I sold my Fz-1 for one of these and honestly im still quite happy. I have a 2010 rss-se5 with the passenger seat. I got it because my new Gf at the time was not comfortable on the back of such a high motorcycle. Took her for a spin on the spyder as a test drive and she was happy as a clam. If you plan to ride a lot with someone on the back, these are fantastically comfortable and still pretty dang quick. My insurance wants about $90 per year so that itself should prove how safe these things are
I think people have a problem with how people refer to them as "sportsbike" or "bikes". When in fact they are sports touring trikes that are totally in a different category than a sportsbike.
Hey Ryan, thanks for your honest review. We have a 2013 ST-L, with the "old style" motor and body/suspension. They just keep getting better all the time! You are right...most people just don't know what to "do" with a Spyder! Kind of reminds me of way back when motorcycles (Harley's?) were getting popular and had that "this is different" attitude. When we pull in to park in a public area people approach us and want to know all about the Spyder, how it is to ride, what it cost, how fast is and so forth. A really nice BMW touring bike can pull in next to us and no one asks then anything! We love day or weekend or week long trips on ours as a couple. And yes, the trunk in front, the "frunk" is mighty handy. My wife and I trade off driving, I usually have to fight for the front seat! I get lots of thumbs up and positive waves from all riders, not always from the Harley crew. Their loss, we really don't care. Enjoy!
Hi Ryan, I enjoy your videos, I"ve probably seen the majority of them...and, I ride a Can-AM RT Ltd . I'm curious as to how you view them now seeing how about half a decade has passed since you recorded this. I've ridden two wheels on and off for about 60 years and switching to a Can-Am was no easy feat, especially on the RT where the operator sits more on it than in it. It took me about 5-6000 miles to become one with the machine. The learning curve is much quicker on the F3S, where the operator sits down deep inside the machine and it becomes more like driving a Go-Kart. I'm looking at an F3S today and may make a trade. For your viewers from an every single day of the year Cam-Am rider; If you're just farting around town and want the fun with little investment go with a Ryker, if you're wanting to travel the Interstates and go long distances go with an RT, if you still need adult supervision because your inner hooligan refuses to behave go with an F3S.
Conventional 2 wheels in the back I personally like the look of better, however for riding I believe the Can-Am is a better and more fun ride! At the end of the day, whatever suits ya is what you should get!! When I am messed up enough from age and mobility issues I will likely have one or the other. Not there yet so haven't decided which yet
I had the old model spyder.. The 990 rotax v-twin... I did about 90,000km on it when I traded it... I miss every second of it.. I loved that freak of a "bike"... I never once got anyone treating me badly, more likely I had people coming over wanting a photo..
I’m on a scooter and the can am riders wave at me but the Harley rides won’t. I like the look of can and besides the ryker but some people might not. I mean what motorcycle has an option for a trailer and some people think they are unreliable but to me they would out last a Harley
I've got an '08 premiere edition manual clutch Spyder & it is tiring to ride at high speed. I do prefer highway cruising and generally 85 mph seems tame on mine. If you live in a city or area with bad roads you'll learn fast to pay attention to pot holes & pavement flaws as you'll feel them all. still super fun and safe for one older guy with 4 kids & a wife to stay alive for
I had a major stroke a few years back and the only problem I still have is my balance is still off! I have been riding on and off road my whole life, 35 years on the street alone. I was really lucky some of the others in my rehab were20+ years younger than I and some of them are still having problems walking and talking correctly. Not me I’m almost 100% back to normal!! LOL, except that balance thing. The Spyder may be my answer to getting the wind back in my hair!!! I drive for a living, no problem most days are 10 to 12 hours and I log about 230 to 250 miles every day!
I have one of the Premier editions and still loves to take it out for a relaxing ride on a weekend. It has a lot of recalls but Can-Am is really good at resolving the issues. I believed new models are better and fewer headaches for the new owners not thinking the bike will suddenly stop for any weird reasons. Thanks for the review and feedback on the new model.
I bet a race prepped version with a separate front brake, retuned engine, and less electronic assistance would make for a pretty neat racing series considering the physical challenge of riding it and what I assume is a very specialised style of driving required to move it around a track quickly.
I’m a new rider and just bought one. Taking the endorsement course in June. I love it. I’ve never ridden a motorcycle or this before so there’s a learning curve but I these are easier. At 46 years old I doubt I’ll ever ride a bike. But you never know
When I rode one around on a test ride the width and the fact that it limits the escape routes definitely hit me. Also you can't as easily duck around someone doing something dumb sitting in the road. I was stuck behind morons just as if I was in my car, where on the bike I'd be long gone. I took a semi-automatic F3-T out to test it and I was impressed, it shifts very nicely. I see these as a 'lazy' rider so I would totally go with the auto. The clutch on the manuals is insanely heavy, which I found bizarre. The big advantages to me were that in the 90F weather I had while testing, it was pretty sweet to flip open my helmet and completely relax when stuck at a traffic light or in crawling stop/start traffic. Two-up (the main use I was checking it for) it would be a lot easier to deal with than a bike when stuck in traffic. The brakes were very impressive, the thing stops on a dime. The wind protection on the F3-T was pretty nice and the thing has plenty of punch at 80+ with a good bit left beyond that for highway running. I ultimately got a BMW R 1200 GS/A, simply because I wasn't ready to commit to 3 wheels. If I had the spare cash and time to use one, I would definitely park an F3-T in the garage next to the GS. I liked it a lot more than I expected.
Chris Esser Hi Chris... I have an F650GS, then later bought an R1200GS Adventurer, then 6 months later had an accident and wrote it off.. A few months later when I was healed and the insurance money came through, I test rode, then bought a Spyder in 2010 (or so)... 90,000km later I traded it for another R1200GS.. Ive done maybe 20,000km on the 1200 now Im looking again at the new Spyder... I miss riding that quirky trike.. It had to have been the most unusual thing Id ever owned.. I miss it.. I still have my F650GS for offroad camping trips, but its got me thinking.. Do I need two trailbikes..
Not for young pups that still want to be stupid, do stupid things and increase their chances for an early grave on a two wheeled bike. More for young and older guys that have matured and just want to be safe and enjoy the ride. People are too ignorant these days on the road texting or talking on their cell phones. You have a much better chance with the stability of three wheels.
exactly, I have a form of C.P. (triplegia, I was born with it) but I want to ride with friends. btw I'm one of the "young pups" never got to ride a motorcycle except as a passenger, which was three wheeled, two in the back, one in the front. would like to do my own thing without my mom being overprotective because of my condition.
i totally factor in how many people are text driving now, heads in their laps, steering w/ their knees..I've seen it too much, it's totally swaying my decision towards safety 1st, then speed.
The issue with distracted drivers isn't that two wheeled motorcycles can tip over... Fewer escape routes with a vehicle that's more than double the width of a motorcycle.
I know this is a really old video, but I think it's the best analysis of this model Spyder I've seen! I'm going to get one - but 2021 or newer. I've done 2 test drives, and for a non biker in my late 50's, this is a great way to get on the road. The newer model F3S have smoothed out a lot of the issues you mention here.
and I thought riding a bike was all about being a rebel...how can you knock somebody for liking a spyder when status quo says to ride a 2 wheeler ..get it right..you need self esteem to ride a spyder and not worry about what the next man thinks of you..I see nothing wrong with them or the people that ride them...just different..
I see them and think, "cool!". It's something different. I haven't found the rule book that say's only two-wheeled machines are, "cool". I've looked but can't seem to find it.
@@axslinger99 I just recently purchased a Daytona F3 Spyder. I had completely forgot about my post on this video. Loving riding it. People stop me all the time asking about it. My above statement still stands even more now..if you ride it like a 2 wheeler it will wear you out or maybe you will build some upper body strength..cowboy up..
People shouldn’t hate on these things; it’s wonderful that the handicapped can still enjoy the open road and all the fun it brings. I look forward to getting one when I’m 80 and I’m sure I will just love it. For the record, I always wave at spyder drivers.
In Texas these are classified as motorcycles. You have to have a motorcycle license to ride/drive one. I've owned several Harleys, but a lot of guys on Harleys won't wave at a bike if it's not a Harley. I don't really care if you're in a car or truck or go cart or motorcycle...if someone waves, you wave back. In Texas people wave as you drive by, regardless of what you drive...most of the time. Especially outside of a city.
You nailed this review, I hated my spyder for the reasons you pointed out, no sporty feeling, always tired on curvy roads, i did hit a dog with it and glad i was on 3 instead of 2 wheels, my wife felt safer on it because she could not tip over, it is ,was it is and one day I may have to return to 3 wheels for health reasons, hope one day they can make it lean like a bike or give it that feeling of carving turns instead of being pushed off
As I injured myself 6 months ago and has not resolved even after surgery. I am possibly stuck if I want to continue riding, I will need to look into this option. I need a long distance tourer, grocery getter and winter ride. This might fit the bill. Thank you for producing this video!
I ride a 2011 Spyder RT SM5 and I get plenty of waves back on the highway. The bike also draws a lot of attention, turned heads, "what is that? It's cool." and lots of glances and smiles from the ladies and a guy walked up to me at Timmy's and said "That's a beautiful machine you've got." It was also mistaken for a new machine by a Spyder rider! Genuine no-rubber band 4-speed with overdrive transmission. 998cc and 100hp and 76 lb/ft of torque, good power band above 3,000 rpm and red lines at 9,000 revs. Not a speed demon but passing with two up on the bike is no problem and a way from a light it is quite quick. It also sounds great, stock. The nanny _is_ a pain in the butt, though.
If someone is deathly afraid of highsiding or lowsiding, they can get this, or a quad? I don't know if there are any road legal quads, not that I would care, especially if it had headlights, brakelights, and turn signals, but I think a quad could be a great option. Especially one modified for paved roads. Lower & stiffer suspension, street tires, whatever.
Thankyou for saying they drive like a snowmobile. Let's face it, they are snowmobiles with wheels. I've ridden snowmobiles, motorcycles and a spyder ( a friend's ) and spyders are very much more like a snowmobile. I agree they aren't very fast either. My friend kept bragging about how far his spyder was, my stratoliner deluxe quickly showed him how slow his spyder was lol
CanAm sales on these bikes is huge. They have announced they will start building two wheel street bikes in a few years. To me, it looks like all the disadvantages of a bike and a car, but may be the best setup for long range touring?
Want one for summer while my snowmobile hibernates. Funny the dash is almost identical to a skidoo dash.. I'll wait till they make them with more power though - my sled would rip a wheelie right past that thing.
Always wondered how riding one of these frankenbikes was...Now I have a little more insight, but I will stick to my two wheels. FWIW, I wave to these riders, never knowing if I should or not but in the end it's for the love of riding. Thanks for the vlog.
I've been riding a F3 since June. I get waves from most people aside from the Harley crowd. My main ride is a Jeep so the wave thing is natural to me. Some of teh old school Jeepers in the original CJs (army style Jeeps) wont wave at the new models either. Lame if you ask me.
@@snowren24 I'm getting old.I can't believe the price of jeeps.I bought a jeep cj5 renegade with a v8 new in 1978 it cost $6700 bucks.I ride a Harley I wave at everyone.
I like 4 wheelers but they not street legal so this is the next best thing plus i would feel more safer on this and less tempted to go over 120. Pretty much im sure more people who die on bikes than on these and its all about getting where you going in the end.
Good for you Doug. Just yesterday, I traded my Harley Sportster for a new 2017 no-frills F3 and I think it's really cool. There is a transitional learning curve, but not overwhelming. I think these are really sophisticated, cool machines, but definitely not for everybody. I'll be motovlogging my experiences soon.
well said, tho' honestly, because of the 3 wheel balance, I see myself pushing the speed, more so than 2 wheeler w/ bikes, what makes me apprehensive, seems there's so much out of your control, on top off manual shifting while watching out for traffic. no chill. Spyder has the bike feeling, w/ less anxiety of wipeout..if a cage just taps you, its over..on Spyder, seems like you can let it roll, hop off that bitch, & get back on
I totally missed the obvious connection between these and snowmobiles until this video (durrrr). I think these are much less silly now, especially if you are a snow rider looking to get your jollies in the off season and want something that feels like home.
Thanks for a great review, I've been considering a Spyder because of a service injury that keep me off a motorcycle. I really miss riding a bike. But for an older guy like myself ( 60 ) is the spyder really hard to ride? I really don't need to ride fast anymore just want to feel out in the open on the road. I need a cane to walk so holding up a 2 wheeler is out of the question.
Hey, thanks for watching! This Spyder (the F3-S) is the most "difficult" to ride. Because it's the sportiest model, the power steering is limited to enhance feedback. Therefore it takes a fair amount of upper body strength to ride. *But* there are lots of other Spyder models that are "easier" to ride. Check out their cruiser-touring lineup ... those are based on the F3 in this video but will be more relaxing to pilot. ~RyanF9
These bikes are not difficult or tiring to ride. There is a learning curve initially, but once you have ridden a bit, it's a breeze. I have ridden both Spyders and Harleys for years. There are many, many Spyder riders with injuries. Go to Spyderlovers.com and you can learn a lot more about these machines.
I had a mild stroke in December 2015. Mucked up my balance for a while. This spring I plan to take out my Ninja. But I have to say, when the times my balance seemed to be off, these things really appealed to me. The only real problem I think is the price. Man are they expensive.
If you want to know if it is fast race A motorcycle over a 10 mile course 5 miles bitumen and 5 miles of slippery dirt roads, if you’re on the Can-Am you will have completed the track & have time for a coffee before the motorcycle gets to the finish line. Bypass the nanny system and they become an awesome drift machine also.
The video is older - but not all motorcyclists hate the Spyder - but there are people who don't want a motorcycle anymore because they don't feel safe on it. And the Spyder is safer than a motorcycle. 2 wheels in front with Brembo brakes and ABS are better than one wheel. The Spyder has TCS, ABS, SCS and CBS. The Spyder has everything that makes it safe. The Spyder has power steering and the Spyder has UFIT. You sit much better on the Spyder than on a motorcycle because you can adjust the Spyder to your body. So why not a Spyder when the time has come to stop riding a motorcycle.
"It's tiring - even on the straights". I borrowed my neighbour's older version of the CanAm Spider for an afternoon ride. I too found I had to wrestle it a lot, as it was extremely sensitive to even minor road irregularities. Uneven pavement caused it to lurch to the side. This shifted my weight to the opposite side, and along with it twisted the handlebars in the direction of the unwanted turn, making the lurch to the side that much worse... As Ryan noticed, it was hardly a relaxing ride, as this twitchiness was worse at highway speeds on secondary back roads. My neighbour's trike was an older model, and may have needed alignment, or perhaps the newer models aren't that unstable. But for the amount of money you can spend on a CanAm you can buy a modern car that's more stable, comfortable (and with A/C & heater), safer, and has more luggage and passenger space. Maybe even more fun to drive... I'd love for this trike to work for me, as I would consider it as my 'final bike purchase' in my senior riding years. But based on how it handles, I don't think so...
If you haven't already, set the rear air shock on max from the dash. I found it helped considerably. In addition I'm getting an aftermarket sway bar and links for it. The stock ones are puny so body lean and sensitivity to camber change are the order of the day. The Y-shaped aluminium frame flexes under highway-induced torques which changes the angles of the front wheels and requires attention but only if you're too fast in a corner. This is a bike you drive. Though it is a roadster it demands as much attention as any motorcycle. But it's a helluva lot smoother.
I'm getting one of these while I'm young and able-bodied and don't want to hold up right a heavy bike ..don't want to come outside to my bike tipped over & ruined fairings..spyder comes with adrenaline & safety for commute that can't be beat, no lane splitting, but still.. & the F3 is the most bad ass, consumer level version of the Lazareth Wazuma we're ever gonna get, so..now the price, I can get a fly used Porsche @ this rate, so we'll weigh the pros & cons
All the disadvantages of a car, and all the disadvantages of a motorbike, rolled into one disadvantaged package. Def not my thing, but if I were missing a leg or something.. maybe.. Great vid though, as ever.
You landed an amazing gig! hopefully you are gonna be here for a while. I would like to know how you record them vids as in what gear you use and do you do it all by yourself?
Vlogs like these are all by my lonesome. But anything you see in the studio, or our full bike reviews, involve the help of a few friends. For this video I used two GoPros and a Zoom H4n connected to a lav mic, which I run into my helmet. ~RyanF9
Nice review and you are correct the nany need to have an off switch. Also it is a "sport trike" not a standard hard to handle trike. It's built around steering and handling not fashion. When it comes to motorcycles it is motorcycles that do everything backwards like counter steer. Car and trucks don't counter steer. automatic is the only way motorcycle and sport trikes should be built. It' is like a snowmobile as snowmobiles are just plain fun. There is a way to ride trikes like this using a stiff arm which eliminates the feeling of flying off and reduces the effort to near zero,
had one when spyder first came out. riding motorcycles 40 years. couldn't get used to feeling on turns of spyder trying to throw me off. got rid of it, will go back to harley.
I notice you say it's not very fast but you hit 90 at one point so I say it's fast enough to get blue lights behind you aka cops for those that don't know what that means
I'm use to riding sleds (snowmobiles) and never done motorcycles. So I might try one of these out, but they are pricy, considering a bike can start easily at $4,000 USD, and this starting at $17,000 USD, it's a hard pill to swallow. Though my aunt whose been riding Harleys with her husband for over 30 years, only a few years ago she dropped her bike and burned her leg badly on the exhaust, they traded in her bike for a Spyder.
I own an F3S. Also a VTX 1800. The F3 will smoke my mighty Honda. In sport mode it absolutely flies. I have a cat delete, Voodoo exhaust and intake. Mines a 2018. It's TOTALLY DIFFERENT from my motorcycle and just as dear to me. I laughed at these for years. Boy was I wrong. I look for youngsters with subaru WRX's and whup em. 😎
Glad you decided to do a review on this. Front is like a sports car, rear is like a muscle cruiser. I'm pretty sure you can get the ECU reflashed for those aids. Not a bike like you said more of a car, like that sling shot thing.
+Dan Walsh sling shot has bucket seats, steering wheel and seat belts. Yeah definitely a car. This has bars and the rear end of a Ducati daviel, from the looks of it.
The Guardian It's certainly not a trike, it's sold as a roadster, but I never said it wasn't. Simply front sports car, rear bike - that's what you said. Personally I'd rather the Slingshot. Spyder loses the bike handling while not really giving you any benefit except not having to put your foot down at stops. It's more a 3 wheeled ATV than a bike. Spyder's are still cool and get unnecessary hate. Wouldn't give up my bike for either tho.
Fantastic review, loved every second of it. Great job. I rode one of these yesterday for the first time. Never rode a motorbike before either. I loved it. I rode the semi automatic one with 6 speeds. I am now looking at buying one. Liked and subscribed ! Great job 👍
Hey Ryan, I really enjoy your videos, but the placement of your helmet cam for this one drives me up a wall. It takes up 1/3 of the screen. Great video as always other than that!
Hey! Most of the time I see them parked just like a car. And it has a reverse gear - you press a button on the left hand controls and push down through first gear to engage it. ~RyanF9
Do you guys know of any other from wheeled trikes like the can-am? I ask this because the other day a vehicle passed by me real fast and it looked like a spyder but it seemed that its front was lower so the driver(or pilot?) has to lean forward instead of sitting upright like on the spyder... well anyways I am just curious about what could that be?
Isn't it time to upgrade this review to a 2020, or 2021 model? A lot has changed in 6 years. Test out the R/T Limited and tell me what you think. Nothing in the world like it.

i think i just hate the way it looks more than anything else

exactly, I have a form of C.P.
Facts!!!
Ryan, the newer models have "sport mode" which tames the nanny quite a bit. The Daytona model F3 is very cool.
Fair point! I'd love to try one of those. ~RyanF9
You nailed this review, I hated my spyder for the reasons you pointed out, no sporty feeling, always tired on curvy roads, i did hit a dog with it and glad i was on 3 instead of 2 wheels, my wife felt safer on it because she could not tip over, it is ,was it is and one day I may have to return to 3 wheels for health reasons, hope one day they can make it lean like a bike or give it that feeling of carving turns instead of being pushed off
Sooo, is the bike's lack of sporty feeling and tiredness on curvy roads to blame for you hitting a dog?
I love my motorcycle, but that thing looks so cool...
As I injured myself 6 months ago and has not resolved even after surgery. I am possibly stuck if I want to continue riding, I will need to look into this option. I need a long distance tourer, grocery getter and winter ride. This might fit the bill. Thank you for producing this video!
lol @ 3:43
Great vid. Not my thing (at least for now lol) but at the end of the day people should ride whatever makes them happy!
Looks like a fun weekend escapade vehicle
Want one for summer while my snowmobile hibernates. Funny the dash is almost identical to a skidoo dash.. I'll wait till they make them with more power though - my sled would rip a wheelie right past that thing.
Always wondered how riding one of these frankenbikes was...Now I have a little more insight, but I will stick to my two wheels. FWIW, I wave to these riders, never knowing if I should or not but in the end it's for the love of riding. Thanks for the vlog.
Hey Nic! Good on ya for waving - always best to share the love. ~RyanF9
I cant wait to get mine.
I like 4 wheelers but they not street legal so this is the next best thing plus i would feel more safer on this and less tempted to go over 120. Pretty much im sure more people who die on bikes than on these and its all about getting where you going in the end.
Sam Well that's exactly why I want one of these
Good for you Doug. Just yesterday, I traded my Harley Sportster for a new 2017 no-frills F3 and I think it's really cool. There is a transitional learning curve, but not overwhelming. I think these are really sophisticated, cool machines, but definitely not for everybody. I'll be motovlogging my experiences soon.
well said, tho' honestly, because of the 3 wheel balance, I see myself pushing the speed, more so than 2 wheeler
w/ bikes, what makes me apprehensive, seems there's so much out of your control, on top off manual shifting while watching out for traffic.
Kind of feels like you're riding an ATV when on one, especially since from your point of view you see two front tires.
I see how people say it feels like a snowmobile, but for me it’s more like a jet ski
Bypass the nanny system and they become an awesome drift machine also.
love the vids and the site! actually these vids got me into the site ! ordered an icon overlord resistance jacket and i love it!
i love my f3 limited triple black
Larz Man can the storage boxes detachable?
Really like your videos - I’m new to riding so find the information useful
Wow superb bike dude...how much does this bike cost?
I think it will not be easy to ride especially who is rideing two wheeler..
Would you recommend this to someone who’s never ridden a bike before?
Are you going to test this again? These machines intrigue me.
Yep - full fancy review coming next week. ~RyanF9
the important thing... top speed. also BRP=brap
@@FortNine Ryan, it impressed me so much, I bought one. Superb machine. I still also ride motorcycles, as well.
Try riding a newer Spyder. You’ll find its a lot more easier to ride than the older units.
I'm getting one of these when I'm old and handicap and can't hold up right my bike anymore.
I'm getting one of these while I'm young and able-bodied and don't want to hold up right a heavy bike
..don't want to come outside to my bike tipped over & ruined fairings..spyder comes with adrenaline & safety for commute that can't be beat, no lane splitting, but still.. & the F3 is the most bad ass, consumer level version of the Lazareth Wazuma we're ever gonna get, so..now the price, I can get a fly used Porsche @ this rate, so we'll weigh the pros & cons
zbb2stillalive Your statement indicates you have no clue.
"all these buttons, that do many things", nice top gear reference
I'm glad someone caught that ;) ~RyanF9
Nice review, thanks.
1:34 "it makes a beautiful sound" Yes it does. Yes it does.
Great video bro!!!
There is a way to ride trikes like this using a stiff arm which eliminates the feeling of flying off and reduces the effort to near zero,
Great review !
had one when spyder first came out. riding motorcycles 40 years. couldn't get used to feeling on turns of spyder trying to throw me off. got rid of it, will go back to harley.
I notice you say it's not very fast but you hit 90 at one point so I say it's fast enough to get blue lights behind you aka cops for those that don't know what that means
Do you live in Quebec? Saw the stop sign written in french. Also where was this filmed at, Loved the roads.
Yes I do! And this was filmed near Valcourt, QC. ~RF9
Wonder what your impression of the Polaris Slingshot will be?
I own an F3S. Also a VTX 1800. The F3 will smoke my mighty Honda. In sport mode it absolutely flies. I have a cat delete, Voodoo exhaust and intake. Mines a 2018. It's TOTALLY DIFFERENT from my motorcycle and just as dear to me. I laughed at these for years. Boy was I wrong. I look for youngsters with subaru WRX's and whup em. 😎
Ah that's the Can-Am you were talking about!
Hey Valentin! Yeah, that's the one. ~RyanF9
A+++ (Have you ever done a vlog on your recordings setup? Is that 2 GoPros and a separate recorder for audio?)
Never done a vlog about my setup, but I probably should. Yep, it's 2 GoPros and a Zoom H4n hooked to a lav mic for audio. ~RyanF9
It would be great if brp would offer the 850 etec or the 900 ace turbo in this thing.
Where I live these bikes are EVERYWHERE. They breed!
Great video mate, thanks for the content.
are you using external microphone? Is it attached to the gopro session?
Ryan, a test between the Niken and the Spider!
I love this can am Spyder F3s ! it s just amazing and it looks so good !!! just beautiful !!! (better than the old one) thanks for this vidéo ;)
Glad you decided to do a review on this. Front is like a sports car, rear is like a muscle cruiser. I'm pretty sure you can get the ECU reflashed for those aids. Not a bike like you said more of a car, like that sling shot thing.
Too add I like the helmet.#keepumcoming
That definition sounds more like a Polaris Slingshot. That thing is literally half sports car half cruiser.
It steers like an old truck? Servo steering is a must.
Fantastic review, loved every second of it. Great job. I rode one of these yesterday for the first time. Never rode a motorbike before either. I loved it. I rode the semi automatic one with 6 speeds. I am now looking at buying one. Liked and subscribed ! Great job 👍
I love its sound.
Also look at times "Spyder Sven" please. Thank you
Thanks, great video, great assessments
Please let me know the mic setup you’re using
U not pushing it to the limit it is fast
Been looking at them a lot love have a old gen. Some said new f3 sport model has the track control where u can turn it off with out a tuner or chip?
Keep waiting for a deer to run out.. love my F150. But then I'm old. Had a KZ650SR I dearly loved.
does it brake better than normal motorcycle? stopping distance for example. it should thou...
Yep, it stops quicker than most motorcycles I've ridden. ~RyanF9
Yes, it has 3 tires and more tire = larger contact patch = less skid and abs interference = faster stops.
Take the traction control fuse out if it has one. pro tip
was wondering if i could take the frame and add a GEO Metro motor and trans onto it
no high nor low side, no wipeout if tire blows, yet you don't feel safer. who is this guy
Hey Ryan, I really enjoy your videos, but the placement of your helmet cam for this one drives me up a wall. It takes up 1/3 of the screen. Great video as always other than that!
Yeah, it annoyed me too. Glad to hear I'm not the only one - will try to avoid that placement in the future! ~RyanF9
Hi fortnine. It turns better than a quad?
i get waved at all the time
+FortNine Hey Ryan, what do you think about the kawa er6f ?
like always im here ryan..greeting from india
what i the difference between two wheels at the front and two wheels at the back?
I'd like to give one a go but I'm a bit strange that way lol .
Tiring? I am over 60 and I find it very easy through windy roads to the point of I exerted hardly anything. The last thought for me is tiring???
Liking one of these just because it's Canadian is the same as liking nickleback just because they are Canadian.
Can a.m should add the Honda gl1800 dct to it , that would be a monster worth buying
Gotta have the pedal commander mod
3:43 that scream hahaha
ryan , Hi ! love your work. To start with did anyone tell you that you look similar to joffrey(jack gleeson) from GOT. ;)
Hi.. Just curious how do you park this thing in real life.? Does it park like a car.?or a bike? How do you reverse this thing?
Hey! Most of the time I see them parked just like a car. And it has a reverse gear - you press a button on the left hand controls and push down through first gear to engage it. ~RyanF9
lolz that scream when u realize theres no front brake
Do you guys know of any other from wheeled trikes like the can-am? I ask this because the other day a vehicle passed by me real fast and it looked like a spyder but it seemed that its front was lower so the driver(or pilot?) has to lean forward instead of sitting upright like on the spyder... well anyways I am just curious about what could that be?
Isn't it time to upgrade this review to a 2020, or 2021 model? A lot has changed in 6 years. Test out the R/T Limited and tell me what you think. Nothing in the world like it.
