Great vid, really like the black interior colours, combined with the wood. I imagine both those colours hide dirt too, which is handy. Lots of the vans which are the ubiquitous internal white colour, look nice but must be a nightmare to keep clean. The 600AH must be awesome 👍

Hi Sue and Derek, we love watching all your videos, thank you for sharing your lives with us. We are getting ready to hit the road indefinitely in the next few months and are binge watching everything we can find on life on the road in a big caravan. One thing that is not mentioned and I guess it is because it is so personal, but I am struggling with what clothes to take and how to pack them. I am slowly culling but finding it difficult to get down to one small hanging cupboard and a few overhead cupboards. Along with "camping" clothes, and nicer things to go to the pub or shops with, catering for the summers and winters we will encounter, we will be visiting family "back home" in Tasmania. This means we will need clothes that we will keep for flights back home to Tassie regularly. We thought of keeping these "good" clothes in suitcases in one of our tunnel booths, do you have "nice" clothes tucked away for flight travel for family visits etc. any tips for this? Great van. We currently live in an 18ft, and running out of space as I am also working full time from it, running my business. I need space for my supplies so thats the only reason we are going to upgrade to a larger van eventually. Other then that this size is PERFECT. Nice van. Not a big fan of independent suspesion on dual axle vans but I like the attention to detail Vacationer have done. Also remember that the Ziggy is illegal to use on gas bayonet (even though lots do it)

Hi Charlie, thanks so much. Thats super exciting for you. We have the Carefree manual awning. We feel a manual awning is a bit quicker to set up and sturdier than the one we had on the Nova, however that was a very small awning and I have seen some of the bigger electrical awnings appear to be sturdier. Our awning was flimsy and quite complicated to set up the storm kit. Guess it all comes down to preference! Good luck with your selections amd please feel free to reach out at any stage.

Hi guys, thanks for the message. We are amassadors for Vacationer and so worked with them to build a van. Loved what they put in the van and they worked with us being really flexible on what we wanted to add to the van specifically to suit our needs. We loved our Nova as well but felt the Vacationer also met the ruggedness in terms of off road options plus being ambassadors.
Hi Andre, the Nova was a great van and we loved it but wanted to build a rugged off-road to spec to suit our specific needs and Vacationer was happy to work with us, seemed a quality product at a good price and were flexible on design, components and allowed us to add and change and remove etc. We always wanted an 18.6 but the Nova was a great interim van.
Absolutely gorgeous van guys. You've given me some inspiration for choosing colours in our van. Are the black cupboards matte? If so do you find they are easier to keep clean ?
Great looking caravan looks really smick thanks for the walk around and tips. Derek, did you get the van weighed before and after fully loaded, and did it stack up with factory weight specifications? Also, was the ball weight as per factory specs. We pick up our van later this year and was wondering how close the factory specs are to actual weight specs.
Thank you . I was there for the weigh and all seems legit . I have not weighed the van now that it is all loaded up . I have how ever weighed the ball weight and with the outboard and all my gear it came in at 335 kg . We are adding two water jerry cans to the back which should get the ball weight at about 320-325 kgs which will be better .
Congrats Guys awesome looking van great layout and decor, just a question on the composting toilet what put you off in installing one as Chris and Miriam swear by it.

Composting toilet was a bit of a late change as we have spoken to a few more people in regards to it and did some research and for us it was not ideal . 1- you have to sit and pee , 2nd- you can’t rally get the pee in the composting part as it will affect the consistency of the compost , 3rd - is I believe it really smells on the pee side of it as you have to empty that part out . The final thing was if you have an upset tummy you will struggle and you can’t throw your toilet paper in the toilet , have to throw it in a bag . It’s was just what we have listen to and read up on and made us stick to the cassette toilet . Just our opinion
Great van. Looks amazing. I think you need to go through 2 vans to learn what works, what you need and what you want subject to weight and budget. Although looking at videos on you tube like yours you can learn a lot. We are on our second van. I knew nothing about the full solar/12v/inverter/battery tech that you now have. Interested to see how it goes for you because if it is foolproof, looks like we are going to get our 3rd van.😁 Can you tell me the brand of the smart tv you have. My wife misses netflix on the road so I have been instructed to fix her problem. 😂😂Again I know nothing about these things. Any advice really appreciated.
Thank you . We love every inch of it 🙌🏻 it does take owning a few vans to get it right . The tv is a 24 inch englaon and so far works a treat . We were nervous of the smart tv as we have heard some are not that good . We watch Netflix every night and has not given any problems so far

Hi guys, thanks for the message. We are amassadors for Vacationer and so worked with them to build a van. Loved what they put in the van and they worked with us being really flexible on what we wanted to add to the van specifically to suit our needs. We loved our Nova as well but felt the Vacationer also met the ruggedness in terms of off road options plus being ambassadors.

Hi Andre, the Nova was a great van and we loved it but wanted to build a rugged off-road to spec to suit our specific needs and Vacationer was happy to work with us, seemed a quality product at a good price and were flexible on design, components and allowed us to add and change and remove etc. We always wanted an 18.6 but the Nova was a great interim van.

Great looking caravan looks really smick thanks for the walk around and tips. Derek, did you get the van weighed before and after fully loaded, and did it stack up with factory weight specifications? Also, was the ball weight as per factory specs. We pick up our van later this year and was wondering how close the factory specs are to actual weight specs.
Thank you . I was there for the weigh and all seems legit . I have not weighed the van now that it is all loaded up . I have how ever weighed the ball weight and with the outboard and all my gear it came in at 335 kg . We are adding two water jerry cans to the back which should get the ball weight at about 320-325 kgs which will be better .
Congrats Guys awesome looking van great layout and decor, just a question on the composting toilet what put you off in installing one as Chris and Miriam swear by it.
Thank you 🙏 . We love the van and our choices . Composting toilet was a bit of a late change as we have spoken to a few more people in regards to it and did some research and for us it was not ideal . 1- you have to sit and pee , 2nd- you can’t rally get the pee in the composting part as it will affect the consistency of the compost , 3rd - is I believe it really smells on the pee side of it as you have to empty that part out . The final thing was if you have an upset tummy you will struggle and you can’t throw your toilet paper in the toilet , have to throw it in a bag .
It’s was just what we have listen to and read up on and made us stick to the cassette toilet . Just our opinion

Great van. Looks amazing. I think you need to go through 2 vans to learn what works, what you need and what you want subject to weight and budget. Although looking at videos on you tube like yours you can learn a lot.
We are on our second van. I knew nothing about the full solar/12v/inverter/battery tech that you now have. Interested to see how it goes for you because if it is foolproof, looks like we are going to get our 3rd van.😁
Can you tell me the brand of the smart tv you have. My wife misses netflix on the road so I have been instructed to fix her problem. 😂😂Again I know nothing about these things. Any advice really appreciated.
Thank you . We love every inch of it 🙌🏻 it does take owning a few vans to get it right . The tv is a 24 inch englaon and so far works a treat . We were nervous of the smart tv as we have heard some are not that good . We watch Netflix every night and has not given any problems so far

The propane tanks should be on a slide ins8de the storage box. Should be that way for an off road RIG.

Don't take much notice of the first blokes coment great looking van honestly can not see the sense of these huge battery systems I have 300 amp hr system and we 2 can last easy 6 days the thing the brings us back to civilisation is water we carry 180ltrs and food

Not really . Our last van was a 16 foot and weighed just a little under this van and it is bigger . It has a lot in it and we like the big payload
