  • New artist to the channel! I actually did a reaction to these guys but had technical difficulties. I actually did NOT like the first song but decided to give them a second chance. Was it worth it?

I agree with @silversoulfly that watching the live performance of Dethrone will show a whole different side of Noah's voice and drumming.

Their live performance of Dethrone is pretty much a master class in metal drumming. Love the reaction.

Literally any Bad Omens would be great to see you react to.
If you want another band suggestion, Sleep Token is amazing. Their drummer did an interview on Drumeo and said some of his inspiration was gospel drummers. Keep up the great reactions! 😊

It’s fun watching reactors like yourself go through the various and wildly different parts of metal. Especially those that don’t sound like they belong in the genre to begin with.
I’m still waiting for a Kim Dracula reaction. 👀 Your mind will be blown.
Kim Dracula - Seventy Thorn (ft. Jonathan Davis) is a great intro to some serious new talent.

Dethrone is all heavy if that's what you want!

There are fairly good videos of them live, and Noah is much more energized in them. I'm a new fan of theirs, and am loving the entire Death of Peace of Mind album. You should do the whole album. I've had it on repeat for about a month now (outside of watching Falling in Reverse's new song and community reactions).

They really pushed the ideas of what can be encompassed in "metalcore" with this album. There is only one song (Artifical Suicide) that is "traditional metalcore," whatever that might mean, probably the most consistently hard song on the album. It's a fun track. The others go back and forth between the really vibey, atmospheric melodies and bursts of grit and screams. Concrete Jungle, the opening track of the album, sets a good tone for the project. Bad Decisions you might enjoy for the lyrical breakdown, and what it gives you to talk about there. It is kind of a low-fi track, though, again, not as much dynamism as others on the album. Honestly, the whole album is pretty great, and it flows well, but it is a lot of vibes. There is a little bit of repetition across the album, and a lot of folks wanted it to be harder and heavier, like some of their earlier stuff, but it also won them a lot of new fans. (Some who became obsessive on IG, actually, and the singer had to basically ask his fans to stop stalking him).

Bad Omens is the band for me that I never heard of and became a band I can't stop listening to. Personally think you should do "Like A Villain". Lyrically it is part 2 to this song. This song is about an abusive relationship from the point of view of the victim that can't give up on their abuser. Like A Villain is from the point of view of the abuser who essentially blames his victim for their behavior. That will get you ready for Artificial Suicide and Dethrone which are heavy AF! Welcome to the Bad Omens rabbit hole!

I never listened to this band before. Hated the video, but when I stopped watching that and just listened to the song itself, I found that I really liked it. Not a playlist group yet, but I would like to hear more of what they can do.

They have a nice mix of songs throughout their 2 newest albums, so I'm sure you'll find a few tracks here and there that scratch the itch

Subscribed for more metalcore. I highly recommend checking out Architects. Black Lungs is a great starting point, as is Doomsday.

This album is very experimental, everything between R'n'B and heavy songs. I've seen that you like heavier music, their songs "Artificial Suicide" and "Dethrone" are heavy songs, and songs like "Nowhere To Go", "Concrete Jungle" or "Mercy" are on the heavy side too. Glad you gave them a second chance, I am not a big fan of Just Pretend too. I like it, but don't love it. Thanks for your breakdown of that part of the song, it was interesting.
