How to Make an Art Video for Social Media: Reels, Tiktoks, Shorts, and More
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 тра 2022
- Like it or not, Tiktoks, Reels, and Shorts are here to stay. In this video, I'll share how I personally create art videos to share on social media-- quickly, easily, and without getting in the way of my regular painting process!
There are many ways to accomplish this, but this is what I've found works best for me. Check it out, give it a shot, and feel free to ask any questions in the comments!
From the video cards:
You will need:
1. A smartphone
2. A table mount
3. An editing app (such as Videoshop)
Phone settings:
1. Shoot in regular video format, not in timelapse
2. Change to 60 fps
3. Clean your lens
Editing:
1. Cut clips to 6 seconds
2. Remove sound
3. Adjust contrast if necessary
4. Double the speed
Enjoy, and good luck!

Thank you for sharing your secrets. You are so generous and we appreciate it. Go Hannah!!
I'm awfull at social media, but all my friends/family/customers keep repeating that I should show more and engage more on the internet, but I just sucked at it, so this video is a life saver! THANK YOU!!! I'll be sure to try it and hopefully find it a bit less scary
Let's go!
Awesome video, very informative and concise! My favorite part is 3:48. It's my new background
Fantastic guide for art videos, Hannah! I've found that pairing these tips with boost app social really elevates my social media game. It's great for finding unique captions and ideas that resonate with the art community on TikTok and Instagram.
Wow, excellent video. Clear, actionable advice. Well done.
You posted this at the perfect time 😂 only just now trying to figure out how to record my art and started with recording 40 min videos nonstop and then trimming it for the rest of my life. This saved me the trouble. Thank you so much! Also, love your art!
Thank you for uploading this video
Omg I'm always so lost when I want to create reels because I don't know how to get content, that's so useful thanks!
So i just wanna let ya know that im watchin this i 2024 and so far this is the best video i have watched 🙌😊 on point !
omg youre a dream, thank you!! I've been intending to actually start posting on tiktok but am so overwhelmed by all the editing options in the app. This makes it so much easier!! thanks again!
Thankyou for this!!! I have only one still photo of one of my paintings on IG, one, lols. This has been so overwhelming and stress producing for me, I can't even get started. This helps alot!! ❤️ I hope you do more tips and tricks like these in the future for those of us who feel like we're fish out of water on social media. I have a love/hate relationship with all of it, it's not easy being an introverted artist during these times when the only way to survive is to master social media. ❤️❤️❤️
Mmm this is really helpful, thank you so much for sharing this. I’m going to give it ago on my Instagram 😀 I’ve now downloaded the App. Now I need to create my pastel piece. Exciting! 😊
Thank you ❤️❤️
Thanks for the advise. I am an artist that wants to revive everything creative in herself via social media now. Currently in phase one :)~
Thank you so so much for this!! Il definitely tag you in my finished videos 😁
Thaanks :) and i think the different angles are just an option, sometimes you wanna record something like time lapse and i think its nice from the same angle too

Super helpful. Thank you!
Nicely said! It took a long time to really get comfortable while filming. My attention was focused more on the phone then what I was working on. Awesome job Hannah.
This was short, interesting and helpful. Thanks!
good stuff
Thank you queen!!! ✨💛✨👑🌿🐾
Great advice, I appreciate your honesty!❤😊

Lol I just got my gooseneck stand because I saw you started making reels... I was like f*ck I guess I have to. Thanks for the tips!
Random observation but your voice sounds like Arial!! 😍😅
Thank you! That was absolutely perfect. I have you saved in my playlist.
Thanks for breaking it down so even a dummy like me can understand ! -Subbed))
Excellent video! Thank you 🙏🏻 ! You were articulate and I appreciated that you weren’t talking so fast that it goes over your head for a newbie just learning.
Thank u so much i watched many videos related to this topic but your video was the best and most understanable!
You are absolutely the best!!!
Thank you!!! This was so helpful! Btw... love your work.
Very useful content thank you ❤
Thank you for making this video! Those were super helpful tricks I'm definitely going to test some out! I especially like that fancy phone holder. Trying to hold the phone with my left and paint with the right isn't the best 😂 also like how you do 6 sec clips at 2x speed.
Thank you so much for this video! I’m trying to grow my IG Account and intimidated by filming my art. When you mention the times and angles, does this mean it can be disjointed? I’m unsure how it will look if I do one angle with the first stroke then suddenly it’s almost done… is that how you mean it (more or less)? Do you have other videos with examples of a clip you edit down? Sorry this is long! Thank you so much for this video!
What is the table mount you used? Amazon has so many !
Great video, what process do you use for varnishing?
Maybe that should be my next video!
What medium were you using in your background videos is it acrylic?
UA-cam just deleted my comment, it's probably in your notifications.
Thank you so much for sharing such a helpful video!!!😭👏🏻 I’ve been too nervous to make the transition between photos and videos and I’m pretty sure nobody has been seeing my work very much because of it.🥲 Your information is so clear & concise that it makes it so approachable compared to other videos I watched on how to make video Timelapse’s of art!🥰💖✨👌🏻🎨
Thank you!
