It’s cool that Rolan’s projection is noticeably more scripted and robotic compared to Gale’s. Does a good job of showing the difference in experience and how Rolan still has more to learn.
Rolan is literally higher level than Lorroakan its so funny how obvious it is that Lorroakan is a sub-par wizard that just happens to have this tower and its treasure trove of enchanted items
I just LOVE how there’s this massive beautiful tower in the city of Baldur’s Gate that apparently doesn’t have a legal owner, where it’s basically just down to whatever wizard is squatting there at the moment until they get over-ambitious or displaced by one of their juniors Like…WOW…does the City itself say nothing about this? I’m surprised Gortash wouldn’t have claimed the tower if it was truly unoccupied officially.
And be inconvenienced by constant barrage of wizards with have bloated egos trying to get the tower? He would not have time to do anything else but fend off those pesky arcane hucksters days on end. World domination would have to take the backseat.
dude lorroakan itself is charlatan LMAO, maybe he's so good at faking it so gortash didnt notice lorroakan fraud, or gortash know but never really in hurry to take it over since he have something more important to do first
I justified this mentally by applying the same rules the Wizards use in Morrowind. The Winner of fight to the death between Wizards is the legally & morally correct one; whoever lost must've meant their claim lacked merit.
Larroakan pays taxes to the city so he apparently is the legal owner. If you go to the shop after Aylin goes there but before the boss fight bluff you can talk to Larroakan's projection you can trick it into thinking that you are Gortash's employee here to collect his taxes and he will actually pay you.
Rolan is in the grove, and can die in act 2 as well if you don't save him before Moonrise. (He tries to get to moonrise himself and ends up in combat along the way, and will die if you go to moonrise before saving him.)
"If they're all like you, I think that sounds like an excellent bargain." I had to clap for my boy Rolan right there. So glad to see how far he came in his journey.
For me the game bugged, Rolan acted like he never met me, and then he took his side, I wanted to knock him out, but Aylin unleashed the unmatched power of the sun and fucking vaporized him before I took a step in his direction
Same here. Knocked Rolan out during the battle, and then he just vanished as I left the place, and is nowhere to be found now. He was in the reception when I entered the tower first time, and acted strangely like he was fighting some kind of mind control, etc.
@@foetusdeletus6313 that makes sense, in my save his sister managed to get to the boat, but the brother got fucking atomized by an upcasted thunderbolt , there was like 4 people in line of that spell, but the fucking cultist decided to target 1 damn thiefling. The pettiness of this asshole

They don't talk in them and they fast flash through everything with no explanation. Come on folks please think of us noobs sometimes when you make a video
Did you already meet him in the inn? If you already meet him, make sure he survive the inn ambush attack. After that just go save his brother and sister. After you save them, Rolan will missing. You can found him near the entrance of Ketheric fortress. Just make sure to save him before meeting the Nightsong
If anyone else happens to see this comment and also needs help, I find that the easiest sequence is to talk to him after arriving at the Inn. Later on, if you go back you will find a video recording he made saying that he left to go find his siblings, and if you check the map you can see his position as a quest marker. Go there ASAP and move quickly to his position. You might want to bring a cleric to heal him up or to Turn Undead the shadows before they can hit him.
Lorroakan admit that Rolan actually more stronger than him. Watch cast speak with dead on Lorroakan here: ua-cam.com/video/vvt3FpI9LEw/v-deo.html

Also compare it with Lorroakan, which required prompts while his projection allow sentences.
Also showing their skill gap and Rolan’s potentials.

Feels really proper in mine, Rolan ended up killing Lorroakan by pushing him off the rails onto the lower level. Glad my homie got his come up.

Oh no, now I’m sad that in my game Rolan got killed in Act 2. He was my only casualty back in the attack on Isabella at Last Light Inn.
Nooo :(
I sold him some healing potions before the fight and he ends up tricking them to survive.
