Great explanation! The auto seems like the option I would choose.

I did not realize how much I was used to engine braking until I drove the Taycan around with recuperation off. The Taycan just coasts so well when you take your foot off the accelerator. It is a little alarming as any ICE car slows a bit just by letting off the gas. I got used to the Taycan quickly and like the easy coasting.

How do you set recuperative auto mode as a default setting?

0:50 No 1-pedal driving! Newton's 1st law applied to the fullest. It takes more energy to start from rest than in motion.

I wish Porsche put paddles on the steering wheel to adjust the amount of regeneration. That would have been perfect.

You know I had tried out Recuperation On but don’t like it. I sometimes use Auto but most of the time I use InnoDrive which gives me Adaptive Cruise Control and all the Regeneration I need.
I have a Bolt EV also and had it for 35k miles, I did use to like one peddle driving but after a while my passengers complain it’s a bit golf cart and jerky stops.
I hear that the Taycan Sport Turismo will allow 290kW regeneration. Even more than the Taycans 265kW.

I have a 2021 ticon for S on the automatic recharging it would stay on all the time when driving I took the car in for a major update a few months ago and ever since then this feature turns off automatically when driving I have complaint to the service department and they can’t give me a correct answer on why it turns off automatically should this feature stay on full-time? when using to me, it’s a hazard when it goes off automatically when you expect it to slow up when getting too close to another car.

Hi, thank you for the video. Question:
Do you know why the recuperation mode sometimes is not available? “Adaptive recuperation not available”.
Also do you know if is there any way to save the configuration because every time I start the car is in off mode.
    Thanks

The car has to start in normal driving mode recuperation off. There is no way to change this. My best guess is the camera in your windshield is being obstructed possibly by dirt or bright sun.

I wish Porsche made it so that the settings would save whenever turned off but I believe that is a flaw of the Taycan, the infotainment could’ve been built much better

Great breakdown. Is that the 4S? I feel like if you build this car in RWD, you need to spend at least $115k to get a decent build.

Any help deleting unused garage buttons please? Also, how can you rename a existing named garage button name? Tks!

To delete swipe the name to the left. You can rename the profiles under HomeLink settings.

would still prefer if they at least offered one-pedal-driving as an option 🤷‍♂
