Thanks for the fine video, Eric. A question and a comment. Question: Have you ever tried a Dorsey yarn indicator? Comment: If there's wind, but not too much, I find that I can use it to my advantage when Euro nymphing. Basically, the wind creates a bow in my sighter. The bow makes it relatively easy to register strikes because it straightens out when a fish eats my fly.
Hi Alex. I have tried the Dorsey’s and have a bunch in my vest. I have found that I like adjusting the New Zealand indicators better than the Dorsey. I also feel like the New Zealand is more sensitive for me than the Dorsey. It’s honestly very similar, just personal preference. If it works for you, then keep doing it! Thanks for watching.
@ I’ve fooled with it some and caught some fish with it. Haven’t mastered it yet. Was talking to Josh Miller about it recently at a show. Also plan on fishing comp legal dry dropper a lot more in the future so that I have that in my arsenal when I do another one. I’ve done that a good bit and it’s a really fun way to fish as well, just need to put in more time with it too.
Thanks, was good!
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching.

Don’t forget you can float the sighter too!
Very true! The flies I was fishing were a little heavy for that method but it's a great idea as well. Thanks for watching.
I encourage you to try fishing lighter bugs on lighter tippets and floating the sighter. Once mastered it’s deadly.
Keep up the fun fishing
