mistake!

I believe that's true for most parents that grew up in challenging environment and circumstances. That certainly was true for my reasons why I parented the way I parented. And not just for my Partners children but as well as my nieces and nephews. And then I have turned around and said the same thing he has said on the things that he would have changed if he can do it all over again. Because my partners children so more of an ungrateful then life challenging behaviors.

I was hooked on Chrisley from day one . Todd is funny, sincere, I think he's a natural. Julie is the perfect wife for him. Their kids have made the show. When I'm down or troubled, I watch a few episodes and I cheer up. It's warm, funny and genuine. T.L.

I was hooked since day one
Same I loved the show & was hooked as well. I truly believe the show was a gift for us to enjoy their crazy antics. I do believe they are good parents, but...my issue is, I watched a whole thing about what they did & now seeing this, woooow. He doesn't seem remorseful for having actually committed bank fraud. I mean no, I'm NOT drawing major conclusions, as he is a bit too honest & I admire that. But they did cheat the same system (already crooked system) that we all live in, just to maintain a TON of wealth. He is not doubt a narcissist even if he is hilarious.
They have 8 counts on Julie & 5-6 on Todd (which makes me sad)....but while he was rollin in the lap of luxury bc he cheated the system, while the average person can't even buy their children Christmas presents or pay their rent. Tons of ppl who barely get by. So after seeing this...I'm just sort of feeling like Heck YES did I love them in the show but... Is it right what they did? No..it's not. Crooked elite are what keeps us struggling. So, remember that. 😕💔

I don't understand how some people expect this family to be perfect with no problems or flaws. They are human too. Atleast they don't pretend to be perfect like the Kardashians. The Chrisley's is a regular family. They remind me of my family and I'm Black.
Watch this show all the time. I’m 82 and would love to have this family and especially Faye as neighbors and friends. They are real, down to earth good people. I admire their family closeness’s. I miss my grandchildren now that they are grown but that’s life. Hope show continues

I Absolutely Love the Chrisleys! I completly believe Todd and Julie! Lindsey is a tortured Soul, and has had abandonment issues her whole life. I also believe for most of her life, she has been consumed by jealousy and envy toward Savannah. She wanted to be Savannah so bad, to be the one that had her parents together, and to have such a Loving Mother as Julie. I know she has been in a lot of pain, and she lashed out in anger to hurt the Chrisley family, because she has had this long standing pain and anger inside of her most of her life. I hope she finds peace, and I hope she can heal enough to admit what she did, have true remorse for it and try to make amends and move forward. I know Todd, although she tried to destroy his life, will accept her with open arms if she really would do that. I am so glad that Kyle is doing Great!❤️. I Love Savannah, Chase,Grayson,Chloe and Nanny too.❤️❤️❤️❤️. I wish the Best for this family🙏🤍
Lindsey needs to apologise to her family, she is wrong to say and do what she did. And for Dr Phil to get involved was just wrong. I bet Dr Phil family is not as strong as he wants the world to think. Sorry I just think Dr Phil was So Wrong with his interview with Lindsey. Something is wrong with that girl, to think she lied about her family. The life Todd gave her, was unbelievable, had to be Jealous.

Did anyone ever think that maybe this family is toxic Lindsey? How much did these people hurt her before she spoke out. How do we know she wasn't extorted? Why did she have to be jealous of her siblings? That's a problem that starts with the parents.

Would love to see this show on CBS,NBC,ABC not that USA isn't a great network but because this family is more authentic than most family sitcoms wish all could view, great clean fun content that is relatable, they laugh and cut up a lot which makes everyone watching laugh. The best medicine for hard times is a sense of humor, making the best out of everyday. Nice to see a family walk by faith.

I am 45 yrs old and both of my parents have passed ,5 yrs now ,what I wouldn't give to have them back, I hope this family finds peace someday

I have to admit that Todd has more depth within him than what comes across on the show. All families have issues to live and love through and I'm sorry all of them are having to face the devil. It will pass and because the family is based on love things will be better in time. Each of them is dealing with the situation in their own way. If Lindsay is really like she is on the show she has absolutely soajed her life in unnecessary stress and additional work. Maybe she broke. It happens. May God bless the family and heal each member.

I feel bad for them, I started watching them after I lost my son and they brought a lot of laughter to my life I can say that they helped me see the happier side of life. I don't understand the the legality of this suit that I really pray they don't go to prison we are all human and make mistakes I also feel really sad for the kids to have to go through this with their parents, karma does come around and bite you in the ass and it's sad that it was there actions that produced all this legality. Parenting adult children is harder that when they are small. Truth of all truth , there is no love without respect. If your children don't respect you, (not meaning always agree with you ...) they cannot love you. Parents must require respect and respect themselves enough to not eat what ever sh*t pie your kid serves up. Todd and Julie do that well. They allow adult children to live out their choices and consequences in love. In the end a parent wants to respect their adult child to love them to the fullest.
Just imagine going to work with your husband mother in law and children's while making millions of dollars living in a million dollar house driving 200k dollar vehicles sounds pretty tough.
I love this family and I love the show and Todd is a force to be reckoned with and his daughter should be embarrassed of herself for what’s she’s doing to her family. So many pple would die for a family like they are and she’s taking it all for granted. One day she will wake up and no one will be standing there all based on her own actions.
