Just bought a Chinese elm was delivered today. Leaves pale green yellow some brown parts. So have repotted it. Wait a while see how it does. This my journey with bonzai just this week
Good luck with the elm
I have many ficus, so I'm starting to make a bonsai right now...
Muchas gracias ...muy útiles sus videos .😘👍🙏🙋♀️
Thank you
I am still not sure if i water too much or too little.
Its hard to overwater, lift it out of the pot and have a look 👍

Thank you
Este é Tiger bark?
Si 👍
Your videos, like your bonsai creations, are simple and very elegant!
Thanks
I really enjoyed and learned a lot from this video. Thank you!
Thank you
Use terracotta pots. You will never get this water logging problem
Hi Sayef, its always a matter of your regional weather situation. In some places you will loose lots of plants drying out to quick when using terracotta and mineral soil. I use terracotta and plastic
👍
I highly don’t recommend this video for anyone. I did what it said and i lost my Bonsai Ficus
That is sad, but if the roots are in a late stage of rotting it is not possible to rescue the tree, sorry
Its wonderful. Congratulations! I love tour videos.
Nice to hear

Danke Melanie, LG
Sir, in my plant only one stem has leaves and its a bit greener but rest of the stems are brown n dry, what can I do to improve its condition? Also, whenever I pick up the pot there are some ant like insects on the floor, what can be the possible solution?
Sorry, can not do a diagnosis. Maybe repotting and relocating of the plant helps. Greetings
hey so my bonsai is a ficus, the branches are withering but i make sure it gets enough light....what should i do? The leaves ahed so much and im afraid its going to die within a weeks time
Hi, just take it out of the pot and Check if the roots are to dry or to wet and rotted. In the First case just water it. Otherwise Remove the rotted roots and replant it in a mix of peat and cocofiber for example . Then you have to hope for recovery. Good luck !
World of Bonsai okay thank you! Im glad that i can get trustworthy advice, i really don’t want it to die :((
Today I have just "rescued" two juniperus communis plants that had been surely watered too much at the nursery. They are a little "curly" and some tips are beginning to yellow. The rootball situation looks very much like yours above. Would you recommend repotting in a more suitable draining mix right away, or might that mean too much aditional stress for the plants at this moment?
I would do it now. Otherwise they will probably check out ! Anyway a little risk
@@WorldofBonsai thank you. They were very inexpensive and I figured the same; staying in that dubious dense mass won't change anything for the better anyway.
Thank you for the video! I'm a newbie in this whole bonsai/plant hobby world. I had a young mini ficus type bonsai on my office desktop, but due to the Coronavirus we had to left the office on March, and I could get it back on this July. It was all yellow leaves. But no harm/rotting in the roots. Since it was designed as a gift, it has a pot without drainage. Do you think I should trim all the yellow leaves and repot it onto a pot with drainage holes? with adding some vitamins? Thank you in advance!
Hi Merve, the yellow leaves are dead anyway. Drainage holes are a must, so just repot them. Good luck, greetings, Peter
@@WorldofBonsai Thank you for your quick reply, Peter! I certainly will follow your instructions and tips! :)

Hi Peter new sub here I am enjoying your channel I’m also a new Bonsai hobbyist just a question do the Ficus trees shed their leaves? Thank you in advance
Hi Vito, this types of Ficus keep the leaves all year long
World of Bonsai thanks
Stay safe !
@@WorldofBonsai Wegwerfen sowieso NIE! Iwas geht immer! Du weißt was ich damit meine ;)
Pass auf dich auf!! LG aus dem Rems-Murr-Kreis
stell dich nicht so an
Hi @WorldofBonsai - I have a ficus ginseng that was far too overgrown, so according to another UA-cam instructor, I trimmed some of the branches and repotted it but gave it a “root haircut” first… I think I might have chopped off too many roots! Now it is quickly changing to yellow or shriveled leaves. I might have added too much water too. I’m not sure how to save it - any ideas?
Just patience, takes some time to recover
I just had the same problem with mine and did the same process.
Had to cut off one of the roots it was already lost.
just hope it can make it :(
Good luck 👍🍀
Hi I’ve been in the bonsai culture for a while now and I have one young ficus bonsai. It’s now got black on the outer leaf what can I do?
Could be to wet, no idea 🍀
@@WorldofBonsaiyeah
What are those clay pebbles called? I only see large ones in stores.
They are used as insulation for houses. You may use any mineral stuff instead like lava or pumice
Which kind of soil mix you use for bonsai?
80 to 90 mineral like pumice, akadama, lava etc rest is coarse peat or so
Giusto! Molti saluti
My bonsai had spider mites 💔 I treated it. Now the leaves have little brown spots and are yellowing... What should I Do. Should I repot? Please help ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
What species ? What treatment ! Keep cool, either it dies or survives ! Give it a shower, place it in the shadow and leave it alone. No mor watering until it is quite dry
World of Bonsai I treated it with alcohol and dawn dish soap. I'm not exactly sure what species. We got it from walmart. Ginseng ficus Im pretty sure
World of Bonsai what are your suggestions
Thks for sharing.
Welcome
Hello! I have a young ficus, what I need to do so that it stay small and become thick? Just pruning back?
i would let it grow wild for a couple of year trimming every year,, thick equals growth.
Yes, that’s it. And use good fertilizer, but not to much
