Rogue agents who were fanatical enough to either perform a coup, or flee the planet outright, would've remained housed within our walls. A house divided falls all the more easily. What divisions did we have when The Witness arrived? What divisions would we have had? If anything, she made a united force which was the ultimate cause of her defeat in WQ, and served as us taking on the duty she sought to take upon herself. The game has done a fine job of telling this narrative all on its own. It hasn't needed a UA-camr unless you missed something, which granted, it's been a long story, so you'd be forgiven for missing things or forgetting events.

Ty things like this help me catch back up with the story after playing up through rise of iron and part of red war and then coming back to find expansions missing and this new seasonal format going on. Still not sure what the expansions are for now or why I’m basically being charged twice once for the expansion and again for the seasons when all the content and story and cinematics are all tied to the season thing now and there is seeming no content in the expansions anymore, it’s just confusing… Came back season of the seraph only to have that turn into season of defiance a week or two after starting to play again. Season of seraph was confusing and couldn’t figure out what content was from what season or what expansion or what the narrrative was or who the bleeping hell this callus guy is supposed to be as we were fighting dominus ghaul aka Gary and the remnants of the taken war and hoping and praying Queen Mara survived the fight with Oryx and last we know it was implied she was possibly trapped in the void crystal variant of the sword we got for beating Oryx in the taken king and we still had siva crisis and taken war to clean up on top of fighting a new red war on top of trying to help the awoken rebuild their fleet the reef and the vestian outpost and crow aka uldren was supposed to be a key part of that since he led the crows and was one of the few who seemed to have any idea what was actually going on and the rumor was Varyks might end up Kell of Kells that Skolas had pretended to be. Then came back and found uldren turned bad or something and then somehow became a guardian named crow and now this callus guy is here and almost nothing makes sense anymore and apparently we are fighting Xivu arath and savathun now at the same time along with the vex ships apparently being cabal/witness ships instead or something? So yeah at least season of defiance has started making everything make sense again somewhat and Queen Mara is back, though still don’t understand why she finally came to earth and is seemingly living on the farm and has a vendor screen when she is like the major main character of the entire franchise so far other then the player character and now she’s a vendor and one with no inventory even yet. Just glad she’s visible and able to be interacted with now instead of only being on comms or kept behind that tall door in vestian outpost the corsairs and paladins never let us through in destiny 1. Love how the stories here about Riga and Ager are a awoken fable and yet also about the battle of Saturn and what happened when Mara and Uldren kept Oryx and his dreadnaught from wiping out earth/last city. Will be nice getting to see all these new cutscenes and filling in the story and catching up a bit. Btw, why can destiny 1 run so well and so smoothly and have snappy menus that come up near instantly and much faster then you would expect and even at one time had cutscene viewer/player built into the game itself, but now destiny 2 has like 6 loading screens before you can even load into orbit/game and then the menus are very slow, the commendation screen often dissapears/times out before it ever loads so it’s difficult to be able to give commendations, the screen my friend on pc gets before crucible matches showing the six guardians is just a black screen or black screen with loading indicator for me, and sometimes even the character model of my own guardian that is supposed to be there on the character/gear swap screen doesn’t load. Don’t understand why destiny 2 struggles to render guardians and menus lag so much as one of the best parts of destiny 1 was how snappy and responsive the game usually was/is, especially since all the articles I read say that was the reason so much content was removed from the game was to improve how well the game runs? I have a Xbox one master chief edition console with 1tb drive built in and 1tb external wad my passport drive so it should be fine I would have thought running destiny 2 but character rendering has been a problem. And sometimes on neomuna world the robes of my character get suddenly stretched out really far during gameplay at random times like someone grabbed a pixel and pulled/yanked hard on it. I’d consider a Xbox series something or other since I’m told they are more available now but other then destiny 2 everything runs fabulous on my Xbox one and we even just got goldeneye 007. Power rangers keeps absolutely ruining the franchise lately with then crazy marvel/dc comics bs plot lines boom studios comics keeps doing, turning pink ranger into a ranger slayer, Zedd into a power ranger, teenage mutant ninja turtles into rangers in some crossover thing, it’s like gah! Enough already! Comic books seem to be intentionally as outlandish as possible trying to be like newspapers and tabloids and sell more pages by using the most controversial things they possibly can. While the tv shows had a stable good canon of really good stories and lore building, but now the comic books are getting so popular they risk infecting the tv shows and movies with their brand of outlandish ideas. So please no comic books in destiny universe like ever under any circumstances even if warren buffet bill gates and the Amazon guy offer to pay you a billion dollars from each of them it just isn’t worth it. Love the storytelling and immersive ness of these cinematics and destiny world universe lore building etcetera, and even when there is an idea that might be outlandish out of context it’s done tastefully and thematically here with supporting lore all up around it making it run of the mill almost for destiny in a way that makes it believable for this universe and story. Like destiny seemingly invented paracausal out of thin air never ever heard of it before or in any other context but in destiny lore it works and makes things make a lot more sense then they ever would otherwise.
Y'know, these cutscenes all hit different with the recent revelations about the first collapse and Savathun's involvement in it.
