it's rare to find someone as helpful, concise, and informative as this guy right here. I was looking for ways to avoid paying for quality presets, but you my friend, have most definitely earned my money. keep up the great work!
awesome tutorial learning heaps from these. 1 suggestion tho, may be preview the synth throughout the different stages of the design so people can understand how the knobs, LFO, filters etc. are affecting the sound. Thanks!
Hey guys, took a lot of time out from making videos for a while for a variety of personal & professional reasons which I will explain in my next video. Yesterday I finished my new website so it no longer looks like it was made in MS Paint :) I've also finished and uploaded a new 'Future' pack that you guys might be interested in: synthhacker.com/ Thanks for the continued support and yes there's gonna be tonnes of new content this year! Peace x
These presets have helped me so much. I bought Serum a long time ago, but I could never figure out how to make the sounds I wanted to. Not only have you helped me make these amazing presets, you've also shown me how each knob and feature affects the sound. Keep up the great work!
You're a legend mate - I was doing alright just preset tweaking but you've given me the confidence to peak under the hood! The results have been great and has allowed me to start defining my own sound. Thanks again
+Nsoccera The sound in the drop of that track isn't that different from this sound, apart from you would want to set the LFO to envelope mode instead of it being a repeating LFO. Also sounds like it has a little more high end and resonance on the filter. There might also be a brass/horns sampler playing underneath as well. Which can really sound great layered under these future bass chord sounds.
Hey SynthHacker, Thanks for all of your tutorial uploads. They are seriously the BEST on UA-cam and thanks to you I've used your tutorials to create new and unique sounds with your tutorials as the basis. The sounds and compositions are really inspiring and I would like to know if there was a way to message you more about questions I have about Serum and general topics?
LOVE your tutorials mate! Bought your Ultimate Serum pack a while back. Now I'm coming back for tutorials because I want to learn how to make the sounds myself.
+SynthHacker Hi! I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to make this lead from Kasbo's remix of Fetty Wap-Trap Queen (starts at 1:11). Thanks!
I'm always amazed at how simple some of the coolest sounds are. It's easy to get carried away with some crazy complex sounds and making it sound worse.
Hey Tom! Love your videos man, is this preset available in any of your packs? Also a request: Would you be able to do more Flume, Louis the Child, etc. sounds? You do a great job.
I really like this because you can apply this to every (VA) synth, which is awsome. Gonna make that with Bitwig devices tomorrow :) Some of your Serum tutorials make use of Serum's Wavetables and awesome freely drawable LFO's (which is great, because these are just killer features) but I've got NI K11 (therefore Massive), so I can't do that without a moderate amount of time in Reaktor.
For anyone watching this another thing you can do to brighten/liven this sound up is use the ENV 3 to bring ina reverb mix as the sound plays. Made me like this sound a lot more!
Just found your channel today man and thought i'd say i'm really impressed with the way you approach your videos. So many sound engineering videos either go at a pace you can't follow or over complicate simple processes but you're definitely on to a good thing here! I don't know if you take requests but i'm looking to try and create a sort of Bruno Mars/Stevie Wonder funky moog bass for one of my songs. Any idea how i would approach this?
I would strongly advise letting us hear how each knob, filter, etc. effects the sound as you progress through the tutorial (or any related tutorial). Other than that, thanks for the help!
did you get to a point where you can hear any synth in any song, and play around with your knowledge of serum until you can recreate it? i assume this just takes practice and knowledge of serum?

I really like this because you can apply this to every (VA) synth, which is awsome. Gonna make that with Bitwig devices tomorrow :)
