So Love your New Van..Great Solar and Battery set up..overall a Stunner..hope to catch up sometime on the road. We have a VanCruiser 17ft 6 in Heavy Duty Off Road InterCeptor..coming mid year..also with a lot of bells and whistles..keep pumping out those posts..your Boys are a Scream….always get a laugh when there is a cooking segment.

Alanya if you get yourself some velcro strips with sticky backing so you cut your velcro to size and stick it down wherever you want and you do the same thing with your items now they won't be lost or damaged in travel. You can do the same thing with your coffee machine if you have one heaps of Velcro and it will sit on the bench and won't move. And definitely excellent for remote controls and stick your velcro onto the wall for your remote.

Congrats, congrats, congrats. So proud of you guys with what you have chosen, and added to the van. Elenya I told you you would not know what to do with the all with the new space.
Nick, what brilliant inclusions you have both chosen. That new Projecta system has to be a game changer for the future, monitor your van levels, gas levels, and even a tpms system all readable from the app - unheard of. The layout and neatness of the wiring, fuses etc, has to be a lesson to other van manufacturers. Looking forward to your shake down trip, and video.

FYI if you haven't considered it, your tail lights are obscured by your rear rack.
To make sure they're able to be seen you'll need to add an extra set on the rear bar near the number plate.

Great looking van - no doubt years of fun ahead. I noticed that right at the video start there was a shot of the safety chains not crossed over to form a cradle in the advent of a mishap plus the chain mounts will come in contact with the ground if the drawbar skids on the terrain - must be above the lowest point of the framework - just check your state regs on that one.

Agree with Duckman, rear lights look to be blocked somewhat, I have a RR also 22R, had extra lights installed higher up. Also, your bike rack, same issue as me, fell off trying to put a bike up there, so installed a Yakima bike rack on the spare tire. But a nice looking set up, love the amount of power and Solar you have…..Safe travels…

Hey Tony! Thanks for following the journey! Ours is around 140k at the time we signed the papers but the industry has had price rise after price rise so not sure on an exact price for it now. We have a lot of extras on it though. Happy travels and good luck picking a new van out 🤠👍 how exciting

What a beautiful new rig guys, you’ve done well! Just wondering if your fridge is 3 way or compressor? Our new van came with a 3 way which we don’t love so we’re thinking about changing to a compressor one so it’s a lot more efficient off grid and we don’t need to worry about gas for it.
Hey guys thanks so much. Ours is a thetford compressor fridge. We really love ours uses around 5 amps/hr when on. I think if you have a decent size battery and solar set up compressor fridge is the way to go 👍
Love the van guys, congrats and all. I started watching you guys cause you didn't have the same massive set up like most everyone else, and your channel was more for the average family that could upgrade their camper to something bit more comfy and head off for a lap, specially with littlins. Was keen to see where you could get and the other big base vans and channels hadn't already covered, cause they literally wouldn't fit. Ps why do all van and camper manufacturers colour code pretty much everything black. Answer, because it looks old and worn when the dust turns it a lighter colour, that can't be scrubbed clean. Best part about yours is its 1/3 I'd say scratch resistant. Happy travells.

Hi been watching your shows and the one about the weight of the van and ute was very interesting as we have a 2015 Dmax and in 3 weeks we are setting of on the lap. The new van looks great and the interesting thing l see was the Dominic DRS. I'm thinking of fitting one myself and would like some feedback on it and have you driven through any rain 🌧 or down poor and has any water gotten in.

Hey frank it’s great your setting off!! The drs isn’t to bad we got a tiny bit of rain the first time I put the rain stopper in (not sure if I put it in right) they are not to bad for the price but if we had our time again we would put a carafan in 👍

I just wanted to share with you what I do when we leave our caravan and go sightseeing for the day.
If you pull out your brake away controller off the caravan when it move’s the brakes automatically come on , that is what I do . But I would like your thoughts and what people do just incase someone think’s of taking it. 🙈😳😎

Hi Steve and Jude thanks so much for your support. We have had both and they are very similar. Not sure on gas consumption though between the two. We went with the instant as it came with the van already. Honestly don’t think there is much difference. The one thing I liked about the drum heater is that it had a dust cap the instant ones don’t come with dust caps.

Nice van , just ensure your ziggy has a flame fail built in , some don't. Its now illegal to use from the bayonet outlet if it doesn't have one

That is one serious and beautiful van, congrats on the upgrade. I have been looking to upgrade to a van as well but I am concerned about weights. I have a 2017 Ford Ranger. Ford states it is rated to 3.5 ton but in reality it is only legal to 2.8 ton so I am considering a 16-18 foot van with an maximum ATM of 2.7T. Does the DMAX struggle to tow the new van? Loving the videos.

It is the struggle to get the right weights isn’t it. Maxy goes better than we thought with the bigger van. It slows up on big hills etc but all round it’s ok we aren’t in a rush so we just take it easy. It’s great on outback roads when we sit between 60-80kms corrugations etc. Thanks so much for your support!👍🤠

Hey mate that solar controller part of your system if it is only 40amp is only utilizing about 60% of your solar capture. I've got 700w solar on my van and that is maxing out a Victron 100/50 mppt , absolutely not having a go, the system looks mint just seems 40amp a bit under gunned

Hi nice van but is it ok to ask do you take the tv down when you travel and how to you go when free camping with 190 litre of water but only can store 90 litres in the gray tank as well as what you tow it with as I just getting in to the caravan think thanks
Hey no worries at all. There are a lot of dump points to release Grey water into around the place even at some Dre camps/low cost camps. We tow it with a isuzu d max with upgraded gvm&gcm 👍 thanks for watching 🤠👍

How long can you run the air-conditioning on the batteries
If there is no charge at all coming in to the van around 4 hours the air con uses about 80amps per hour. 👍🤠 so if you have charge coming in you can do the maths 🤠👍
The gvm and gcm would have to be over or is there a new vehicle?
