You will be even more impressed when you watch the explanation video by a Korean on DKDKTV to understand the wordplay and double entendres they used in songs like UGH and Ddaeng. You will be impressed.
That 'random ' line by Suga 'Go to Hawaii' was actually the point of this because it was clapping back at rapper B Free who insulted them by saying they had sold out hop hop by joining an idol group. B Free came form Hawaii so he was telling him to Go Home!
I’m a 2016/2017 ARMY and I didn’t know this. I knew the B Free beef, but not that the “Go to Hawaii” was a shot at him bc of where he’s from. Niiiiiiiice
Side note: BTS are brand ambassadors for Samsung, and they had a special edition Galaxy phone. But also Suga produced a version of their "Over the Horizon" ringtone, which I'm sure all ARMYs have as their default.
Cypher 2 focused more on RM and Suga because it was a diss to a rapper who disrespected the 2 of them at some podcast show saying they were no longer rappers but girls because they used make up (stage make up) and mocked suga’s name by calling him sugar. Actually Suga’s line “go to Hawaii, go home” is a straight hit to him because the guy is from Hawaii. He also responds to that guy in his track Agust D by Agust D. Usually the boys don’t diss anybody in specific but this one time I’m glad they did. I must add said “rapper” ended up apologizing to them after 🤷🏻♀️😂
Suga doing that fast part live is so much fun to watch. In his solo song "Agust D", there's also one part where he raps very fast, and the live version of that one is iconic. But they're all equally talented. They shine in different songs. In "Outro: Tear", J-hope's closing verse is so breathtaking and emotional, while RM's verse in "Ddaeng" is just incredible, in flow and in wordplay. They have so many good songs.
When you listen to their song Hip Hop Phile/Lover, you will see by who they pay homage to that BTS' rappers are true students of hip hop and know their stuff, especially RM. "Idol" rappers are looked down on by the korean hip hop community because most idol rappers are trained to be rappers and don't have the knowledge of hip hop history, OG artists, etc. At the start of their career BTS' rappers were dissed by some members of the underground rap community and this Cypher is a direct response to that. They are now highly respected by k-hip hop artists. They also write their own raps and produce their own music as well. Many idol rappers don't write their own raps, probably the group most well known for not writing their own raps is BP. If you're interested in checking out korean hip hop groups, I would highly recommend Epik High. RM, SUGA, and J-Hope were all inspired by them when they were young.
The sudden drop in Suga's rap "go back to Hawaii" is the "main" reason for cyphers 1 and 2 - they are diss tract toward especially one individual who should have listened.. õ.Ö Also there is a clip where Suga does his fast part after that even faster than in her,e in certain radio interview, host just asked him - something like (apparently not being nasty) "hey aren't you known rapping fast, could you do it faster?" And he takes a breath and just kills everything (if the host was being nasty, he was first in the close range so he's not being nasty to anybody anymore!). Suga is incredible and he can kill me anytime - sadly he's taken that promise literally, today only, I have been dead - because he's so awesome - at least 9 times and the time is only half an hour past midnight!!
Once you completed the cyphers 3 and 4, you for sure need to watch the live when they perform all of them. It's such a different experience then watching the lyric videos it's 🔥 their energy is out of this world when they perform these songs
Bts rapline is one of the top in the kpop rap game and the funny thing is they never name drop on diss tracks.. but (in suga's words) 'they always fall in the tray even after so many times' 🤣
Here's the thing when discussing the fact that Korean was made for rap. A one word modifier in Korean can make a sentence have multiple meanings, instant doubles and triples. RM will use one word modifiers better than anyone.
the fact that rm can rap SO GOOD in Korean and English (and Japanese) is INSANE. also he raps en español en la presentación en vivo de chicken noodle soup (originalmente es una canción de jhope ft becky g)
The first time I heard this cypher... my jaws were dropping at every verse! RM made me get up, and when Suga began to spit his verses... I was screaming!! Well, I'm 66 yo and I felt like a teenager 😅😊
You guys are right. The syllables is Korean are much more broken down. For example in English the word Cheese is one short syllable but in Korean it’s two pronounced Chi-jeu. So I feel like mixing the two languages they definitely have more creative advantage when it comes to rhyming and overall sound of the rap.
You are right about the Korean words having hard cuts. The Rose ( a KRock band) once said in an interview that when they are writing, they use more English gibberish because English isn't as choppy/ hard cuts as Korean.
Before we had our 7 members of BTS there was a different line up for the group. They were originally going to be a strictly hip-hop group, and aside from RM and Suga there were other underground rappers involved. Supreme Boi was one of the original members, but when the CEO of the label decided to do more of an idol group Supreme Boi and other members left, eventually forming a collective known as Rock Bottom. Though Supreme Boi also stayed with the company as an in-house producer, and he is also featured in a couple of songs.
Finally, I think, you are slowly beginning to have some appreciation for the BTS Rappers who are dope. You are right that the thought processes are more than what is on the surface. Respectfully, letting you know, that you are are still missing the point, It would be really great if you can understand that anything BTS do, be it their rap, songs, dance, styling, music production, music videos, live performances and staging, they are always thoughtful and filled with very deep meaning. They do not add or use a swear word just for the sake of useless rhyming. They string their bars with deep meaning, so please pay attention to their lyrics and words, then observe how the beat and flow is structured to give the bars the right impact. RM deserves respect for being a very deep thinker and a genius at word play. Suga is a genius in lyrics and music production (check out the production he did for PSY called "That That" and IU's "Eight"). You will see the pure talent these guys have and why their work are masterpieces. You have just barely scratched the surface, the Vocal Line of BTS is phenomenal. It would be good if you can quickly check out the Taylor Mari"s guide and the Rice Squad's documentary on them in The Most Beautiful Life Goes On, to at least get to know them better.
Supreme boi was supposed to be in BTS but he became a bts producer suga was going to be a producer after he found out the hiphop rap group was going to be a kpop group but the company convinced him to be in bts saying he can write whatever he wants (most kpop groups do no write or have a say
Hey guys! Older Army here, I love how you're constantly thinking in terms of writing rap lyrics in Spanish and polishing verses. If you're interested in going further, introduce yourself to Hybe and make your services available. Who knows what might happen in the future? You definitely have a fine niche as rappers who can collaborate on rap verses or words in Spanish. It would be amazing to see the BTS rap line produce raps in Korean and Spanish, also!! Good luck!! I wish you all well in your career!! Great reaction, too!! 💜💜💜
The part that always gets me on this track is that after Suga's long quick part at 9:58, he says something that is written in romanized lyrics as "akkyeo sseugo" which means "you save up" in Korean but it also kinda sounds like "i can still go" in English which is crazy to say after that sprint of a rap.
The structure of the Korean language lends itself to stronger raps because of the way words end. For example many verbs end in a vowel sounds, which makes for a tighter rhyme.

Jhope has his own way of rap, he is the sassy one, the savage, and he raps in a way you feel like he is humiliating that hater so hard, and making fun of him, that's why he is the most important one in any song they make, he puts a different vibe, like a cherry on top,he's my fav
I’m happy to check out your dive into BTS rap line. Also check out their debut , it’s the whole group but it’s hip hop as that’s how they were first introduced as a hip hop group. Even Jungkook rapped. “No More Dreams” they were kids still, Jungkook was only 15 when they released that song.
@@2Real_TV it’s funny to see , they’re so young, they are like budget video and clothes being that their small co really didn’t have any means and they were banking on BTS. But you see they were hungry, they were really working to make it. If you see their back story, you’ll understand and the respect just climbs higher. I think to this day Jungkook doesn’t want to watch their old stuff 😅 They’re human, we all cringe sometimes when we see pics of our past selves 😂
Can’t wait to here you watch cyoher part 3 I think it’s the best one but live is so good they did it at there Busan concert there last concert together oct 2022
i really enjoyed this reaction, thank you💜 You will also enjoy thier track - Hip Hop Lover, it's thier group song. This song is kinda like a tribute to their hip-hop muses, if i can say so💜
i'm also looking forward to your reaction to Taylor's guide to Bangtan. It would be great if you watched it < 3 BTS is very unique group, i truly believe that you'll never find someone like them
Hi Guys, I enjoy your reactions🙌 Can´t wait for Cypher Pt. 3, is my favorite. Also UGH, Outro: Tear (Live, The last verse is amazing), RM Intro: Persona, Agust D Agust D, Jhope More and Arzon, Born Singer, Hip Hop Phile, no no no they have a lot of very good Songs. And finally, please check out: XG Galz Xiper (Cocona, Maya, Harvey, Jurin), these girls are amazing, you gonna enjoy it.
Fun fact about that Lil Wayne lyric & the way u would change. BTS have been the face of Samsung (specifically Galaxy) since 2020 but not just phones but even the new The Freestyle 2nd gen projector.
Supreme Boi is a rapper who came around about the same time they did was in another group for a bit, but he became a producer really young. He produced a ton of BTS stuff.

Jhope has his own way of rap, he is the sassy one, the savage, and he raps in a way you feel like he is humiliating that hater so hard, and making fun of him, that's why he is the most important one in any song they make, he puts a different vibe, like a cherry on top,he's my fav
Killer cypher 3🎉🎉🎉🎉
Deberían reaccionar a los cypher en vivo... son adictivos 🔥🔥🔥 y de ésto no hay vuelta atrás 😎💜
yesss
Cypher 2 es toda una locura
I’m happy to check out your dive into BTS rap line. Also check out their debut , it’s the whole group but it’s hip hop as that’s how they were first introduced as a hip hop group. Even Jungkook rapped. “No More Dreams” they were kids still, Jungkook was only 15 when they released that song.
Ohh we gotta see that 💯💯
@@2Real_TV it’s funny to see , they’re so young, they are like budget video and clothes being that their small co really didn’t have any means and they were banking on BTS. But you see they were hungry, they were really working to make it. If you see their back story, you’ll understand and the respect just climbs higher.
I think to this day Jungkook doesn’t want to watch their old stuff 😅 They’re human, we all cringe sometimes when we see pics of our past selves 😂
Can’t wait to here you watch cyoher part 3 I think it’s the best one but live is so good they did it at there Busan concert there last concert together oct 2022
suga's tongue technology is INSANE
i really enjoyed this reaction, thank you💜 You will also enjoy thier track - Hip Hop Lover, it's thier group song. This song is kinda like a tribute to their hip-hop muses, if i can say so💜
i'm also looking forward to your reaction to Taylor's guide to Bangtan. It would be great if you watched it < 3 BTS is very unique group, i truly believe that you'll never find someone like them
Samsung is a South korean company, and Samsung 삼성" means "Three" stars " ⭐️⭐️⭐️

No one can run from BTS's charm
Korean language is so lyrical
WE LOVE ONLY BTS
Hi Guys, I enjoy your reactions🙌
Can´t wait for Cypher Pt.
Oml cant WAITT until pt 3
Fun fact about that Lil Wayne lyric & the way u would change. BTS have been the face of Samsung (specifically Galaxy) since 2020 but not just phones but even the new The Freestyle 2nd gen projector.
See that would have been perfect!!!
@2Real_TV many ARMY around the world use Samsung phones, watches, & ear buds thanks to BTS
They are literal legends
Pozole 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Woulda been perfect 😂🤣🤣
Next ddaeng and ugh by BTS rapline
i can't wait to you guys seeing a live performance of the cyphers
Am still here cackling at the "POZOLE" 🤣🤣🤣 It was SOOOOO funny!! 😭😭😭 Made me hungry too 😭
Esperando por la parte de Yoongi en cypher 3 ❤️🔥❤️🔥

Supreme Boi is a rapper who came around about the same time they did was in another group for a bit, but he became a producer really young. He produced a ton of BTS stuff.
Cypher pt 2 is my personal favorite. Thanks for giving it some love
