"Uncle Tom's Cabin" is a great one to check out. There are so many great ones like "Sometimes She Cries", "I Saw Red", "Blind Faith", "Bitter Pill", " Stronger Now", "32 Pennies", "Down Boys". Jani was Warrant!! He was an Awesome lyricist and singer!! RIP Jani, You're Never Forgotten!!
By today's standards a lot of the hair metal and hard rock of the late 80's could be interpreted as sexist and misogynistic....BUT if you listen to power ballads like this it is easy to recognize how much respect they really had for women and esp the women they were in love with. They express it so eloquently and with such passion and emotion. That's how I remember the guys I used to hang with as a girl headbanger in the 80's -- when they fell in love, they fell deep. They took care of us girls and respected us. They never let anyone else do us dirty or make us feel bad. We could cut up with them like dudes, but they held us in pretty high regard. They always treated their moms like that, too :D
As someone who is sick to death of power ballads, I can't begin to tell you how much I love this song. I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing it. It brings back so many feelings and memories. For me, in my own opinion, Warrant created some of the most timeless ballads. Blind Faith is another favorite and Let It Rain is another one that I think you would really like.
This came out when I was in high school. I'd imagine myself singing it to my crush at the time. My wife and I actually seen her at a gas station a few months back. I told my wife she was my first crush and my wife went in and told her! She came out waving with all smiles! 😂😂😂
Very underrated band! Jani and the rest of the guys were so talented! So sad, he died so early in life! This song brings back so many memories of my transition from 8th grade to high school! Those were the days!
Agree 💯 percent!! He really feels the music and is moved by the lyrics!! That in my opinion is what music should do to you and if it doesn’t, you’re listening to the wrong tunes or genres! 💗
I love that you can really appreciate this era of music! I can tell you do t just hear it but you feel it too! The songs about his wife and first daughter! The chorus Heaven isn’t too far away ,closer to it everyday is a reminder that tomorrows not promised to us and we need to really start loving one another because each day that we don’t we reach closer to death. I love writer Jani Lanes lyrics! They’re literally poetry! RIP Jani! How I love the way you move And the sparkle in your eyes There's a color deep inside them Like blue suburban skys When i come home late at night And you're in bed asleep I wrap my arms around you So I can feel you breathe I dont need to be a superman As long as you will always be my biggest fan. -Jani Lane Please listen to the song Mr Rainmaker and I saw red they’re absolutely beautiful aswell! Mr Rainmaker verse: Love never rained down on me dear. Only heartache and problems…. Now in your arms i can see clear, it’s only been raining water. -You came along, With a patch of blue sky, -Inside your arms i found a place that’s warm and dry…. Mr Rainmaker, Don’t waste your time, I found a girl who is positive sunshine. She is the little queen all of my life carry on…. Find someone else to rain on….
Dokken - Walk Away is just as good as their big hit "Alone Again", you'd love both of them. Two extraordinary ballads with outstanding guitar solos especially Walk Away.
I got Jani's (lead singer's) autograph back in the mid 90's. I was waiting for Dokken to come out and greet fans and they left right after the concert. Jani came out and walked up to a chain link fence that separated the band buses from the concert area. He talked to us for a few, gave out autographs and was on his way. Nice guy. It's too bad he passed away so soon.
Warrant is such a good band. One of my favorites. They have so many good songs like this, with passion. Genuine reaction, I appreciate the honesty. This song is truly veaven and Jani Lane is now in heaven too.
I'm glad you got to experience a classic song and react to it, my brother. It gave you a chance to listen to something new, even if it's an old song from the 1980s. Music, no matter the genre or year, is universal. It knows no boundaries, color, or borders.
One of my favorite bands of all time. I used to listen to Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich to get ready to go clubbing. lol. Wire 3 cassette tapes out. Have it on cd now... love you Jani RIP
I saw Warrant at the Florida county fair in Tampa around 1991 and they were awesome.. Saw Jani perform in a rock club in NYC around 2000 and was sad at how rough he looked. He stopped performing shortly after that and then by 2011 he was gone. :(
Warrant was one of my FAVORITE bands back in the day, I actually had the privilege to see them in concert, they were awesome 😎. Rest In Peace Jani Lane❤️
I have to say that you are such a lovely guy. Anyone would be so lucky to be your partner in life. Its beautiful that you are open to listening to any genre of music. Any mum would be so proud to have you as her son. Love from the UK. 🇬🇧❤️
You are correct my friend music from the last 20- 40 years especially rock is the best and for the most part all I listen too. The song writing the lyrics the emotional connection the energy u don’t get that too much today.
There is something special about late 80s metal music! It felt happy and inspired so many! Warrent was awesome! Other bands are Slaughter, Tesla, White Lion ,Nelson, Britney Fox, L A guns just to name a few.
I was introduced to them and this song by way of, of all things, Roller Derby. They brought it back in a figure-eight format and between halves had a rock group perform. The one show I watched had Warrant doing Heaven.
this man is what a good music producer is made of. he understands art and can relate to a wide range of music and what that particular artist is attempting to convey. where was he when I was trying to produce my first song? I always encountered nasty assholes in the back offices.
Have you listened to any For King and County yet? They are from Australia and live in Tennessee now. They are Rebbecka St. James brothers......they have several great songs......."Burn the Ships," Priceless, God only knows, "Together" , The drummer boy is another great song!
You're a sweetie...one day some lucky girl will share your interests and you will have the happy life you deserve. By the way, maybe it's your journey in life to share and revive the music you love...being different is a blessing.
I've been watching you for a while now and how much you talk about Supernatural has been quite noticable to me. I'm all about horror and considering how much you made refrence to some of the music you like having been played in the show, I decided I would check it out. I just finished up binge watching every season only to get to season 15 and find that there were only 13 episodes avaliable due to halted production as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Now I am stuck in pins and needles waiting for those last 7 episodes!!! I can't wait to see how it ends and I would've never taken notice of this program that I have come to love had I not watched your videos!
Great reaction JB! You have me all in my 12yr old feelings! 🤣🥰 Not only was all of this music a huge part of my youth, it still is a huge part of my not youth lol. Nostalgia attacks are so emotional 😭!! Rip Jani Lane 💙✌🏻
i understand what u mean because there is not alot of good music out now like it was in the 70's to early 2000's! you like what music u like that makes u feel good! i listen to old school rap, hard rock, heavy metal, some country music alternative rock, r&b music a little of everything! because i grew up on alot of old school music but came into like hard rock and heavy metal when i was 10 years old and also some country music too! i love it when i go to rock concerts and country music concerts and the white people look at me and my sister J and shocked that we know the words to the music i love it!
I don't know if you'll see this because this reaction was so long ago. The song Jani Lane was was the best he wrote is Stronger Now. It was on I believe their 5th album. His daughter recently posted a video of her singing it and said he wrote it about her mom. Jani Lane was an incredible songwriter and unfortunately grunge and alcohol and drugs were his downfall. I was so lucky to be able to see the band a number of times. Their shows were great no matter if it was a small club or large arena. Stronger Now is a powerful song.
If you loved this one. I know you get so many requests, but,one of my favorites is Love of a Lifetime by Firehouse, and if you do get a chance, watch the official video.
James--I think you're selling yourself short. Trying new things isn't hard for you. You're doing it every day. You're listening to new music & artists every day. Just keep expanding that.
Hey there Please don't let anyone try to tell you you need to change what music you should like or listen to most . There is no reason you need to limit yourself to what other people might think of you if you don't like what they do . Everyone should respect others ideas on what they prefer rather it's music , fashion , or movies ; we all are different and we all need to just be understanding . If you want to like other music or anything that is great and I respect that but just don't do something that you feel is to hard to get into .....you do you and that's all you need . Much appreciation to your channel as always .
It's true Heaven is coming for us all. God is calling all His children back home soon. I was in a coma and I have a message from God for anyone who wants to hear it. It's time to believe in Jesus. Time is short.
Warrant was underrated. Jani Lane was an exceptional songwriter and vocalist.
Two of my favorites were "I Saw Red", and "Blind Faith".
Warrant definitely got slept on.
Agree 💯!!!
Lana Martin
Saw them open for Poison💚💚💚💚
Holly Holland me too!!!
80's, the decade of power ballads.

So That's why I get along better with guys. :)
R.I.P. Jani Lane. Your music will always be a part of my life.
RIP Jani.... you're missed. I love them.
You should try a song called Uncle Tom's Cabin from Warrant.
As a new Warrant fan I can’t get enough of that song. I absolutely love songs with good stories
That's actually my favorite Warrant song!
I love that song
Warrant never got the credit they were due, and Jani wrote almost every song. He was a great singer, songwriter and showman. RIP Jani.
This song is one of my favourite songs of all time, really pulls at the heartstrings.
Another brilliant powerballad of theirs is 'Sometimes she cries'
As someone who is sick to death of power ballads, I can't begin to tell you how much I love this song. I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing it. It brings back so many feelings and memories. For me, in my own opinion, Warrant created some of the most timeless ballads. Blind Faith is another favorite and Let It Rain is another one that I think you would really like.
I love hearing about your grandparents. They did a great job influencing you! Your reactions are great!
This came out when I was in high school. I'd imagine myself singing it to my crush at the time. My wife and I actually seen her at a gas station a few months back. I told my wife she was my first crush and my wife went in and told her! She came out waving with all smiles! 😂😂😂
True love is hard to come by...love that you got to see it in your grandparents..thats beautiful
Very underrated band! Jani and the rest of the guys were so talented! So sad, he died so early in life! This song brings back so many memories of my transition from 8th grade to high school! Those were the days!
One of the most beautiful ballads of all time!
Dokken alone again,is another good 80s ballad with one of the best guitarist of that era.
Listen to their other song.....Sometimes she cries...so good
So beautiful 🌹💓
One of my favorites. They played this song in 1990 when they opened up for Poison. Winston Salem NC. Yeah Baby......whoooooo.😀
Dokken - Alone Again
Damn Yankees - High Enough
Cheap Trick - The Flame
The Cult - Edie
You can thank me later.
And Dokken - Walk Away is just as good as Alone Again, crazy good guitar solo.
Welcome to the world of the hair-band power ballad.
LA Guns "Ballad of Jayne"
Yes Damn Yankees High Enough.. Love ir!!
Love "High Enough"
RIP JANI LANE
Great reaction! You should check out “Love Song” by the band Tesla. I think you would really enjoy it.
I saw them in concert with Def Leppard, one of the best shows I’ve seen
Grandparents are awesome, they teach respect. Thank you for your memories.
I got to meet Jani twice before he passed away. He was such a sweetheart. I have met other 80's hair band members but he was the nicest by far.
You are the sweetest thing on You Tube! You might love “Still Loving You “ by the Scorpions. Great 80’s power ballad.
Oh my God YES!! I love that track so much!! ✌🏻

I love writer Jani Lanes lyrics! They’re literally poetry! RIP Jani!
How I love the way you move
And the sparkle in your eyes
There's a color deep inside them
Like blue suburban skys
When i come home late at night
And you're in bed asleep
I wrap my arms around you
So I can feel you breathe
I dont need to be a superman
As long as you will always be my biggest fan. -Jani Lane

Mr Rainmaker verse:
Love never rained down on me dear.
Only heartache and problems….
Now in your arms i can see clear,

-You came along,
With a patch of blue sky,

Mr Rainmaker, Don’t waste your time,
I found a girl who is positive sunshine.
She is the little queen all of my life carry on….
Find someone else to rain on….
Man I miss the 80's...was a great time!!!!

Such a great band and yes they were underrated.
Music from that era is awesome.
It’s really wonderful to see folks discovering and enjoying new music. Its ability to touch and bind us is glorious.

You are right about today's music. That's why I stopped listening to newer music. Just listen to my older stuff. That's when music was great!
The 80's!! 🤩
RIP Jani he was amazing 😉
I have always listened to my rock music and have been criticized for it keep being you don’t change for anyone ❤️
I still can’t accept that this beautiful soul is no longer with us. ❤️ Jani Lane
Have you listened to any For King and County yet? They are from Australia and live in Tennessee now. They are Rebbecka St. James brothers......they have several great songs......."Burn the Ships," Priceless, God only knows, "Together" , The drummer boy is another great song!
Warrant is great band of the world.
You're a sweetie...one day some lucky girl will share your interests and you will have the happy life you deserve. By the way, maybe it's your journey in life to share and revive the music you love...being different is a blessing.
Please can you play some Al Green. Let's stay together, Tired of being alone. You will love him, beautiful, moving soul music. Thank you. 👍🎶🎧🎵🇬🇧

Listening to this makes me sad. I have a picture from the 90’s of me and Jani. Drugs took a sweet soul too early
God bless you and yours
Janie Lane was so talented! Such a talent gone too soon!
You can't be sleeping on Warrant. Need to add Firehouse to the mix.
A great power ballad. You should try "More than words can say", by Alias.
PLEASE listen to Motley Crue “Home Sweet Home”.
It's true Heaven is coming for us all. God is calling all His children back home soon. I was in a coma and I have a message from God for anyone who wants to hear it. It's time to believe in Jesus. Time is short.

Find Stronger Now by Warrant. It’s a great closure song.
Do I SAW RED!...Really shows his voice!
Here is a rock band to check out from the 80's I listened to that might surprise you. Living Colour - "Cult Of Personality"
You should react to Great Whites "House of Broken Love", and "Save your love". Good songs
RIP Jani 🙏
Listen to down boys.
RIP Jani Lane!
