The *chilling* part is that much of what he described is probably what happened to her as he was *killing* her. The lump on her head, her shaking/convulsions (brain damage) uncontrollably, her crying out his name, her begging him (probably to NOT kill her instead of TO kill her), etc. He is describing the final moments of her life but trying to put a spin on them. It's horrible.

Yes. This is her last memoir documented by that sick fuck. I hate this for that beautiful bright soul. He stole a youth and a woman and a loved one and so much more she would have become. She had so much talent and kindness and would have gone far in life and she still touched the world even at such a young age. I think she is amazing. As a mom of a girl Gabby’s age I’m heartbroken for her family and friends. Her light shines on though. This I know will never make it easier but she really was a force to be reckoned with even just seen in videos from afar it comes through.

Him saying that he chose to end his own life out in the open so that animals would eat and destroy his body after is proof right there what his true train of thought really was in leaving gabby out there like he did.. he didn't do that because it happened outside, he wanted nature to cover it up. I admire how they’ve handled such a terrible situation and stayed united.
I think the lawsuit attempts are misguided- legally it seems to be a weak case and even if they won, I don’t think it will help them emotionally.
They lost their daughter to someone she trusted and they seemed to have well. BL’s parents staying silent doesn’t mean they knew the truth.
I believe Brian told his parents there was a terrible accident or she left him, etc. Why would he have told his family the truth? Most people try to protect how others- ESPECIALLY family- judge them.
I did a couple of dumb things in college and never told my parents because why disappoint or upset them?
I don’t think there is closure but I hope her family finds some peace.

This guy is crazy if he thinks we would all buy this mercy killing nonsense. Shame on the loser. When you love someone so much that you can't live without them, you have hope that they can be saved if injured, you certainly don't go around making it final by killing them.. especially when the 'injuries' are not described to be fatal whatsoever. This is unbelievably insane. The only thing that makes sense here with this letter, is for the purpose of his parents to have an easier time with the public after he's gone. I just can't think of anything else. May the law suit against the dirty laundries be successful. Shame on them all !! This story makes exactly zero sense. Brian was a coward and his parents are no different.

    • @butterfly652
      @butterfly652 2 роки тому +1

His parents failed to raise decent son, then they failed to teach him how to be safe and loyal partner, then they failed to bring justice back to another family who is grieving because simply they didn't their job right as parents and indirectly they caused Gabby's death. And if you tell them why did you that? I'm sure they will say we were trying to protect our son out of something stupid he did it in one minute of stupidity. We were doing our job as parents that could make him lose his entire life. So they will call the injustice and the crime their son did by ending Gabby's life as a minute of stupidity, and their job is hiding him to create a bigger monster out of him.
And when you see how his parents acted during the entire situation you will understand why their narcissist son ended up being killer in life then being coward enough to make suicide.

In his confession, Brian portrays himself as a hero who tried everything to save Gabby but ended up having to kill her to put her out of her pain. However, according to his own words, he didn't even know how bad her injuries were! Also, he was very outdoorsy, he certainly had a flashlight or something similar with him. The two of them were constantly filming, so they must have had their smartphones with them. The reception there seems to be good, so he could have called for help. His story is not credible. He left her outside where he killed her thinking nature will do her very best to destroy every evidence. I think he freaked out in an argument and killed Gabby.
If you kill yourself to avoid punishment, you can at least tell the truth in your confession! Gabby's family deserved to know the truth!

As someone who has done a ton of hiking and quite a lot of camping, two things stand out to me that I haven’t heard anybody comment about yet. First, crossing the creek as it was starting to get dark. I saw footage of Brian Entin (sp) crossing the creek. It is very broad and shallow and seems to have a lot of small rocks. It is probably really easy to cross during daylight when you have full vision, but rocks in the water can be extremely slippery especially if they have any algae or other organic matter on them. So it does not make any sense to me that doting fiancé Brian would not know where Gabby was in relation to him as they crossed the creek in the dark.I am a strong active person, but my husband would be right there with me and we would probably be holding hands for each other’s safety. Another thing that makes no sense is the fire. They are out in the woods at night and it is pitch dark and she does not want him to leave her, yet he leaves her to get dry wood to burn as well as kindling, he also just happened to have matches or a lighter on him. It would not be easy to find wood and start a fire in the dark. It would probably take 15 or 20 minutes, and it would take him away from her. If he’s going to do that, why not just go back to the van and call for help or retrieve blankets to warm her? Just doesn’t make sense

Har har! I also think JB isnt very much with Humour, it knocks his confidence when humour assaults him, he looks like a deer caught in the headlights, stunned momentarily then ignores giving a witty & humourous reply!
Brian Entin is a superior beast entirely!
I think his background & personality has been a good one, great family values & parent's who supported him & instilled qualities that we see in him today
Brian Entin is going to go Far
He will be a long term solid guy who DOES HIS JOB!
With honesty, gives all he can,
      Won't compromise his integrity &
      What he believes in.
Also hes easy listening, & super cute too, you want to give him a cuddle & feed hot soup on his vigils & guys want to bear hug him & slap his back & share a beer with this man
So ive done my PR stint for
      FANFARE... Brian Entin
Hed make a great President but hed lose all his soul & humanity
Take care you guys, stay true to yourselves & try & do something nice for someone each day even if its a genuine smile & a cup of coffee, it raises your own worth 100%

When BL came home with Gabby's van, with Gabby's credit/debit card(s), which he had used after he killed her, and without Gabby, his parents covered everything up and became his accomplices. Just as anyone who helped coverup any other crime would be criminally culpable, they helped hide a body, drove the getaway car, lied to the police, whatever, the L's should be charged on that basis. Did they have the Right against self-incrimination at that point? Of course. I'm not faulting them for lawyering up and remaining silent, but I'm saying, now that the dust has settled and we know what we know, they need to be held criminally liable for helping their son by covering up his crime(s).

    • @Heidi_137
      @Heidi_137 2 роки тому +6

They bought time while BL was 'missing' - there was a report that they liquidated their assets (and other income property, closed their business...) and probably stashed the money where it can't be found. They were preparing to escape incase of charges from the police or pay money toward civil suit lost. The BL mother seems to be the kind that her son never does anything wrong and would do anything to protect her murderer son.

One thing I wanna point out is that the note book is intact meaning even if the words were written by Brian and they have analysed it, they should be able to recover the words that are not legible and the words that were scribbled out. Also I think about the papers found around the area and think Brian possibly wrote a lot more but tore the pages out and naturally thoes papers were exposed to the weather. The intention to put the notebook and what ever else in a waterproof bag is self preservation. It’s very possible the parents knew everything as they went directly to the area where he was hiding where as the authorities couldn’t find Brian. All of this is just so traumatising for gabbys family. Brian’s confession was written in different ink. It’s obviously not all written at the same time. Also the letter didn’t really say goodbye to his family which you would have thought would be included. The reason why it’s not included is because he was trying to say in the letter to not hurt or harass his family. Hmmmmmm. The reason for gabbys murder just doesn’t add up. Nope. Again he lied. Once I knew he’d flown home to supposedly empty a storage unit, I was like seriously? Who spends all that money to fly home for that. That was bizarre to me. Whether anything about storage was true or not, I believe he went home to set up things he needed to pre-planning of her murder. I don’t even believe it was heat of the moment. I hate the whole ‘crimes of passion’ bs.
Even in death he’s totally full of it. She deserved better and he knew it.
What I believe happened he prob hit her head from behind and when down he strangled her. There’s possibly elements he through in that writing to be part of it but then again, you can’t explain the prep work done before she was even dead and after. That would only make sense if he killed himself soon after she died same location.
I’m not even entertaining this nonsense.
From what we’ve learned he had no empathy, and was a control freak. No surprise they were a big distance to any people and feel that was him choosing to kill her out there. He was a disgusting, rabid animal. The only thing that totally shocked me, that he went through with taking his own life. The only reason for him to make up a story is likely to cover his family because he knew, the parents had to have known at least something enough about it all for him to write that bs. So sick of these crazy people out in news stories

This is me speculating, I think that they probably had a heated argument, and things got very scary for her, it would not be the first time he would hurt her, so she tried to run away, he followed and thats how she or “he” injured her head (supposedly when he found her her head was injured and it swelled up really fast). He takes her back to camp, and now he is scared that she is so injured and they just had that run in with police, and thats when he kills her. In my inexperienced skullduggery, I think:
He was into horrible books. That's where he lived creatively. He was a chameleon, obvious in his talking with the police.
He had self image problems. Wonder what his school & medical records would disclose?
That Brian & Gabby both lived with his parents, leads me to believe the family was dysfunctional. I saw bruises on Gabby in a few of the photos &/or video clips on news casts in August 2021.
It's clear in both Gabby's & his words he controlled & manipulated her - both of them saying he disputed her attempts to use technology; & he'd said to her & the police that she couldn't be a success as a social media star. I wonder how many times she heard that, when he tried to demean & control her sociability. Brian was insanely jealous of Gabby's beauty & popularity.
I think Gabby eventually said something that triggered Brian one too many times. Enraged, he did major harm hitting her with something hard; then completed the brutal murder by strangling her.
I believe they played out aspects of their star-crossed relationship by immersing themselves in the plots & characters of the darkly violent books Brian read, & tried to coerce Gabby to read; as they both openly stated to the police.
What stumps me is the crisscrossing the country twice in Gabby's van, without her. What did investigative work reveal? During his first solo trip, was Gabby in a motel? Receipts, witnesses, where? Or was she already dead?
She was terrified at the thought of him leaving her. This was revealed in the investigation, by witnesses. She also got a little frantic at the thought of them being separated on the traffic stop video. Brian had her self-esteem in the toilet.
    Mercy killing?!? BAH!!

I just watched the police stop video again, and something struck me. What Brian does (and also did in his notebook) is that he admits to forgivable things.. "sorry I hit the curb, sorry I was going too fast.. blah blah" He makes himself so "truthful" by apologizing for little things that the police missed the point that he was a danger to Gabbie.
In the note, he does the same thing.. "I'm sorry that I didn't light the fire first, I'm sorry that I ended her suffering, blah blah" but he forgets to mention that she was dying because he had just strangled her and she was gasping for air.. That she fell into the creek because she was trying to run away from him.
But he's sorry and he hopes the animals eat his body so that the Petito's can be happy.
Come to think of it, it is EXACTLY what Roberta and Chris are doing as well. It is 'understandable' that they want to protect their son by not speaking.. but the bigger picture, that they left the Petitos in the dark, knew exactly where Brian's body was, sent a note through their attorney saying that they hoped the Petitos find their daughter knowing full well she was dead.. that, they ignore.
Confess to the smaller crimes and you can get away with murder.

My thoughts he thought he could get away with it but when he saw things were going south he decided to head to the reserve. Brian returns home to Florida Sept 1, Sept 6 & 7 went camping at Fort DeSoto. his parents says Brian L left for a hike on Sept 17 so he was with his family 17 days before going into the reserve.

The first page could be written by BL having the use of the word “van” where in the rest of the note pages use the word “car”..plus the spelling is different.... two different authors!!

I really doubt it since her case is considered *closed* - (not to say they cant charge later) but, it usually happens when a case is open and, we would not have even gotten a fraction of this information AT ALL if they thought about using it to charge someone.
(They sure DESERVE to be charged though) 😒

The disparity in looks was an early tell. He’d managed to control her through manipulating her insecurities, but he knew the clock was winding down on their relationship.
