Have you had to take it to the dealership for any software updates I’ve heard some require it to stay at the dealer possibly for a week or longer. Is there a way of ditching the key fob and using the phone as a digital key?
Hey there, I don't know of a way to operate the car without the fob. The car is setup to sense the proximity of the fob so it knows when you're there and unlocks the doors etc.. Also you can't lock it using the handle sensors unless you have the fob. I'm going to do a video about the software update - just got the car back as a matter of fact. I had both recalls and the update done.
Thanks for the info I’m really curious to hear your experience with software updates any glitches I’ve heard some have to reboot it. I had a Porsche service advisor tell me about some software updates requiring an extended stay at the dealership. Looking forward to future content.
If this car is "connected all the time", this is a source of revenue for Porsche, it knows who the owner is, where it is parked, knows where you drive, when you drive, knows how fast you drive, your driving habits, it knows how many people are in the car, likely knows & can infer who is sitting in which seat....all this information you are giving away, & information, (Big Data) is worth as much as gold...keep you face staring at the phone, & your head in the sand.

@@audiserbiadrive SOLID car tbh, loving it so far
The Key 🔑 fob looks really awesome 😎
Good job. Very informative. Is there a web browser in the infotainment system?
Can you turn on AC or Heat from app and let it run? Can you also keep it cool in the summer for like an hour while parked at a mall?
