- Just installed Spyder One Attitude's Triple Threat Exhaust on my Spyder F3s.
This video covers mostly the sound of the exhaust, but also shows the removal of the stock cat and muffler (all one unit). The installation of the Triple Threat. Finally I show a few of the pieces that gave me problems in the installation. There is a link below for Spyder One Attitude's website. Thanks to all my viewers! That sounds amazing! A lot of people in the motorcycle community look down on the Can-Am. I see it as something In its own category - a snowmobile for the pavement. I didn't realize they could sound like that! Thanks for the video

30 minute install. 26 of those minutes is getting the springs back on. I used a bent coat hanger with a vice grip my second attempt. Much easier than the hook tool.

I added the Triple Threat muffler but kept the CAT on. My F3 sounds similar to yours. I notice you have the tail end of the muffler parallel to the brake mechanism. I had to move my muffler up because the heat started to warp the hard plastic covering.

Any added drone or inside helmet noise with the triple threat with the stock cat?
@@paulmolinari5784 Its louder in the helmet yes. Wife and I have built in headsets and I get a feedback or exhaust noise from her mic. But really only experience that when Im hitting throttle kinda hard

I’m still learning about it. Didn’t get any Delivery instructions. I bought it used and they delivered it to my home. The Dealer is about 35 miles from my home.
Oh yea, now it has a 100% digital dash to display almost everything, no more dials for MPH and RPM. The RPM has a digital but the MPH is indicated with numbers no swinging needles.

I'm in the market in getting a F3s, I had a few friends say save the money and just get a F3. They said there is no difference in take off speed. Only thing you gain is the 15 extra HP and barely any traction control when cornering. What's your input you think its worth the extra 15 hp?
@@larrywright2088ify I would need to research that. The dealer told us when I bought mine that the F3 and F3s both had identical engines and the only difference was the suspension system that is tunable in the F3s
if it wasn’t for can am i would have stopped riding at 50yrs straight ; meaning at 71. Now I can keep on rolling. Tried Harley Tri-glides after other Harleys but didn’t help the back. Can Am did

Cool pipe. It has a great raspy sound through 1st & second....but does it quiet down after you get into the higher gears & when the load is taken off the motor? & does it have a droning sound at highway speeds?
Wow 2yrs! It quiets down a lil at lower rpms. But it's still pretty loud.
How much did u pay for that exhaust and where did u buy it from?
If your going after looks this exhaust system is definitely what you need. If your going for sound you’ll be disappointed! I took off my two brothers exhaust and installed this exhaust and WOW!! What a difference, it’s like going from a V8 to a V6 for sound. This muffler looks good but the sound doesn’t match up! I’m not here to discredit this exhaust, I’m giving you a honest opinion of what I installed. My advice, if your running two brothers and thinking about buying this exhaust system make sure you listen to it in person and not on a video. After paying $500 for this system I’m re-installing my two brothers exhaust..
Did you lose power or top end speed with the two brothers exhaust? Also is the two brothers just the muffler tip or does it replace the cat also?
@@MyLord100571 it replaces the cat also. I also have a pedal commander in which sport+ gives you a deeper sound. With two brothers exhaust I use just the sport and it sounds aggressive. I tried both using this triple thread exhaust and no difference in the sound, far as top end I’ll have to test them both at the track to see where it differs. When buying an exhaust, most guys like me are going for sound and the triple triple thread exhaust reminds me of my old stock muffler. It’s not what I expected by looking at the muffler and watching videos on this muffler... like I said, I’m not here to bad mouth this triple thread exhaust, I’m giving people my honest opinion between the two and two brothers exhaust is just better quality and it’s not close. I’ll definitely use this for shows and a daily driver but going to the track, two brothers exhaust let’s them know you mean business when you pull beside them!!
@@budbrudis5213 I completely understand. I was going for more power. Anytime you put an after market exhaust which should open things up more you "should" get more power or higher top speed. I had this bike with stock exhaust up to 125. After I installed the triple threat exhaust it struggles to reach 106mph. Thats a big difference in the wrong direction in my opinion. So I'm looking now at buying a tuner or programmer to bring that power back. No dealership in this area can wipe my ecu to erase all the limiters on the bike.
@@MyLord100571 that sucks I purchased my exhaust a few weeks ago . I was between two brothers or triple and I went with triple because of the Two Brothers "re-stuffing after 5k miles" I wanted something that didn't need Maintenance in the long run and also still give the bike a rumble. But after reading both of your conversations I feel like I've made a HUGE mistake! I'm a deep.rumble kind of guy and my purpose of buying this muffler cat delete is so people hear me pull up! I know I'm waaaayyy past my return policy. I recently purchased my own f3 and still awaiting for delivery. It's gotten pushed back so my accessories I've purchased are coming in. So now everything including my triple threat is just sitting in the garage! Feel like I wasted $500+. 🤡
@@larrywright2088ify Don't get me wrong Larry. It is pretty loud. To me it sounds like a formula one race car when you're around 5k rpm. So you will be heard. I've had Harley riders tell me they have heard me over other Harleys. It's the performance in disappointed in. To go from at least 125mph down to 106mph means something is to chocked up. I wanted more speed and performance overall out of the bike
Where did you get that rear seat back support from? I would like to order that for mine.
Thanks for the view and thanks for the comment. I ordered it from the dealer that I bought the bike from. They make one just like this one that is the same back rest cushion but the frame is s quick release from the side handles. This one that I have is mounted to those handles with hardware. Anyone who sells Spyders should either have these or be able to special order for you. You may check online venues as well, such as Can Ams website, and may be able to find backrest on there. How this helps and have a great day!

You can keep the cat and just get the tail pipe kit. I think he sells it in a few different options

THE "S" stands for sport. There is not much difference. A lil bit in the suspension but that's it. Same motor as the F3 Touring model

I would say there is not enough difference to really notice.

@gradymcnutt2247 When I bought my spyder they told me they're was only a one year warranty on it to begin with. So I didnt buy the exhaust until after that time frame.

@@gradymcnutt2247 They are definitely fun! Very stable ride. My favorite part was drifting around corners. Like 90° street corner intersections.
In high school I used loud exhaust noise to get attention.

Did you let it run for 15 min to allow the computer to reconfigure?
Not quite 15 more like 10 min.
Does it add hp?
No. Also lost top end speed. Fastest I had the bike was over 120 with sick exhaust. This exhaust in fifteen to 106. Dealer suggested doing a ECM wipe to get top end back and low end torque back.
But it still sounds pretty darn cool. Really though how many folks are punching these over 100mph anyways?
I mean Im a lil crazy like that. Speedo says 200mph I want to see if that needle goes that far. You know?
