I’ve said elsewhere. Chrysler as a brand has an identity crisis with no east answer. It would have been really easy to make that an EV brand and Dodge can keep going with cars that are still selling. Could still have done the Charger EV too. Missed opportunity
Chrysler has a long history of being behind Ford and GM when things are changing in the auto world. Chrysler has always had a thing for being a company that wants to be unlike others. Chrysler was late with responding to the personal luxury market. The Cordoba was introduced at the peek of time before the market began to slowly shrink and cars were downsized a few years later. Chrysler was lacking in the economy car market during the 1970s. There was the Dodge Colt, but it didn't get the attention Ford, GM, Honda, and Toyota got. The Dodge Durango was introduced once the Chevy S10 Blazer, Jeep XJ Cherokee, and Ford Explorer had already been in production. There's many more vehicles Chrysler's brands have introduced that are late in the segment.

"Dodge feels like they can't catch them with gas engines" That's a load of bull and they know it. There's dudes at the strip with suped up cars that squash EVs all the time. ICE vehicles still have a ton of untapped potential. On top of that, why try and compete with a car that's not even in the same catagory? Focus on what you do best and continue doing what you do.
Since Dodge is in the business of shock value, they should add a convertible option for the Durango Hellcat. That would be a fun ride out if hell for the family.

The reason Stellantis cancelled has nothing to do with anything discussed in this video. It has everything to do with their EPA and branding world wide. All their big motor cars where bringing down their fuel economy as a brand, and that hurt world sales. Full stop.
Myself personally I think dodge & chrysler is shooting their own foot off with them dropping the challenger and charger and wish they would go hybrid instead of them being replaced by that God awful ev non muscle car.
This is going to be a hot take but I'm honestly not sad to see the hellcat go. 80k+ for essentially an engine and that's it. Not really any other luxuries. And unless you had yours constantly locked up like fort knox there was a constant danger of theft.
I am beyond pissed we never saw a Hellcat Pacifica. I am not a Mopar fan. Every single person I know with a Chrysler product has had issues. Their minivans, sedans, trucks. Its truely amazing how they still can't build a reliable car after decades of building cars. Some of these issues have been very dangerous like a family friends Town and Country just losing all power on highways. They truely do no care for their customers. But Mopar lovers must be masochists or something. But I guess yall do yall But a performance muscle minivan would have been the coolest thing in the history of the automotive world.
We can only see what happens if chevy back in the game with they V8s dodge hemis gonna be an asset cause no more of them being built but in crates so hopefully we’ll see
performance part of the video is just engine specs, 0-60, quarter mile, and top speed. considering the price brackets these have crept into its kind of a disappointment

GM put 1 billion to build a new pushrod V8 Dodge is type of brand that could revive the HEMI later. They discontinued them after 2023 and you can’t even order one due to high demand from customer, so they will make bucks of this situation. The only problem is Stellantis and their EVs illusion

Peel off on the jakes, peel off on the cops, peel off in a swerve
"Dodge feels like they can't catch them with gas engines"
That's a load of bull and they know it. There's dudes at the strip with suped up cars that squash EVs all the time. ICE vehicles still have a ton of untapped potential. On top of that, why try and compete with a car that's not even in the same catagory? Focus on what you do best and continue doing what you do.
Exactly mate and besides Teslas are useless anyway.
Since Dodge is in the business of shock value, they should add a convertible option for the Durango Hellcat. That would be a fun ride out if hell for the family.
Dodge should just keep hellcat around longer because they can make money off of it like they were when it first came out
Glaring visual difference that is a dead giveaway a car is a hellcat was overlooked my guy…. Hellcats don’t have fog lights and instead have air intakes where the fog lights are in lower models
Really well done video sir! I have a Scatpack Challenger which I love to drive. I'm sad Ill prob never get a Hellcat
I work at Towbin Dodge Ram in Henderson NV we’re #1 in the nation for Dodge and Ram …. Great video‼️💪🏾
The weight is unnecessarily ridiculous. They are death proof tanks though. Someone not me, allegedly put one into a concrete wall at allegedly over 135mph and was completely unharmed.
The government ruins everything 😢
Top G does not drive a Tesla....Plaid or whatever....evs are for Bill Gates and housefreu who dont like to touch gas pumps...I am paying for hp not lace katellian doilies... I asked Dodge to build me a RoadRunner type musclecar..like the first gen Viper...but they put frosting on the Demon..Rest In Peace Mopar....
it was a good ride..
What got them canceled is politics and the EV scam. i
May as well discontinue Dodge altogether
Someone please wake me from this nightmare!!!! We can't live in a world devoid of new screaming HEMI's!!!!! To hell with EV's long live V8's!!!!!
Just any screaming engine 😢
The sweet sound of a BMW straight 6, AMG v8’s the sweet sound of a Porsche or a Ferrari, as well as good old American muscle. It will all be gone soon.
Does anyone know around what date would be the last date to order them in 2023?
Sometime December 1,2,3
Waited so long for this!👌
Did he mention the rearends blowing out? Did these cars also inherited the infamous Hemi tick?
At 6:12 the chart lists a convertible hellcat. Is that going to be made?
Yes late 2022 and 2023 you can order a convertible Hemi (R/T and up) for $25,999 extra from the dealer. They ship it to drop top customs who does the convertible job and sends back to the dealer
I get 17 mpg
$5.20 per gallon shell premium here in Los Angeles
$90 per tank
Ngl this almost made me cry because just knowing the fact that I will never be able to drive my dream car R.I.P challenger and charger hellcats 😕😕😕😕
The reason Stellantis cancelled has nothing to do with anything discussed in this video. It has everything to do with their EPA and branding world wide. All their big motor cars where bringing down their fuel economy as a brand, and that hurt world sales. Full stop.
I’m happy I have a German Hellcat. I ain’t never letting it go
It got canceled because they had to stop making ice cars for the electric car movement. You make it sound like they didn’t sell and had to cancel.
never thought u would have to make this video🥲 from 2015 to now u put me on to dodge
Hopefully, the Charger will be still around with a 4 door model and the Hurricane 6 cylinder engine.
We should be and thank you i was 18 when i got a 440 Barracuda i fell in love it was a different beast. ❤❤❤❤
Myself personally I think dodge & chrysler is shooting their own foot off with them dropping the challenger and charger and wish they would go hybrid instead of them being replaced by that God awful ev non muscle car.
The bad thing is over 15k ppl want it
Good video 🥰
Thank you, I do not have telegram, though
But I guess yall do yall
But a performance muscle minivan would have been the coolest thing in the history of the automotive world.
🙏🙏🙏 come to an end
Dammit this sucks! 😔
Not really cause they sold more of em. The gt500 were going for 110k+ vs redeyes that were 30k cheaper😂
I had a gt 500 but changed to srt like a year ago
Hellcat isn’t going away till 2025…
Truly a death throw of the combustion engine🔥
@Scott B why do y’all keep saying this y’all act like everyone is gonna have an EV next year,,, by 2030 the amount of EVs that’s gonna be on the road is gonna be like around 50 or 40 percent,, and we still got enough years to produce a lot of power for the infrastructure to handle EVs,,, current they can handle EVs cause there isnt a lot of EVs on the road,,, and it’s not like the infrastructure isn’t gonna grow as EVs grow cause that wouldn’t be practical…
GM put 1 billion to build a new pushrod V8
Dodge is type of brand that could revive the HEMI later. They discontinued them after 2023 and you can’t even order one due to high demand from customer, so they will make bucks of this situation. The only problem is Stellantis and their EVs illusion
@@jerelle_ talk to a couple of ev owners and I promise you will realize the sh!+ this govt is about to put us through. We don’t have the grid to support what they’re pushing.
@@jerelle_ i agree it’s what they believe is happening. It’s why they are producing monsters but at the end the icu will never die and will be around a lot longer than some governments believe or want for their globalists needs.
2009 hellcat redeye??? Who saw this mistake
Dammit there’s always 1 or 2 😅
Flaw?!!! The only flaw I see is Dodge taking away all the fun! Damn M/F ers!
Sucks that I can’t afford one yet
He said rap lyrics your killing me man
I could be wrong but I think dodge miss read the market the ppl buying hellcats aren’t gonna buy EVs… regardless of power muscle car ppl just aren’t gonna buy EVs…
Dodge should stop trying to compete with evs it’s not even their lane. Should stay true to the v8 and stay on top of the muscle car race ! Demon and Viper untouched !
Most powerful "factory" sedan
All that and you didn’t even mention the track hawk
not really. cause it's going be just a hellcat.
I don’t care how much it weighs. I love challenger way more than mustang or camaro
