Humanity's ancient foe has returned. As the Black Fleet fills the sky, a strange power pulls friend and foe alike to the ruins of Europa, and a new Kell wields the gift of Darkness to unite the Fallen.
A new power is born out of the ancient Pyramid ship above Europa's frozen frontier and a dark empire has risen beneath. In Destiny 2: Beyond Light, you will bring down the empire at any cost - even if it means wielding the Darkness itself.

Underrated DLC, the story/lore content was really good
It has the misfortune of releasing alongside sunsetting and that's the #1 thing people think of when they think of Beyond Light. If not for that people would probably look at it a lot better
Correction: a rated dlc. The story was bad. The lore was good.
Also, the base content was very bad. The entire campaign was bounties and the only decent content was the raid.
Overall, a very bad dlc worse than Curse of Osiris for its price.

interesting that they included a promotional story trailer as part of the cutscene collection
PLEASE let us replay the Beyond Light campaign. I would love to see my character in the cutscenes again after we can change their appearances
Yeah, I'd love to replay the entire campaign. We can even replay all Shadowkeep missions (on a weekly rotation, but still), but we can't do that for Beyond Light.
4:52 I’ll always ask why this shot was the reveal of the big bad for the dlc: an unimposing camera angle as she waddles into frame with animations that evoke a guy in a mascot costume.
It feels like the consistently good cinematography of destiny began to tank around this DLC
Aramis was a great character villain...Varisk was cool too. Beyond Light was fantastic!! Man, these Destiny archives keeps reminding me why i loved this game so much...sad it's almost over.....
The birth of Stasis Subclass Marked a new Page in Destiny 2's History
Still my most favorite subclass ever.
Hopefully someday we get a stasis 2.0 update with new abilities.

Decent destination, Raid, lore (especially Clovis/Brays), new OP subclass. The seasonal armor wasn't the best but enjoyable content still available in game. 👍
This was a good dlc and overall campaign was decent unlike most other dlcs

Dude, Bungie needs to team up w Sony to make some animated series. That would definitely revive their franchise.

@Lippecreeper She didn't feel that threatening nor as sympathetic as the story tried to make her. Eramis spent much of the story yelling about how the Traveler was to blame for the destruction and loss of Eliksni's civilization while using power and strength from the thing that's actually responsible for it... with little to no convincing from the Witness. It would be understandable to harbor negative feelings for the Traveler, but the fact she never blamed the Black Fleet is dumb.
What really cements just how dumb Eramis is that she thought the best strategy moving forward would be to open a dormant Vex gate and summon forth a Vex Invasion force, expecting it to focus solely on us and not on the giant dome she called a city. The first Eliksni city in over a thousand years, and she ruined it. She's not the cunning, ruthless pirate baroness Bungie made her out to be. She's a dumb angry crybaby.

This game still doesn't have a new enemy race. Aside from Subjugators and Tormentors (Which are just raid boss turned as enemies). I mean the universe of Destiny can not consists of Fallen, Vex, Cabals and Hive only. C'mon bungie.

The thing is the storyline can't just randomly place a new enemy race into the game. The story is already too far into that. Until we finish the storyline with the darkness we can't get a new race.

Idk why people kept hating on this DLC, Yes I understand that Stasis ruined PvP for nearly a whole year, that’s shouldn’t be the only reason this expansion was bad. The Story was peak
Edit: I forgot that “vaulting” happened when this expansion dropped, that was my bad lol
It’s because the campaign were just bounties and missions and the story sucked. We got another mid villain who was just deranged and darkness is finally here again but this time have a subclass
Also, the content was very bad. The only decent content was deep stone crypt. The only weapons worth chasing from the entire dlc were heritage and succession

They do that sometimes. To make older stories more easy to find. Through official videos.
So that way people have an official source to go to if they're trying to find cutscenes from specific seasons/expansions

Most broken subclass in destiny history StatiSss..
I really liked this story, but it wasn’t what we needed. We needed to know about the witness here and now. Instead we got a fallen story that vaguely hints at an entity controlling the pyramids. This was an underdelivery that set Lightfall up for failure.
Silver purchase for beyond light subclass please.
