So the love of your life falls and hits her head and goes into hypothermia and the solution is to strangle her to death? Makes no sense. Absolutely none. He was still manipulating people with this notebook until the end of his miserable cowardly life. Brian thought he was a character in one of those bizarre novels he read all the time. What a martyr. His parents released this notebook IMO to make the world not so "angry" with Brian. Good luck with that Laundries.

Brian tries to de-escalate the situation and he's called an abuser. Gabby tries to de-escalate the situation and she's called a victim.
Gabby was the primary aggressor but escaped arrest because the cops felt sorry for her. She just engaged in criminal activity and her whining, with a contorted face, kept her from being held accountable for breaking the law. Brian minimized the situation, to keep her out of handcuffs, and he's vilified for it. Of course, people don't want to acknowledge Gabby's behavior because it contradicts the popular narrative. She's the ultimate whyyte damsel in distress, abusers don't look like HER, they look like everyone else.

People are so emotionally invested in this case that they literally can't tell fact from the stories they make up in their heads. Your post above is a prime example. Targeted individuals have been in the news there's documentary's there is evidence of the different types of program's and Ways to hack into peoples minds. What there is not. Is Medical examinations by the people who warn and speak out against the CRIMES that can be commited.. neural rights are Human rights. Medical examinations for targeted individuals. There's ways to detect the Assaults just like there are ways to Trace cell phones or radio stations. There's ways to intercept the signals too.. scary thought for the targeted Victims... but there's ways the authorities can catch the people who commit these crimes..
I hate to admit that Drs Law enforcement and Law firm's are failing the American citizens. EMF sensitivity has been recognized as a real Medical condition. microwave auditory effect is a real Medical condition. When people use this technology intentionally to hurt others it's a CRIME. It's a violaton against our Civil Rights for Law enforcement agencies not to INVESTIGATE.. some people report to the police several times. And nothing gets done to help the victims. Yeah I believe the gov would run Illegal experiments I believe creepy scientist would use this technology to harrass a woman of interest. Or Men.. some people sitting in Thier own yard's are Assaulted and on the News but where is the police? Why are They not looking for the local person that could have the microwave assualt weapons in their garage? Victims have caught criminals on video using microwave energy weapons to shoot at things yard and even assault people. I believe he called when they weren't shooting at his garbage cans but an elderly woman walking past. The police questioned him about why he's recording his neighbor.. SMH
There's definitely a problem When law abiding citizens are reporting criminals and law enforcement ignores the criminals and tells the law abiding citizens they shouldn't be recording the criminals activity.
Law and order.. just because law abiding citizens are easier to deal with Because they will obey the officers
Doesn't Mean the Criminals should be ignored.
There needs to be a Medical documentary on target Individuals!
Medical proffesionals Neuro specialist EEGs and other Neuro testing to detect what's going on inside the targeted individual mind's.

Yes and I would add that a lot of people including myself were struck by the how much duress she was under in the video with the cops and how he was all smiles cuz it was all about him and that his narcissism shine through and his manipulation. I think she tried to break up with him when he killed her. What's amazing is that she was with him for 2 years and apparently didn't have a clue. And I would put that down to him hiding it well enough that she didn't until he got her out and I. I can't I come to the conclusion when they were still looking for her body that after that video with the cops that he waited till they got on that trip part way through the trip by the way and then decided to more or less spring the trap of and started being nasty to her started manipulating her to the point where she was she wasn't just upset she was distraught in that video it was hard to watch I felt so bad for her. It was also hard to watch that smiling jackass like it was all about him. I mean if he truly loved her her being upset that way should have upset him just as much he should have been crying in front of those cops. I know that's how I get get when I'm fighting with somebody I love an upset we upset each other. But he wasn't. So he got her out there and started in honor decided he was going to he was going to make her his little minion his little what do you call him he's going to break her in on the on the trip and I think may I think possibly his father he got that from his father and that he wanted Gabby to be like his dear old mom. I reckon it may be smattered with truth, if he wrote it. They could have argued and physically fought and in the course of that, Gabby fell and hit her head. Enough to be badly hurt and for Brian to be in trouble. He then may have killed her, possibly telling himself it was best for her and best for him in the circumstances. In his head that could easily turn in to Gabby falling due to "an accident" and the killing being for mercy. It'll be interesting to see the digital confession on a device they've said exists, which is apparently a different story from this. Maybe it is just a total lie.

This letter was just him trying to hide his cowardice. He was too afraid to face the consequences for his actions and killed himself. He even tried to play the martyr by saying he hoped animals would rips his body apart. If Gabby was begging to for him to end it then why was she afraid of the fire going out? In my opinion, they were arguing, Gabby was starting to get the courage to stand up to him, and possibly consider leaving him. I think Brian tried to kill her by hitting her in the head and when he failed he strangled her. If he loves her so much why would he leave her body out in the elements like that to be eaten on by animals? He knew where the car was, he knew what he was doing all alone, and if that family hadn’t been driving by and spotted he can he may have gotten away with it. In the end he made Gabby’s tragic death all about himself like every other narcissist on the planet. It is a tragedy that Gabby was murdered. I wish the police in Utah would’ve had better training to spot a victim of domestic violence and possibly spared all of this from happening. My prayers continue to go out to Gabby’s family, I can’t imagine going through the loss of a child.

The last page that was shared to the media where Brian talked about taking his life where animals hopefully would tear him apart, to make Gabbie’s family happy and then telling whomever found him to pick everything up, because, “Gabbie hated litter.” I feel like it was such a huge coded “F-You” to Gabbie and especially, to her family.
I’ve had a couple of exes’ in my life and unfortunately, my mother, who talk in this grandiose style. It’s similar to, “I’m going to hurt/kill myself if you leave.” It’s the, “Sorry to bother you!” When you ask for a boundary(my mom) to be respected or “I am your mother!”
Get out. Get out as fast as you can. It’s easy to fantasize about it getting better. If it’s a parent/ family…”but they are your family, your mother…” Save it. FAMILY can be the most toxic people around you. You have every right to protect your mental health.

Absolutely, protect yourself. The most shocking thing about those with various disorders is that they will destroy themselves and those around them in the process of trying to control, manipulate them. It wasn't until I found a thorough therapist and spent the time reviewing people and events, that I began to see the picture and learn about how to protect myself as best I can. The most shocking thing about some abusers / disordered people is their ability to appear saintly to those around them/you particularly, officials, those in positions of responsibility, who in turn due to biases (idealogical & other) support the abuser in their habits and behaviour and even turn against you. So people you trust to support you and family fairly and proportionally acutally become secret manipulators on behalf of the abuser.

I've only seen interviews from Gabby's family or his sister. Did he have any friends? I don't even know if he attended college or a trade school or ever held a job. I would also request that you analyze his parents, as there was some serious denial and or lying in the Laundrie household when he came back from the trip without her. I also wonder if his inability to take responsibility for his behavior was learned behavior from his parents who seem to take no responsibility for the hurt and pain they have caused Gabby's parents?

The thing I don't get is that if she wanted to "leave him" or "break up" with him, she never had to pick him up at the airport in SLC after his 2 week return to Florida. She stayed in a hotel, her father sent her money for meals? I mean, I wonder what conversation took place between Gabby and her parents at that time. Why couldn't she confide in them? and if she did, why didn't they come get her? I'm thinking he went back to Florida those two weeks maybe with no intention of returning, would be interesting to release the call logs and see who was calling who at that time, and with what frequency. Also wonder when his ticket to Florida was purchased, and if it was round trip, one way..... I've never seen these issues addressed in media reports.

There were several points to head this off and save Gabby`s life. However, ultimately Abby would have had to realize this herself ... just wish it had happened so differently. I feel Gabby had previously suffered some sort of abuse in her family life to make her susceptible to Brian's abuse. That was how it worked with me. This case really bothers me so much ... I guess because it was all right there in front of the public, more than once and her best friend knew what a schmuck he was as well. So so sad.

    - Weak, lazy attempts to win over a reader
    - Grandiose story with many plot-holes
    - The belief that charisma alone will make their words believable, despite their contradicting actions
    - No regard for the victim, no accountability, and no real apology
    - His feelings shadowing everyone else’s involved
    - Attempts to convince he was the noble, rational, and thoughtful one
    - Delusions over reality: his crumbling relationship; Gabby’s real feelings towards him; and his actions along with how they manifested
    - Finally, every single admission of guilt is always explained away as an attempt to do the right thing. Anything with ill-intent as motivation seems to always just be a misunderstanding.
…This note has all the key ingredients of narcissistic behavior and their last resort when confronted with their actions. Taking all his cheap manipulation tactics into consideration, this note might as well be viewed as the opposite of the truth. He might as well of just said, “I killed her. There was no reason to kill her. She didn’t want to die. She wasn’t injured. I never held or comforted her. She wasn’t getting along with me. I never tried to save her. I think she deserved her final outcome.”
Even though the public would’ve never bought this note anyway, I’m glad the JD defamation suit at least warmed people up to seeing through cheap manipulation. I’m like mine boggled about that I never heard about that in all the books I’ve read, or the advocacy trainings I’ve been in. Mind blown 🤯

i wonder if there is a seed of truth in his story. like, he PUSHED her in a fit of rage like what we heard in utah only escalated as abusers do, and in the dark she fell and got injured /incapacitated to some degree, and then he either still enraged or maybe in a panic strangled her to death thinking he could get away with it , whereas if she lived he didnt want to get arrested (faulty logic but narcs rarely seem to think about anything except their instant gratification)

I tend to agree. I think he hurt her in a fit of rage and the injuries were bad enough that she decided to leave him or bad enough to require medical attention and get him in trouble, or maybe both. Either way he couldn't abide her leaving him and/or getting into legal trouble over the injuries he caused. So he strangled her. He only thought of himself and his own wants in that moment, never thinking ahead about consequences like not getting away with it. Most people would do everything they could to save a loved one, even holding out hope past the point of reason... not decide killing them was the best option!

I think in addition to her not having the experience to see the warning signs it's also that abuse creeps in slowly. It's little things at first and often times happen early enough that's it's still while the relationship is exciting and many don't know what early abuse looks like so she may have brought something up and been told it was normal or that's just how guys are. I wish we as a society better understood and were able to spot abuse.

Narcissistic "victim" behavior. An awesome update and as usual clear analysis. Appreciate you - Dr. Grande.

I can't wait for the analysis of the letter from roberta laundry to Brian! There has been talking of it but has not been put out as yet. It is the care of the laundry attorney. It was addressed to Brian and was to be burned after reading......
So sad for Gabby and her family 😭😭

Your analysis, Dr. Grande as so many before me have said, is incredibly on point! Especially for those of us older perhaps with romantic relationship experiences with narcissistic partners or domestic abuse that cringed at the police cam in Moab as the signs of gas lighting, manipulation, and abuse projecting like yellow flashing construction signs on the road! Your ability to still tie in perhaps deserved humor towards Brian in how unbelievably his claims are while remaining compassionate to the matters at hand is admirable. Such tragedy like a Shakespearean tragedy or many British literary novels. Thank you for this one, and all of your analyses. Im a huge fan and love cacti too!

How can anyone make sense of this whole situation? Brian was a liar and an abuser and Gabby should not have been with him but she was. It's not okay for people to be as cynical as he was he had no right to act like he was better than everyone else. Thank you for your insight and your thoughts on this case!
