My grandmother of blessed memory was lucky enough to meet the real Groucho in her younger years. When I was a kid my family took her to Universal while she was still mobile. She had Alzheimer's and thus her grip on reality was a bit skewed. I will never forget the look on her face when we encountered Groucho, since she didn't realize he was a cast member. She told him he hadn't aged a day! I don't remember his response but I'm sure it was hilarious!
Groucho did not work for Universal so your grandmother must of met an imposter. It may have been someone she thought was Groucho. Unless he just happened to be there that day for some reason.
@@aaronroffman3987 I wasn't aware that we had a "Universal Studios" in New York City. Perhaps you should relabel said subject matter. Your description is a tad bit confusing. "Universal" and "cast member" subject matter not made clearly enough. But I did enjoy seeing the video either way.
I am SO BUMMED that universal hollywood dumped Groucho. I was gonna drive all the way down there just to see him and only him. Thus, I'm never going to go there! Saves me the trip, at least. :-(

The movies are distributed by Universal.
Than MGM
Paramount's back log of films was brought by Universal!
MGM still owns their own films but Paramount was brought by Universal. The Marx Brothers early films were made at Paramount than at MGM.
