    今あらためて見かえしても、本当にいいなぁ。実際に本当においしく作れるし、この切り方とか下ごしらえの丁寧さが、この取り合わせのセンスとかが、本当にいいなぁと思います。

    Wonderful! It's like a perfect cookbook, only better because it shows you how to prepare it! I love how she cooks. It's so.. graceful, too. Like she's making art out of her food.

    I love this dish. Had it many times while I was living in Japan. These videos are so helpful. I am very much a visual learner. We get to see the process from start to finish. So that great for me.

    I made a dashi stock with shiitake mushrooms last year. The broth was wonderful! But my mother told be she would rather just eat premade veg stock. I still can't belive she said that. She can't cook so it must be that. I'm not kidding either, she mixes the wrong herbs togather and either adds two much of both or not enough and waters everything down. Theres no way she'd eat this unless I completely altered the recipe to her liking. Ugh.
    Thanks you for the vid! Love the show!

    "Fill-its" SO KAWAII!

  • @WaruiTanuki
    @WaruiTanuki 14 років тому

    Made it! It was incredibly delicious, and not as hard as it looks! My carrots may not have looked as decorative, since they were just chopped, but any mistakes I made were from starting late and not paying enough attention and they didn't ruin anything. If you're afraid to make it because it looks too complicated, just give yourself a little more time than you think you'll need and give it a try anyway. Even if it's not perfect, it'll still taste good, and it's practice to do better next time.

    Because its removing the impurities in the stock that she is creating, she made a Dashi stock but than added more things to it like the veggies and the meats and when those simmer for awhile the impurities come out and float on the top. You want to take those out so that you have a nice smooth tasting stock to work with or in this case to eat at the end. :)
