- I've been wanting to remake my UWU guide for a long time, give it the love it deserved. I have decided that I will be a bigger presence in the future when it comes to Final Fantasy XIV content, so please look forward to it. Art isn't my job, but I'd love to change that in the future, so I'll keep working to improve.

Important PSA! For anyone who's like me and was having a lot of anxiety about Ifrit nail dashes because cardinals and intercardinals feels like a lot to keep in mind! You don't actually have to keep track of whether or not you're starting at a cardinal and if the Blue Ifrit is also on a cardinal or if it's on an intercard or whatever! Here's how I started keeping track of it and making it SO MUCH easier on myself:
- Find your starting position (Nail 4; 'top left' of the Z). You can always find this if you lose track by looking out the arena for the two close Ifrits, it's the one on the left.
-Then point camera toward the center of the arena to look for Blue Ifrit.
-If he is to your left, move once (45 degrees)
-If he is behind you or to your right, move twice (90 degrees)
-If you're Searing Wind PoV just reverse all this/use the other 7/8 players for reference.
That's literally it. Everyone makes it sound like you gotta have extremely good and consistent spatial awareness to keep track of the nail orientation around the arena, and where the cardinals are, and 'is that one opposite you an *inter* or a *cardinal*'. That shit doesn't matter actually! Because the order you kill the nails is consistent every time, and the shape of the nail orientation is consistent every time, and your starting place is the same every time, you can just think of it this way, and in my experience at least it simplified the mechanic to a degree where I would almost call it free.

Since I first tried clearing UwU legit a WHOLE YEAR AGO, I've been wathcing your guide for EVERY SINGLE ATTEMPT: And now I can finally say that today, on the 28th Feb 2024. I finally cleared UwU, my first ultimate. And I just wanna say big thanks for this guide and for everyone who's been apart of my journey. I've probably watched and replayed this guide over 200 times!

What were your prog points were you actively doing it for a year were you taking breaks? But Gratz on the clear, but it should really only take 3 weeks to clear or about 30-35 hours of prog that’s about where I’m at rn on ultimate suppression
@RinTheBard well we all go at our own pace and speed but if you want the full timeline then here you go:
2023 late January: my TEA static and I decided to swap from TEA to UWU so we started in Februrary where we raided twice a week for w hours. I think it took us 1.5 months to get to Annihalaiton for the first time
1 month more we would still be very hardstuck in even reaching there. and then when the last savage tier dropped. we disbanded cuz we wanted to do the new tier with our savage statics
then I think I did the tier for 3 months not touching uwu once. and then I had a long break which lasted until the start of this month ^^
so it's not been 1 year continuingsly it's just been 1 year since I started it
Congrats! It doesn't matter how long it took you; you did it! I'm sure you'll have many more ultimates in your future! Just a side note, Rin's timeline is odd. Time varies greatly based on experience, whether you're PFing or in a static, how many people you have with you who have already cleared or progged, etc. There is no "appropriate timeframe" to complete an ultimate, especially off-patch. Great job on your achievement!

Very good quality guide, both visuals and content wise. You show both diagrams and ingame footage from each role's pov, explanations on mechanics are easy to understand and I especially love all the little things like the helpful practical tips inside the box on the bottom, icon/color coded text showing if a mech deals physical/magical damage etc. 10/10 will recommend.
As someone who used your original video to help get my clear and 12 more, I can't thank you enough. Now I can share this with those I want to help get the clear, so thank you for all your hard work! This is EXTREMELY well made and conveys all the important bits very well.
This was such a beautiful remaster of a video that was already pretty good. The way the primal all starts off with what goes on during each mechanic was really good, and then walking through each Ultima mechanic, and seeing all the different ways to resolve them other than UPR.
A fantastic remaster and will definitely be using this when I go back in to relearn the fight. Nice job!
This is my go-to guide for UWU. The clear graphics/HD quality video shows a ton of mechanics I struggled to view in other videos, and your explanations are spot on to help learn efficiently!

Your old guide was one of my first looks into UwU, and now I've got all but 2 of the Ultima weapons. This was a massive glowup, having all the Primal abilities covered at the start and then going through the mechanic timeline, as well as the Annihilation/Suppression multiPoVs was great, and that's not even talking about the edits!

To new proggers to UWU:
Be patient, encourage yourselves, take criticism like it’s candy, you will encounter salty players on your progging ITS OK, don’t prog then prog more, prog then clean up your prog point then move onto the next. It’s all about memorization, patience and mental fortitude. gl

@@fearsome-Chan my DMG matched melee, it's just way harder, i did it both as fake melee and range ( range is harder ) and overall smn is just busted, but BLM do fine

I really wanna clear an Ultimate some day.. even if I don't really like the looks of the weapons or the title, I still wanna say I at least tried. I ain't got a static and probably won't ever have one thanks to how busy I can sudden get during the week.
Still, I'm determined to do one some day and out of all the current Ults, I think UWU's weapons might be one of my more favorite ones so I'm thinking of starting off with it when I feel ready.

Mario Kart is doing me a confusion. They all put Mario Kart on PF and yet they just run away wherever. Id say its more like Mario on crack.
I've always wondered; for primal roulette, does addle/ feint/ reprisal work for the raidwides? Or do they only work as mitigation for the stacks going off?
Targeted mitigations don't work on anything that is not cast directly by ultima, unfortunately

Hi! I saw that many UWU parties in the party finder is using a method called "Standard Strats" (Midruda, revZ, mariokart). Just want to confirm whether this video is demonstrating the "Standard Strats" or is it something else? (if this is not the standard strats, what should I call this in the party finder?)
These strats are the standard in LIGHT partyfinder in Europe.
