With only missing an info an removing the shifter-position indicator wire, this was one of the best, cleanest and completest HC replacements ive ever seen on video!
Hi everyone very important very important. Before you remove the brackets under steering wheel column to drop make sure make sure to remove shifter wire adjustment line wire or you can break it's right under the column heads up on this. I noticed on removal of dash this wasn't included your welcome.
I have a 99 with v10, any idea on how to remove heater hoses from the firewall? It looks bad because you can't see them. My son has same truck with 5.9 and it doesn't look that bad. Thank you for any information.
I did this repair recently. What I ended up doing was using a sawmill and cutting the metal pipes on the old one if that makes sense. My dash was also trash so it turn out to be easier than I thought. @@charleswaybright7144
#AbsoluteRebuilds Can you please Do a video on this truck showing the complete removal of the whole dash assembly to get the heater and ac blower box assembly out of the truck? I have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 Laramie slt st with 8 ft bed and a 5.2 engine and 4x4 drive the previous owner cut most of the ac stuff out i want to put it back and he had someone " temporarily fix " heat to only goto the defroster i can find anything wrong with it in the truck so i have to pull the whole dash to get the heater box out??
take a sawzall or body saw and cut the firewall bigger from under the hood.....just make one big hole and it will go in much easier....then take some great stuff fire rated foam to seal it up once you know you are leak free...
Oh my gosh you don't have any comments in the comment section I'll be first. I just did this install my self the dashboard was all busted up . I got the heater core in after several tries . Now I need to address the broken dash . I purchased a new dash cap from LMC Truck here in the U.S. it was far superior to the factory one. And the dash bezel was replaced as well. I stumbled across your video by accident. Hopefully they will come up more often. Thanks for your video help...

Can't you do it without removing the dash? Usually you crack the dash removing it due to age if it's not cracked already.
Great Video! Your accent reminds me of Borat! I love your video… it very nice!
My dash on top is all cracked too like this one, is that all one piece or can you separate to replace

How much would u charge for a job like this
Excellent video
Can't seem to figure out how to get the heater core lines in through the firewall into the engine compartment

Sorry for my late reply! Let me know if you need any assistance
Nice video. Remember to unhook the battery and airbags?
Do u have to discharge ac to be able to change heater core?
Not unless you are changing your evaporator as well
Watched several videos yours was the 👌
Rock solid
Did you see the dash break?

My 2001 doesn’t have any screws at dash and windshield
Still won’t come out
Now would have been a good time to replace the dash
I see those propane injectors.
Dodge should be ashamed that the dashes all disintegrated and give us all freee toppers
All that just to replace a heater core
Really helpful, thank you!
