I love that you use a clicker when you make a mistake. What a brilliant idea. I'll be implementing that in my workflow now, will make it so much easier to edit. I'll just be clapping to see the audio spikes haha.
If you don't have a clicker, a loud clap works.
I wrote this, then finished reading your post because I'm smart.
Yes, that will work.
The dot clicker for recording audio is spot on-- never would have thought of that. Really solid video with lots of simple techniques that are helpful.
It's super useful and makes editing such a breeze! ☺❤
I've been recording audio for videos for so long and I never thought about using a clicker to visually see my mistakes in the audio. Genius.
Yeah! It's a really neat trick and it makes editing audio such a breeze ☺❤

The dot clicker for audio is a game changer I can’t believe I never thought of that!
Could you please go a little more in-depth in how you set up your tripod for recording drawings on your iPad? I don't know how to set it up without bonking the thing with my chair or drawing at a really awkward angle 😂
I love your videos ❤❤❤ this one was no different. I admire all the hard work that goes into your craft it’s very noticeable how much times goes into it
Thank you so much!🐻♥
This video is very cool and informative. I appreciate the thought and care that you put into making this. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve watched a few of your videos out of order and thought I should drop a hello!
I must say that I have enjoyed the content I have watched so far and have found it helpful, especially when comparing it to the mess I have of social media😅
It can be such a struggle for me to stay on top of Instagram and UA-cam but I appreciate your process and have felt your explanation of things to be somewhat of an anxiety reducer! So thanks for that! ❤Keep being creative❤
I'm so happy to have you here and thanks for leaving a comment! I appreciate it so much 😊 I'm so happy and glad to hear your thoughts about my content and it's so great that I've been helpful! It's all I can ever ask for :) I really hope you a good day and I wish you the absolute best! ♥♥♥
came for one thing but received so much more. thank you for the quality and inspo!
I'm thinking about jumping into You Tube and this video was great. I loved the pacing, the style and the vibe. Great tips- I took lots of notes!
I aspire to reach your level! I do a lot of recording for practice, but still find trouble getting it all to work together LOL one day, hopefully! Until then, I love watching other creators showing their process. Love the dog clicker part, too!! I usually wave my hand in front of the camera, which seems to make editing it harder LOL I’m gonna borrow that idea too. Keep up the great work!
The dog clicker has immensely sped up that process for me so please borrow the idea! And best of luck with you videos!😊
I've never heard of a dot clicker before but that's such a brilliant tip! I literally made dot points as I watched. It's so interesting to see your process. I love editing videos, I just get really anxious filming.
Filming was something I was super anxious about too at the start but it honestly gets so much easier the more you do it ❤️
@@fructusillustrations I've just got to practice but I've been filming B-roll clips again so I'm excited to play around. I love the editing, just the filming makes me nervous haha. Knowing it'll get easier does help, thank you :3
Thank you so much for showing and explaining your process, much appreciated. 😊👏🏼
Please can you share the thing you used to tilt your phone to record.
Beautiful video as always ♥
I just stumbled across your channel tonight and I really enjoyed this video. Keep it up, you are doing so well!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate the encouragement 🥰
thanks for sharing this. I am going to re record a few videos now after seeing this
Go for it! 🐻♥
@@fructusillustrations thanks. ☺️
These videos are so nice ❤
I'm recording a lot, but I struggle with taking the time to edit. It just feels like it takes so much time to make a video. I'm mostly working in capcut for Tiktok. I haven't contemplated starting a YT yet because man I don't really want to be a content creator. I want to be an artist. But you gotta market. ;_;
Totally understandable! Editing can take a long time and it can be so tiring. What I try to do to shorten my editing time is to create a plan for my videos so that when I'm editing I don't have to think too much about where I want things to go. I would have already decided that so I do need to keep moving things back and forth. Also what I find the most useful is to work on a computer. Personally I can edit more quickly with a keyboard and mouse. I also use as many keyboard shortcuts whenever I can and I use a mouse with a horizontal scroll. All these little things can speed a few things here and there to shorten the overall editing process 😊 And I know you're not alone in not wanting to be a content creator. It can be especially tough if you don't enjoy the process. I've come to enjoy it because I try to make the process as simple as possible and I've found that I really feel like it can be an alternate form of expressing my creativity!
@@fructusillustrations I'm not great at scripting mine. I kinda get an idea in my head and just go with it. I'm more charismatic when I go from the heart instead of trying to plan it. Sometimes, I make a few notes if I have more long/serious thoughts to share, but most of my vids are very off the cuff and very "genuine" and me.
I hope that will help me stand out in some ways.
But I got annoyed with Capcut the other day because it kinda ate one of my vids I spent an hour on. *cries*
Ahhh I love your videos!
Man, that's a lot of work, keep it up!! 👏
Oiii amo seus vídeos ❤
So elaborate and helpful. Thank you 😊
This is the type of video I've been needing for motivation! Thank you so much but I do have a question for a complete beginner, what kind of content do you recommend recording / posting for IG and TikTok? Especially if I have no orders (I love packing videos watching & making) but what about those who don't have any orders coming in?
You can share process videos where you show how you created a particular item or piece. You can do mini studio vlogs where you show what your day is like. You can share how your product works or how to use it. Just share the other details of your work and art!
this video is very helpful thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
i really love your videos
Can you please share what desk you have? My desk is relatively tiny - not much room to dress up my shots so I would like to upgrade. All I have room for pretty much are my essential tech equipments and the artwork.
This is just what I needed! My videos are not that great (I am only doing short form) and I'm gonna try and implement some of your process so I can make some improvements. Did you mention what you are using to hold your phone on to the stand? I have this cheap plastic thing and it isn't very secure.
I'm excited to see more of your short content and see more of you art through it! For my phone when I record, I use a tripod! Specifically the one I use is from Amazon and it's the Smvchen 70"Axis Horizontal Tripod (exact one is linked in my store front if you want to check out the details). It is a little pricey but there are other options that are cheaper. I used to use a Sunpak tripod that was about $25 ish dollars I think 😊
Ooh, I actually meant the little clamp or holder that is holding your phone - Or is that piece something that comes with the tripod? The one you have looks very sturdy. I have a plastic one with rubber ends but doesn’t hold my phone very securely. It slides out over time and has fallen out actually lol.
Thank you for a very informative and interesting video. Can I ask you, do you film your Instagram and Tik Tok videos in landscape as well like you do for your UA-cam videos?
Thank you for the super informative video! What’s your method for transferring audio/video files from your phone to computer? I’ve been using iCloud and idk but it takes forever lol
I just airdrop them from my phone to my computer since their both Apple. It transfers very quickly that way 🐻♥
i feel like my space is very tidy but might be boring for viewers, so i'm in the process of decorating... any tips on how you keep your angles interesting visually? 😊
I like to make things visually interesting by adding objects in either the foreground or background. That's the main one but I also try to change the view of the angle. So maybe something close up and another one that more of a wide shot. Just a couple of things to think about 🐻♥
@@fructusillustrations i like those ideas, thank you! 😊 for the moment, my artelier is a little bare, most of my decorating stuff is stacked away in one space, i need to spread them out more... or buy new ones! 😁 (any excuse is a great excuse to shop for cute things)
Jen, may I know what else you use with the tripod for top-down shots?
hey there. what's that fountain pen you were using in the video? white cap, transparent body, orang/red(?) ink, whole body is a giant twist converter. looks so cool!
It's a TWSBI eco fountain pen! The ink is called Habanero and it's from Noodler's ink! This pen was recommended by many experienced fountain pen users and now that I've been using it, I definitely agree!
Which tripod do you use for filming your videos? I noticed you have 3 in your Amazon recommendations
Yeah so the main one I use is the Smvchen 70"Axis Horizontal Tripod!
Thanks for the useful content
May I ask where you got your clicker from?
I got mine from Amazon!
Hi, I’ve been looking for a good pair of headphones to buy, but have always been kind of iffy and picky on my selections😅. What brand of headphones do you use/recommend?
I have the Sony WH-1000XM5 and I have been using them for almost 2 years now and I love them. The quality is good and they are comfortable to wear for long periods of time so yeah I would recommend them :)
@fructusillustrations Ok, thank you SO MUCH♥️. Also, would you recommend them for people who have sensory overload. I seem to have it, after wearing headphones for long periods of times?
Step 1 : be rich 🙂
I am failed step 1 what's the next step 🥸☝️✨

How are you able to use mac services on Samsung tv?
I have my MacBook Pro connected to the Samsung with a usb-c so I use it as an external monitor :)
hi! what camera ru using for filming?☺️📸
It's a iphone 14 pro camera
❤
wait, you’re using iPhone for youtube video?? cool angles!! thought you’re using camera good video btw 👌
Yep! All shot on my iPhone! 🐻♥
Does anyone know the name of the tripod?
What tripod do you use the one in your Amazon store doesn’t look the same as the video lol
It's the Smvchen 70"Axis Horizontal Tripod 😊
aesthetically the video is great but you dont actually go into depth about the "how" you dont tell us what brand of tripod you use, how you angel it for top down because from the video you showed, you cant do top down that way and so much more, its very brief and not alot to go off of
I love the video - but I have to ask where did that little chicken plush come from? 🥹
