She's like that one person in chat rooms who makes a big production about leaving, then sticks around to see how upset people are about it.
The "Flounce."
Most losers do that more than once before they get laughed out for good.
Uhahahaha 👍
“No… Marin… don’t go… 😢”
@@frankrosemeck9898Flounce? First time I’ve heard that one lol
😂 omg.. I remember those kind of people in mIRC chat rooms. Rage quitters but never ever left on their own, as they always getting booted and banned for life by moderators. 😂
Maren really expected people to support her for viciously attacking Brittany, yet people unanimously stood by Brittany, which seemingly infuriated Maren.
For a moment, I thought you meant Brittney Spears....
So your saying she rage quit country music.
She is absolutely the person who makes a big production about leaving in a social media group and then doesn't leave when people don't get upset about her vocalizing that she's going to leave.
Like all the 'stars' that were going to Canada if Trump got elected. They didn't.
"I'm leaving now. I'm leaving NOW! I'M LEAVING NOW!!!! ANYONE?"
@@straussronald7 it wasn't just stars that said that shit. So many common liberals did. My mother in law was one of them.
I said "no you're not. You're broke and always borrowing money off your kids and other countries are harder to immigrate to than the USA. You can't just show up over there and expect to stay. Secondly, WHY CANADA AND NOT MEXICO? Mexico has tropical beaches. Are you racist or something?" (Mind you, this woman has said "out of everyone in this family, I'm the only one that's truly not racist" because we've all made race jokes about all races including whites. Also I supported trump therefore I am actually racist (even though I have more mixed ancestry than she does. Native, African, etc) and a "fucking dumbass" and my husband should divorce me.
You posted this like five times under alt accounts
My question is this: When has Country Music ever been truly racist? Darius Rucker, Niel McCoy, Charlie Pride, all beloved black country music singers that are worshipped by the genre's masses from numerous generations throughout their careers and after. And honestly, Jason Aldean's song wouldn't even be controversial had it came out in pre 2019. What this essentially shows is that if your beliefs and morals don't align with another's, your labeled a bigot, and only hinders true acts of bigotry when they do happen.
I instantly thought of Darius and Neal's songs, but it's been so long since I heard Charlie I had to look one up.
country music was started by black people is most of the popular country singers are white Jason Aldean's song is ass everything about is sucks he can not sing.
Charley Pride had to keep telling audiences, that, "Yes, I am a N---.
@@visaman Only because he felt that distinction made him safer.
Neal McCoy. As in the shake? He's black 😂 how tf did I not know this.
As a die-hard country music fan, I’m proud to say this is the first time I ever heard of Maren Morris and have never heard any of her songs. She doesnt belong in the world of country music
I’m sure you’ve heard of a couple songs. All this “who are you, again?” stuff is a little silly for anyone who listens to newer country. My Church, The Bones, I Could Use a Love Song, To Hell & Back, Rich, All My Favorite People; a few of her hits. Unless you don’t seek out new music ever, it’s hard to miss her.
@@Jeff_the_ApocalypticGameCatwe don't listen to wannabe country 😆
@@christaljohnson9871 lol Well that’s good. I don’t turn the radio on these days, but I almost exclusively listen to country (old and new) on Pandora. UA-cam’s where you’ll find the best small time artists, though. Western AF (hate the name) is a great discovery channel.
She's a Shania/Carrie wanna be anyways. Should be in pop categories, not country. I stopped listening to country when her style of the genre became the most popular on the radio. Rock/country has deep roots, but pop country should be left alone unless you're Shania LOL.
Or any type of music, sounds like she's sucking up to the left to get views.
She was never a country artist. She's a pop artist with a twang. The fact that she was in country at all is baffling
Country music with rap or rock, isn’t real country music. It’s garbage. Music like Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks(long before he became woke), Conway Twitty, Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn sung real music. Not today’s garbage.
@@Southernguy39Garth Brooks is woke now?😭
Never heard of her but kelsie ballerini is also not country. I heard her first song and knew it was shit and not country.
@@Da1RayesGarth brooks has been woke since the 90's when he grew long hair and put out a progressive rock album because he was always hiding
To me, all country music from the last decade is just pop/hip-hop with a southern accent. I'll stick to my obscure foreign metal bands and occasional Johnny Cash.
"Music is for the oppressed." - Maren Morris
"Music is the closest thing we have to magic." - Lzzy Hale (of the band Halestorm)
I think Lzzy has the better take on this.
nah
Music is for everyone.
Check out Lizzy Hale's live performance with Eric Church in his song That's damn rock n roll. She impressed the country audience.
@@TeenageDirtbag8 ok 😂🤣😅 you've been proven wrong every time you comment...
@leadsin99er she did a song called take me to church with Eric church too.
And a song called out in the rain with a newer country artist.
It’s crazy how “Try That In A Small Town” is supposedly so bad when all he is saying is don’t mess with small towns because we lookout for eachother.
So she's throwing a temper tantrum and threatening to leave because things weren't going her way. Sounds about like a 5 year old that nobody's ever heard of.
Has this lady met Dolly Parton? That woman is a legend, and she reaches out to fan on both sides of the political aisle. She is a classy, sophisticated lady in a wonderful marriage with a supportive husband and a legendary career. And Dolly Parton came onto the scene when women were actually fighting for equal pay and opportunities in the workplace. We have that now in Western countries.
Perfectly said.
Perfect example!
Dolly’s music has been featured in several movies including Whitney Houston’s the bodyguard where Whitney sang I will always love you. Dolly created the song in 1973.
The lady owns an entire city too with an amusement park, it’s pretty nice
Its easier to crap on everything and everyone and do nothing than it is to be a good example of how to live. Hence the world is full of Maren Morris’ and there is one Dolly Parton.
“Music is an agreeable harmony for the honor of God and the permissible delights of the soul.”
― Johann Sebastian Bach
I'm going to go with Bach on this one.
I like most genres of music, and can’t think of anyone who does music better than Bach, he’s just the best.
You guys watch any @RickBeato ? I think you might enjoy his takes on music composition.
My relatives were well known country. They were old fashion and loving. Their songs proved it. Some things should not be changed.
I'm a lifelong country music fan but I literally would not know a Maren Morris song if it slapped me in the face.
cool
One of her more popular songs is "the bones". Came out a few years back. It was on mainstream popular country music stations for awhile.
Same here. Imma stick with Patsy Cline and Alan Jackson and the like
I like 90s country and older. I do find some good newer songs with the same vibe, but I honestly have no idea who she is either.
Exactly. She would only be known by singing Zedd's The Middle 🫤
Maren has to make herself relevant by claiming country music is racist, homophobic, and misogynistic! She couldn’t handle playing in the big leagues so no love loss!
it is racist, sexist , transphobic and homophobic that's why you like it
A lot of these females singers don't seem legit to me.
Maybe if she actually sang songs that resonated and are relevant to where most people are in this moment, people might care. Instead she virtue signals to people who would never listen to her music in the first place. I miss the days when nobody really talked about politics, problem is things have gotten so terrible it’s almost impossible not to.
Who?
She kinda sucks. I saw her when she played at Stagecoach some years back. She wasn't very good and she wasn't very country. She also, if I remember correctly, was fairly vocal about hating on bro country. Now, bro-country isn't entirely my thing, but hating on them for singing about beer, trucks, dirt roads, a body of water, and girls in tight or cutoff jeans is plain stupid. Country music has always referenced drinking as far as I can remember. Country people tend to drive trucks and have experience with dirt roads. I'd say most people head to the water in the warmer months. I live in Southern California, and every weekend, people head to the beach or the river. Now, girls in tight or cutoff jeans, that was just the popular thing at the time of bro country's heyday. Girls wore tight jeans, and so did some guys. It was the skinny jeans era. Cutoffs have always been a thing off and on as far as I know. Let the boys sing about birddoggin women whilst drinking in the backwoods. It's got to be better than rioting in the streets.
Thank you for introducing me to the crowded table song. It's always sweet when I hear you aspiring to a family and children. I'm not exactly doing what most women are these days but I can say I'm much happier than most women: married at 22, 3 kids before age 28. Nothing better than a whole, happy family.
Thank you for making a video about this! I don’t know why people feel the need to be so hateful to others. You are a true voice of reason.
nah
Yep she is indeed Liz
The moment someone tries to tell you what music is 'supposed' to be, you know they have an agenda and that music is just the medium they're using to push it. Music can be a million things to a million people. And even an individual piece gets interpreted differently every time someone listens to it. Not everyone who listens to Taylor Swift gives a shit about her love life, for example.
Ironic that people like her will say that music & art in general can't be creatively limited. She acts like a fascist. A music fascist.
Every music record label executive is left leaning. Even in "Country" Music. They all come from the same cultural mold. That's why you hear country songs that sound all the same, because musically, they are. Every country song pushed by the mainstream is a 4 chord pop song with different instrumentation. That's it.
Well said
It's not about the art to a lot of people. To them it's just a platform

The greatest thing Trump did was unequivocally demonstrate that the government considers the people to be their servants not the other way around and that the great majority of the media and academia supports this in a media-government-academy complex. Now anyone who is not totally oblivious has to choose between accepting being a subject or challenging and reining in government.
Just imagine that a certain genre of music isn’t for you. You don’t connect with it, it probably wasn’t made with people like you in mind, you’d leave it alone and go listen to something you enjoy instead. Because you’re a sane human being.
Not this woman.
If something isn’t made directly for her and people exactly like her, it has no right to exist in this world. Apparently.
Most people realise they’re not the main character way earlier in life, but sadly, some - like her - never do
Wow, I have commented before when I agree with you. This time, it is different.. You are agreeing with me! Since 1972, I have been quoting my father, who gave me the best definition of music:
"The transfer of an idea or thought from one person to another is called Communication.
The transfer of emotions, feelings, and one's very on spirit is called Music."
No we're just proud to be American and live by morals and values. Just because we don't agree with the mainstream bs doesn't mean we're bad people.

“Music is supposed to be the voice of the oppressed”

This actually kinda showed her hand
That final point on biting the hand that fed you is so crucial. You can leave a place/industry/etc. with grace and humility, not mouthing off as you exit. I’m a pastor who got burned from a previous church but tried to not say anything about the issues that were forming to anyone else there. It did hurt when my wife and I left, and we weren’t as careful about respecting that church once we moved on, but we’ve come to our senses and I’ve been able to reestablish some contact with people at that old church. They helped form me as a pastor, and I want to recognize that rather than insult them to people who will likely never meet them.
I turned to Country music when Disco took over Rock music. My love for Country goes back to the 80s and 90s. Country turned pretty bad in the early part of the 2000s. It wasn't until a few years ago that I heard anything "Country" that didn't make me want to take an icepick to my eardrums.
I've heard of Maren Morris, but not to the point that I could identify one of her songs. I've heard more about her political activism than her music. I find it interesting that she mentioned the Dixie Twits as they haven't had a hit since THEY got political. As for Maren leaving Country music, I'll quote the great Powers Boothe as Curly Bill Brocius in the movie "Tombstone"
"Well, bye".
disco is so much better then country music and rock. Dixie chicks did what they had to do.
My dad used to play Red River Valley, on his guitar, as a kid, so, yes Country Music has changed in 70 years.
