so far all the GOOD examples i've seen for Chorda involve DAWs/etc and just treating it as another MIDI device. the built in controls are clunky, and it ends up being a beepy boopy fidget toy for the most part.
So far (had it for less than 24 hours) I do see it as a toy. I have a studio full of hardware synths and controllers and this doesnt fill any gaps or give me any capabilities I dont already have. The ONE thing it will give me is the ability to kill some time when I travel. My next experiment is connecting it to my Roland SP-404 MKII sampler and see what I can do. Both can run on battery power so those with a portable speaker and I can take it on the road. The touch pads are pretty sensitive on the Chorda and that allows for some quick movement around the notes, but also tends to pick up accidental notes as well.
