I don't practice any faith currently but I wouldn't trade having been raised Christian for anything, there are a lot of important values learned through it. Seeing your family raised in this way that is so contrary to what most people deem as normal by today's standards is heartwarming.

You're inspiring the rest of us to blaze our own trail. In the last few years we took our kids out of public school, started homeschooling, expanded our garden, started chickens. We're looking for a home with a larger property to expand our animals and food production. It's all overwhelming. But thanks for sharing how days aren't perfect. One step. One project at a time.

If you want to make the brine and have it ready to put the veggies in right away, just take a small portion of the cool/ room temp water that you need, dissolve the salt in that and add it back into the rest of your water. That way, the salt dissolves but you don't have to wait for everything to cool all the way back down ☺️ hope this helps for next time.
Oh and you definitely don't come across as run ragged (Farmer here too) We only see little bits of your life. I hope UA-cam can be an encouraging community for you bc you and your family are so vulnerable with us! 😊 Thank you for sharing!

I would love to have rabbits, chickens and pot bellied pigs but the wife says NO. SO, I sleep in until the sun has started doing it's thing. Those kids are wonderful! Do you actually have disagreements within your family? What do your children think of being on camera for public viewers being able to see?
A Q&A with your kids would be awesome. Just simple things, what they enjoy doing, how they see their lives, what dreams they have. But anyhow, this has already been an amazing insight in a day of life and it was a pleasure to watch. Thanks to all of you. You are simply awesome in many ways.

Disagreements...? OH YES!!! Those just don't usually make it on camera ;) Kids for the most part really enjoy being on camera. It teaches them good stage presence, while we are still able to maintain our privacy. Good idea on the kids Q&A. We will ask them about that 👍
