    Dear friends ✨
    There must be a blue moon tonight because I'm posting another YT video. One of my goals for next year is to be more consistent at posting videos on here (be that one video a month) I have the set the bar low at first, ya know? 😂
    I get asked how I create and edit my reels since it looks like I post one daily but actually I don't post a reel daily (anymore) 😅 There is so much to be said about instagram's algorithm and artist burnout buuutt... in this video, I'll walk you through a pretty comprehensive tutorial of how I film, edit and post an IG reel! I hope that this video can help you simplify your process and perhaps speed up your content creation!
    So enjoy our filming, painting and editing sesh 💕
    ✨ If you watch to the end, I've included 6 bonus instagram reel ideas for artists whenever you get stuck but need something to post! 🤗

    Love it, so many tips ❤ thank you for sharing these ❤❤❤ love the canvas tripod light… tempted to get one, if the cost of delivery overseas wasn’t that expensive 😂 even though I do have a good setting, and now I even upgraded to have my phone hold by magnet, so makes it easier to turn around. Love the idea of filming snaps of it instead of time-lapse, I use time lapse a lot… some snaps of it makes sense. Thank you thank you thank you ❤❤❤ really appreciate it the ideas. ❤

      Yayyy!!! I'm so happy that you found this helpful Claudia! Haha well from your videos I think your settings are working great! A phone magnet sounds like a game changer. Hopefully one day Canvas will have a shipping center overseas 🥰 Thank for watching💕

      @@DearElaine Awww thank you ☺️ it’s been a while I done a reel lol 🤣 I finally seat down yesterday and was inspired to make December cover page of my bullet journal. I did time-lapse already lol 🤣 now I will do snaps of it when I paint it. 🥰

    Loveeeee your art style and video! Thank you for sharing beautiful tips. ♥ I have question (if you don't mind), I would like to know do you switch on any other lamp in the house if you're recording in the evening? I noticed you use warm light settings but do you switch on the main lamp in the house too? Thanks in advance.

    • @DearElaine
      @DearElaine  5 місяців тому +1

      Hey there! Thanks for watching 🥰 So yes, the main light of my home is on while I use the canvas lamp - the canvas lamp has 3 light settings and I try to match the one that is already on in my home - but in general I prefer the warm light because it's easier on the eyes in the evening and I prefer recording in that. Hope that helps!

    Thanks for mentioning those trustworthy free apps. I really need to step up my Instagram game. And by that, I mean to actually use it. I typically only use it to keep tabs on friends, family, and favorite creators. I don't tend to post anything myself. 😐

    • @DearElaine
      @DearElaine  5 місяців тому

      Kelli, I will be the first to follow!!! Honestly, don't feel pressure to post just to post, if you end up collecting pics of things you want to show the world then start at a cadence that feels right 🥰

    Very helpful video filled with great tips. I'm just starting my ig channel, and making videos of my art and especially editing them is overwhelming me.
    Could you please do a detailed, slow video of how you edit in Capcut and other apps? I'm from the dinosaur age, and learning softwares has never been my forte. 😅

    • @DearElaine
      @DearElaine  6 днів тому +1

      Hi dear, this is a great topic- i will add this to my video list - i think it would be very helpful to show slower editing - I tend to edit my videos to be pretty fast! yikes! well i'm excited for your new ig channel though!!

    thanks for the video! Do you use the same application to edit UA-cam videos? If you can talk about it, how do you make the cute lyrics?

    • @DearElaine

      oohh i should add it to my video list! Like how i make my handwriting wiggle? For my youtube videos I use premiere pro because the videos are very large and they are on my computer

    What do you mean by "exporting and then re-importing into a new project"?

    • @DearElaine
      @DearElaine  6 днів тому

      Aw, i wish i explained it better- so when you save it to your phone it's "export", and when you add the video back into the capcut program, it is "import". I do this as the last edit because for example i can reduce noise on an entire video at once without manually editing all the sections individually
