And what about feet elevated scap push up? Elevating the feet change the angle and the humerus gets past 90° of flexion. It's a bit like the yoga push up position, but obviusly much harder.
Would you have the same comments about the forward rotation of the scap and the 90° angle if you were doing this in quadruped position? And secondly, would you recommend the Quadra ped position if you are trying to increase mobility for folks who are severely restricted in the upper back (older clients especially)? I've always used this to stretch and contract rhomboids and serratus.
eric any advice on one sided aggressive retraction during exercises? i find when i do pullups, pushups that my right scapula tends to aggressively retract, causing me some shoulder pain.
