You could tell by the video of the court hearing how torn up or in emotional turmoil. You can't move on until you've healed, it's impossible.
I feel like there is absolutely no remorse on the part of Brian or his parents.
This story hit the news just a few days before my birthday in 2021. Gabby is or was the same age as my youngest daughter. I don't know if it was all of the details or just that she was my daughter's age that this really made me an emotional wreck. I stayed glued to this channel and News Nation 24/7. I couldn't talk about it without getting emotional. Like the other 90% of America, I want justice for Gabby. For her poor Mom who loved her more than life itself. To have that kind of relationship with your Mom, that you talk everyday or every other day is exactly how my Mom and I were. I lost her in 10/2020. 🙏❤️🙏❤️

I have 4 sons, now adults. If one of them committed murder, I would do everything I could to get them to turn themselves in, and face what they'd done. I am a domestic abuse survivor, but aside from that, no matter WHAT the circumstances, you can have your day in court, something she (or he) will never get. If you have ANY kind of decency or morality, you urge that child (and they will ALWAYS be your child) to "fess up". If not for their own sake, for the sake of the person who is lost forever.

There is no law in the US that says we are obligated to report a murder, on top of which, they were well within their rights to choose not to speak. I'm not saying their behavior wasn't cruel (to the extent that the Petito family was not informed), but how is this supposed to be resolved in the courtroom. They can't be charged for being shitty people, so what is the objective of this suit? Brian is dead. • @ahe79
      @ahe79 2 роки тому +9

I don’t think it was that he wanted notoriety, as he already had it. He just wanted to look like a good guy. Wanted people to sympathize with him and not think poorly of him. He robbed Gabby’s family of her presence, and additionally with this “confession” he robbed her family of the truth, for his own purposes. Selfish to the end. Even his suicide was a selfish, cowardly act, not one of a grieving fiancé. He just didn’t want to face the consequences of a trial, and be anyone’s boyfriend in jail. Yes, this is conjecture; my own opinion. But I don’t think I’m off base.
As was mentioned, if Gabby was found mere yards from the side of the road, then his “story” doesn’t hold water. (Not that I believe any of it anyway.) I read the entire rough transcript of what has been released. He said they were too far to get her help, and knew they’d have to cross a creek. I guess there were a lot of creeks/streams in the area, as she fell in water when it was freezing, according to him. Which is why she was injured. He eventually stopped carrying her to make a fire. And the only thing he could think of to help her was to show her “mercy” and take her life? Yes, he could have moved her body after killing her. But why wouldn’t he have tried to do that in the first place when she was still alive? Or leave her to find help, despite his report of her not wanting him to leave for fear the fire would die down? Also, if he was afraid that her concussion would cause damage and tried to keep waking her, then when coming up the conclusion to put her out of her misery, why wouldn’t he just let her sleep, then go for help? Isn’t a coma better than death? I know we don’t all handle stress the same, but come ON!
He didn’t love her. Narcissists and psychopaths aren’t capable of love in the way average empathetic people are. He mirrored behaviors. He “performed” love, he didn’t EXPRESS love.

It's awful to think that Brian murdered Gabby but, wrong as it is, it does happen that someone who supposedly loves another kills them. What is almost incomprehensible to me is that the Laundries, from the very outset refused to even speak to the Petitos or help them in any way and were prepared to let the body of the young woman they supposedly loved and had supposedly welcomed into their home lie undiscovered while they abetted their son. Foul creatures. I hope the Petitos see justice.

What jumps out of the Letter at me is when Brian allegedly says: "It was a Shock to my Parents, as well", indicating to me that his Parents, didn't just know Gabby Died, but they absolutely knew what their Son did to Gabby! (& I say "When Brian allegedly says...", bc a part of me believes that Roberta helped Brian write this Monstrosity).
It's clear to me, based on this Letter alone, on top of the Laundries Actions (or lack thereof), that NONE OF THEM Cared about Gabby, (NOT BRIAN, NOT ROBERTA, NOT CHRIS, NOT CASSIE) let alone Loved her, as "Brian" claimed in the Letter. Especially, if they could allow Gabby to lay, Exposed in the Elements ALONE for Days, while they Camped & Plotted, KNOWING that Brian had Killed her & KNOWING that the Schmidts/Petitos were desperate for even a Crumb of Info regarding their Daughter! The Laundries didn't enact their 5th Amendment, they Impeded an Investigation, Destroyed a Possible Crime Scene by Cleaning out the Van, & WE ALL KNOW that Roberta put that $20k in Brian's Acct, bc he wouldn't have told the Moab Police they couldn't afford a Hotel, he wouldn't have Flown Home to Close out a $100-$200/Mon Storage Unit to "Extend their Trip" & he wouldn't have used Gabby's Card for Gas if he was sitting on $20k! It's Evident that Roberta (& Chris) put that $20k in his Acct to Aid him in whatever he did after he left their House & that's EXACTLY how they knew to File the Paperwork needed to get their Money back as quickly as they did, since Brian would no longer be needing/using it.
What the Laundries did & are continuing to do, is Sub Human!! They're Disgusting! It's Evident that Roberta is & has been the Mastermind, Leading this Disaster, holding Brian's hand, while Treating Chris & Cassie as Puppets (which doesn't make them Innocent... They're just as Bad, bc either of them could've gone to the Police w/ what they knew or called Gabby's Parents!! COMPLACENCY IS NOT AN EXCUSE! I think she wanted to leave him and we know that leaving an abusive partner isn't easy.
This is more PLAUSABLE and PROBABLE and lines up with the partial notebook confession. I think she was trying to LEAVE Brian, he could not allow her to go, just like Amber Heard would NOT let Johnny go, a trait of Personality disorders and Narcissists. I believe she tried to leave and an argument ensued and Brian hit her over the head with a rock in anger.
It was DARK and COLD, Gabby had run away from him, but then with a major concussion, bleeding and confused, Gabby tried to return to the car and fell in the creek,. She was still alive and in pain from the concussion and could not SEE where she was going and was FREEZING from being cold and wet.
Brian "may" have tried to carry her back to the car, or started a fire, but then decided to put her out of her misery by strangling her. In other words, the ROCK caused so much damage and didnt fully kill her, so strangling her ended her pain & misery that HE CAUSED in the first place.
If you are going to commit suicide then why tell a false story? Probably becuase he didnt want to hurt the family or the potential aunts and nieces, didnt want them to later read the story and think HE was a brutal KILLER and could not control his narcissism and anger. So he invents a story that makes it seem he is the HERO that put Gabby out of her Misery. I DONT BUY THAT ONBE BIT!!!

It can be argued that the Laundries had the right to silence, but (in my opinion) what they did not have the right to do was to send out a public statement which lead people to have a false hope when they knew the truth. Technically, that false statement was addressed to the public and could be viewed as a false statement to Law Enforcement during an investigation. Seems that should be civil as well as criminal. Hope all the truth gets revealed for Gabby's family.

She was on UA-cam and sharing her travel plans with the world. I honestly wonder to some degree if something else happened entirely and maybe Brian was too high or drunk to know whether or not he had done it himself. There's so many possibilities. Thousands of people have been wrongly sentenced to not just death but a life sentence for a crime they did not commit. He killed himself with means he hated himself and was disgusted with himself, but that still doesn't make him guilty. When you stand before God I'm sure he'll tell you what really happened. I think before Brian strangled her, he might have either pushed Gabby and she fell and hit her head, or hit her over the head with a rock. He probably DID carry her, but it was more likely to end her somewhere out of sight where he wouldn't be seen and she wouldn't be found for a while so it would be hard or impossible to see any soft tissue injuries.
And I think the suicide letter was composed while Brian was at this parents' home, and worded by the parents, the attorney and Brian himself, who wrote it so that the handwriting would not be questioned and included some of his real sentiments. It's a script. A declaration calculated to cover his parents' ass and protect them from a civil suit and public disdain, while making him sound like a hero (helping and carrying Gabby, then doing a mercy killing when she said she wanted the pain to end.) Then the passive-aggressive line about wanting to be eaten by animals because that would make her parents happy.

tbh if my son did something like this.. i feel like that would be a failure on me. I’d feel responsible for not raising him right, not seeing or refusing to acknowledge signs of abusive behavior. My conscience would kill me. couldn’t imagine doing that to another mother.

If i did not, she would turn me in herself. she would still love me but she would be ashamed of me. she wouldn't ever help me get away with it. obviously a parent that would help their child get away with murder, is way more likely to have a child that would kill someone in the first place.

I’ve read the full confession, note, script, what have you, and my first question is why is the writing different from paragraph to paragraph. The part that says, “I ended her life,” is written in almost a feminine cursive way, much different than the more slanted style sloppy print of the first half of the letter. It also still paints Brian in an air of being a savior, and depicted gabby still being difficult all the way to the end. Example: Brian carried her as long as he could and instead of getting help didn’t leave her side bc she insisted. Also he ended it by passive aggressively telling us to pick his shit up and not leave it out there bc “Gabby hated ppl who litter” How calculated to still try to garner sympathy for his own bad choices while trying to go out the hero

I''m guessing there was no cell phone in the location where Petito was found or they would have tracked cell phone pings to that area..... and that was not what led to her discovery. It was the video passerby's on vacation that led to that area being searched.

Brian had possession of the van until after Gabby was reported missing (over 2 weeks). He was seen by UA-camr Doug Live North Port Florida in an undeveloped area of North Port several miles from his home with the van. He used both phones on his way back to Florida so phone would be pinging wherever he traveled. Phones have to be in Florida somewhere. He was seen on security cameras in an AT&T store with Roberta getting a new phone in early September.

No way Brian wrote that alone just before killing himself. I believe his parents are complicit and involved in some degree. So much fishy going on. That letter was planned out and is way too long for a desperate confession note of someone just about to shoot themselves. Plus all the “don’t go after my parents, they’re so innocent” stuff sounds very very convenient for them right now.
So cruel of them to do this now. This story is BS, but nevertheless all the descriptions of Gabby being in pain and torment are going to horrify her poor parents even more. This is sick.
The FBI should be all over the parents IMHO. There are a lot of questions to be answered.
All just my thoughts and opinions.

Brian seemed to be a very immature young man. He lived vicariously through books that had a violent nature. His art work went along with this hidden violence he devoured. His "diifferent" notes between published notebook and electronics notes that are different in nature by some wording, could be his fantasy for a good story/book. Like the ones he read and lived by..?? A very confused man, taken up by a world he created for himself by what he ultimately focused on. Violence.

Is it not normal police protocol when someone is reported missing, for the actual police to go knocking on the persons door? Why did the Laundries not get questioned by the police? I don't care if they threw out a lawyer card. "We are investigating the disappearance of this young woman", "We would like to ask you some questions". Then they should have been brought to the police station. They could have still remained silent, but wouldn't that have made them "suspect" from the beginning?

Or maybe it was Joe petito,he was in the area banging on the laundries door was he not ?,he never liked Brian,he emasculated him by calling him "Brianne" but you all carry on holding him up as some kind of hero, you have to wonder what kind of father he was ,it's a well known fact that girls seek out male partners that are like their fathers,I dgaf if no one likes this, you are all quick to blame the laundries, but what about the petitos who lied about how many times they contacted the laundries and took too long to report Gabby missing, and why should the laundries want to speak to them when gabbies father emasculated Brian and treated him like a c**t
The first page of that note looks like it's written under duress to me ,I have my theory as to how Brian REALLY died and it wasn't at the hands of himself or his parents.
I'm not sticking up for Brian, the whole thing is a tragedy,it was toxic on both sides,if only Gabby had left him when she had the chance,I'm sure her big rough dad would have come to collect her,and by the way,she was no angel, how everyone forgets the restaurant situation don't they ,not that she deserved to die of course, but the two of them were toxic together
