The filter that you added actually cleaned up the song because the extreme high end of the frequency range isn't that audible to the human ear so when you get rid of it everything sound cleaner and more polished

Im sure he makes his own sounds but the point of his channel is to take the requests and such. Plus taking someones sound and adding/subtracting characteristics from it creates your own sound. Hence why its not a wav file its a patch that we can change however we please..

Hey guys, took a lot of time out from making videos for a while for a variety of personal & professional reasons which I will explain in my next video. Why the filter polishes sound? Well, low pass filters actually litterally polish sound. The lower the lowcut the more polished. That's how you get low frequencies with it, cause it rounds the sharp waves.

Hey man, love your tutorials c: I do have one suggestion though. If you're still doing these anyway, could you maybe play the sound every now and then while it's still being created? I think it would really help people to understand what exactly is happening, because words can only explain so much, ya know? Just a thought, but anyway these are great, I find these very useful. It seem like I do everything exactly the same and yet yours sounds better... do you have something on the insert? Or whats going on.. i know that you have like a loop underneath it but the synth itself

I'm sure people ask this alot but are all the sounds in your youtube videos available for purchase in your presets packs you sell?
You shouldn't double the third in a chord arrangement there should be only one third but as many fundametals and fifths as you want
*RECOMMENDATION:* you can also add some tube dist and chop the notes every 4 bars to add some spicy effects like in Flume - say it (Illenuim Remix)

PLEASE do a tutorial on Tarro's future bass saw in Califormula. It's a really good sound but I can't quite figure out how to make it. It would be a huge help if u could help out on this endeavor, it's a very unique and powerful sound which I am sure will garner a lot of attention!!!!
Thanks for the video! Constructive feedback: it would be much more helpful if you could play more while you explain things. For instance, you did a good job explaining the voices part, but why not play a note while demonstrating the difference between 0 voices and 7? If you could do that whenever you change something, it would be huge. Thanks!

I downloaded your Serum pack, and while it's awesome, it looks like a wavetable was left out of the Eric Prydz lead or something. No audio is coming out, and the wavetable is a blank default table. Would appreciate some guidance on how to edit it to how you intended. Thanks!

dude your work is awesome love your the way you explain things nice and precise, i have a question, when your playing those cards, are you using a midi keyboard or musical typing on the laptop? i have everything set up the way you explained in the video, but it doesnt sound the same, if your using a midi keyboard i understand, im about to go try out my 49 key and see if it ends up sounding the same. musical typing on the laptop only lets you use a few keys and i i watch you keys push down it seems like your using a midi keyboard

Can you give me your thoughts of using Square waves instead if Saw waves/ Super Saw waves for this? I've only ever seen tutorials that use Saw waves for Future Bass!

Hey Tom, I am newer to production and was playing around a lot with this sound and ran into a lot of trouble choosing a lead or other layers to play with it during a drop/chorus. It sounded to me like it was a problem with the phase, detune, or just how wide this synth plays across the spectrum. If you or anyone else could possibly explain what to look for when choosing another sound to match this one, and how you arrived at that conclusion, it would help me immensely as I really like this synth and plan to use it a lot to help me learn.
P.S. I do understand the mixing required to glue something to it, as well as how the envelope and sidechaining can cause other layers to sound horrible if not tailored to the overall movement, the problem is that creating my own sounds to go with it (mostly saw waveforms) clash really harshly and sound like total shit.

Great tutorial. I improvised and added an LFO that modulates the levels of osc A and B and it like pulses, kinda like it has sidechain. it sounds so sick. Thanks again for the tutorial.

How is EQ different to a filter? Don't they both remove frequencies?
Filters are usually for creating a specific sound and eq's are to clean it up. I've personally used a eq as a filter in one of my songs, but it was very difficult.
