While leveling my Flurry + Rapid Fire Rogue, I found a pair of gloves that I crafted in a certain way to become a huge upgrade for my character, even if they didn't look good at first glance. Here I explain how I did it and how you can profit from these tips.

Incredible trick and actually pretty insane! Lots of value packed into this video. Thanks!
Very cool mechanic!! I love how this makes you feel like you're actually building your own weapon, kudos to the folks at blizzar for these mechanics that people don't often see.
Unlike every other UA-cam video that has “Insane” in the title, this one - as are all Wudi’s videos - is insanely helpful!
So many subtle/hidden mechanics you've unlocked for us!!! Thanks so much!!!!
Great video with a great example. I felt I know how this works, but seeing it in practice like this I believe I probably hade multiple items i didn't see potential in wrongly.
probably way more than a couple here. always a bad feel
Wow, that is a super helpful trick. Definitely worth paying more attention to the stats on each legendary now knowing that they can be changed to higher tiers by imprinting.
Its not tied to the item being legendary but the item level itself.
@@KamienTV You are incorrect here. The ilvl determines the rolls, the aspect allows for further upgrading. Normal > 4 upgrades / Sacred and Ancestral > 5 upgrades. Upgrading is another breakpoint in the item. So, in a way yes, it is because he placed the sacred aspect, making the item legendary. Which allows for the +3 roll.
'Legendary aspect' only affect the aspect part on the item, you can upgrade and roll any rare ancestral without legendary affix on the name and get the skills up.. not sure what you are on about.
@@KamienTV What I am on about was the tip in the video, or did you NOT watch it and decide to run your mouth for no reason?
AS STATED IN THE VIDEO: Using a sacred aspect on a normal legendary, it allows you to increase the max amount of upgrades at the blacksmith.
@@voxii_13 Just rewatched it to be sure and you are right, the aspect allowed that one extra upgrade due to the low item level and it being close to the threshold to the next 'tier' or whatever we wanna call it.
My comment was about the skills on the items being tied to the item level and not the fact that they are legendary. You can pick up a rare and do the same.
Bro, you are just full of super valuable information. We appreciate it!
Great video! I had no idea you could turn a regular legendary into sacred
Thanks a lot for the video , really good info !
Awesome video and thank you for the example! Love the content
they need to add a breakpoint at 825, make it more exciting for those 800+ ilev items
Nah. I hate the randomized rerolls. What if you got a 815 item with 2 perfect rolls. You upgrade it and lose those perfect rolls. Hard pass. That means you won't be able to upgrade it.
@@WhatIfTheorieshow would you feel about some form of low roll protection system?
@@zebedeesummers4413 I do not like that rerolling requires the forgotten souls (forces you to do helltides). I also do not like how everything in the game costs a crap ton of gold and resources, especially the enchanting, rerolling.
@@dhreed82 The real question is why are you not doing Helltides.....
@@KingNiros helltides are boring because pack density is ass. you spend most of your time running around. i still do them for the resources, but they're not fun.
This was an amazing video man! I did not even realize you could do that with the aspects. Turn sacred into ancestral. Mind blown 🤯
Yah I thought the only difference was they wasted more gold lol
the cost and the item power stays the same (base armor value), still very good to know.
Thank you! I hope you create more of this guides.
Damn this is really good, thank you!
Super useful information! Thanks again!
Very nice info as always Wudijo. Thanks a bunch! =)
excellent info, thanks!
Thanks for sharing!
This change everything for me. Thank you ❤
daaamn , nice tips bruv , THANKS A LOT
This is a great thing to keep in mind.
Really helpful info. Although I knew about it before I always need to remind myself again that this all is possible, because mostly i just take a quick look over it and salvage or sell :x
wow! extremely helpful, thank you!
hell yeah brotha!! good tips
very useful, thanks
Cool tips! I thought you were building up to reveal some tech where doing an imprint or rerolling your stat at the Occultist would let you reroll the potential upgrades you'd get by bumping the item to the next item power breakpoint or something, but this was useful anyway!
Cool! Got to keep an eye on the near breakpoint items. 👍
Thanks! This video is so useful.
Thank you for teaching me
Very interesting mechanic! thank you
ui nice, thanks for that video! didn't know that - i think i have to keep more attention on upgrading my items
Awesome content as usual mate 🙂
Jesus, thanks Wudi ... i didnt even knew, that i could imprint legys with other aspekts O.o i could have so much better stats already if i knew that earlier. Thanks man! Keep up the good work.
This was super useful!
Oh God... I'm gonna spend even longer scrutinizing the stats on my drops now. 😂 Thanks!
Thanks for explaining this basic mechanic
This is a great tip for going into seasonal.
Dang! Thank you! 😊
Bester Mann
danke für die viele Tipps
Beautiful I didn't know thanks u
Yoooo this is sick af
Ah. That is awesome! I didn't know the golden ones were from Sacred and Ancestral strictly. That should help me improve my power a bit more.
Oha, bin gerade froh, dass ich Dich gefunden habe. Werde mir die anderen Videos auch ansehen.
Glaube rauszuhören, dass Du deutsch bist. 😊 Aber ich schaue es auch sehr gern auf englisch!
Had no idea that's how it worked🤯
So the imprint actually does matter! Nice video
Thank you
awesome ty
Thats genuis. I got some of this down already but this is beyond what i was aware of so far. So bascally all items between 700-724 with 3 desired affixes even if rolled badly, have high potential. Even if Sacred.
Especially the possibilty to upgrade to ancestral will take me a while to work into my scanning routine - if i can manage at all. I already did scan until 700 itempower because i knew about ranges. But I was not aware that it could also be bis (besides low Armor obviously). At this point i'd rly like a lootfilter which could easily have those items stand out.
Was a filter coming in the upcoming patch or is that just my hopeful thinking making me misremember?
I almost spend more time sorting through my loot than i do actually playing the game, it drastically needs better filtering & sorting
@@jamesgarrett7844 As somewhat of a hoarder, the amount of time wasted NOT doing Helltides etc...
Super cool trick! Thanks!
Also, hoping the duplicate roll on the same item bug gets fixed.
Thank you woo dee joe very cool!!
good video, good info
only issue I have is that gold goes slow, or rather the upgrades are too costly
Shit I never thought about that. Good video bro!
this video was insanely helpful. something about wudi explaining things makes sense to me and my brain.. as soon as i hear anyone else talk stats and shit with d4, everything goes out the window.. wudi good at talking in layman's terms with d4 and i appreciate that.
That's because he's an authentic fan of Diablo. The rest are just puny content creators copy pasting everyone else's and passing off these "new builds" as their own
been running flurry rapid fire from the beginning xD It takes ages to get everything set tho but when you get all you need it just shreds through everything
i didn't know u could imprint onto an item that already had an aspect on it, u learn something new everyday\
This is really true and part of the fun of diablo item hunt. I actually had to go in game to check before writing this to make sure it was true but I got a lucky roll combo with a good enchant and I have boots on my lvl 76 sorc that are +3 frost nova, ice armor and teleport. Its my only +9 rank gear on any of my characters
+ to ice armor does absolutely nothing. You want movement speed/resource reduction/frost nova/teleport. More ranks of frost nova and teleport actually reduce the cooldown. More ranks of ice armor just add a little ice dmg which is useless
So that's the advantage of aspect being sacred/ancestral. Nice :)
Oh so now it makes sense why they have sacred and ancestral imprints, and why they are not all equal. Cool info!
ohhh so thats what was happening to me. i was wondering why my CDR got worse on my item afer upgrading it. Kinda makes sense now thanks.
I love these kinds of things in gear-dependent grind games like Diablo. ^^ Sometimes it works out, especially when you know about stuff like this. Sometimes it absolutely doesn't. ^^
Hey Wudijo, I was curious what your thoughts on activating rare nodes are? I know you’re not supposed to be able to get all of them as you progress further, but I’m having trouble giving up bonuses like damage reduction. I’m only level 78 rn so maybe I’ll be able to hit most of the bonuses without gear by 100, but as of rn I’m having trouble swapping out all stats on xbows to take stuff like 70% damage to close enemies on your death trap build. Not to mention losing crit chance from the 70ish int loss and the raw damage from the 100 or so dex. Would you be able to make a video going over the basics of when to focus on the bonuses and when to cut your losses and prioritize damage affixes on gear?
Oooo, didn't know about the sacred imprint part. I had it happen but didn't put 2 and 2 together. Also makes me think maybe I should clean out a bunch of the normal legendaries sitting in storage for a rainy day. Hmmm.
Hey there, great video by the way. I had one question though on the methodology. If I were to do the same thing you did, but apply the sacred aspect first, would I get the same results or would the 50% upgrade at the blacksmith not occur in the same way? Effectively bricking the piece of gear in question from obtaining +3. Thanks again by the way for all the informative content you provide to the diablo community.
Insane!
quality content.
cool. ty
this is a really good video. expected clickbait and got surprised :D
The level requirement of the item will change to the aspect that was extracted so be aware guys. Wudi bricked an item in an earlier video.
So if you have an aspect from earlier levels it's a bad idea to use it in this way? How can we even tell which of our aspects are "bad"?
@@pogtuber5146 probably by looking at the "requires level x" tooltip on the aspect ??
@@lawlestest Yeah I see that now my bad
@@pogtuber5146 No the opposite; earlier level aspects won't raise the level requirement of gear, the aspects off high level items will raise the level of the imprinted item.
I had a similar puzzling moment when I upgraded and imprinted a pair of gloves for my ice shards Sorc. I found a sacred +2 to ice shards pair of gloves and imprinted and upgraded fully, expecting to see a +3 skill result. The gloves rolled +4 skills and I couldn't figure it out. Must have been an ancestral aspect in my stash. Another interesting thing was I imprinted the defensive shield aspect on hitting a ln elite (name escapes me) and I used my level 90 Necro to imprint it because my Sorc hadn't unlocked the occultist yet. The result was a massive shield value in the thousands instead of about 400 or so that my Sorc would have had access to at such a low level. Must be lots of tricks and accidental benefits out there.
lol breakpoints is SUCH valuable!! information
TY Wudi
wow amazing
Get a high power level item (725+) that’s sacred or ancestral. If it has 3 out of 4 good perks, Enchant it at the Occultist and remove the worst one with a more desirable perk. Then Upgrade it to max at the Blacksmith. Finally, imprint it with the best in slot Aspect for your build.
For Gloves you’ll always want this:
Attack Speed
Critical Hit Chance
Critical Hit Damage
Lucky Hit Chance
Or substitute any one of these for your main damage Skill
Can't get crit damage on gloves I don't think
@@ryanfitzpatrick4927 you can
i love it like every D4 video has something like "insane, epic, ultra, mega, brutal" in titles xD
i didnt know about the legendary to sacred legendary trick 😱
Very cool. So I assume we just need to be keeping eyes out for rares that have the right stats but not the right rolls?
Great video now if blizzard would just remove level requirements off the legendary aspects id be happy.. ruined an amazing crossbow for my rogue with a max roll aspect i found on my lvl 85 😢
I used this trick by accident and I thought it was a bug, but looks like it's a feature :D. Spaghetti code LOLW.
One thing I can find information on within the community is: “are some enchantments impossible?” -that is, you’re looking for vulnerable damage on a 3/4 1h weapon, and you’ve re-rolled the “damage to stunned” 20+ times without seeing vulnerable. Are these two affixes incompatible for re-rolls? A list of possible affixes would be really helpful.
some rerolling is just broken if you have seen his vid when he rolled multiple stat lines, multiple times. Also some other classes can get stat lines others cant, so if you have an alt you can manipulate things further for specific builds that wouldnt be possible on that character.
Yeah I would like to know this too, however, as the other person said re-rolling seems a bit weird at the minute... I'd been trying to re-roll a useless +skill to a different +skill and hadn't been able to, I gave up when it was getting stupidly expensive. No clue if I just needlessly wasted a bunch of mats/gold or if it's a repeat of the D3 "socket" rolls. I didn't actually see any +skill replacements as I was rolling which is weird because it was a +skill to begin with. There do seem to be particular categories of skill that only appear on particular items (e.g. necklaces), so there must be some system.
I'm sure there will be resources like we had for D3 eventually (kadala cheatsheet, torment level breakpoints etc), new community tools seem to be coming out daily, but everyone is still trying to work things out atm. It's interesting/fun watching wudijo's stream and seeing the lightbulb moments as another little discovery is made.
The maxroll guys seem to be working on figuring out builds etc ahead of season 1 for now - 99% of the questions Wudijo gets asked on his stream are about builds. They are possibly also waiting for the first big patch to see what bug-fixes come through. Blizz seem to be saving the more trivial bug fixes for the bigger patches and just fixing exploits/really broken stuff on the fly.
It will probably come eventually, I'd imagine it will be quite a while though.
in D3 they shown what a stat can roll into, no idea why it's not showing in this game.
So is it best once you find an item you like, upgrade it to the max and then re-roll the stat you want to change? Or does it not matter if you upgrade it before or after the re-roll?
Wow interesting
Great video, awesome explanation, one question left ! Found an amulette (ancestral item app. 780), it had max movespeed, cooldown red and +1 rank to defense. I rolled less ressource cost on it (which was expensive) and then upgraded it 5 times. Knowing I could end up with only a +2 and thought I still have a chance for +3, but it STAYED on +1 ! How is that possible ?
isnt that just RNG?
@@nznige its RNG if it rolls with +1 or +2 to start with, but if you upgrade a +2 five times, its allways a +3 in the end. But it seems like if you only have a +1 roll then its RNG if you get a +2 on upgrading or not. Curious to me, and I even heared people telling me you can get a +3 starting out at +1. No logic behind all of that IMHO. 😞
@@Nagash-ol3oe hmm does it say 1-3 on the roll chance?
wudi actualy learned something when he bricked his crossbow a couple vids back, unlike most of us haha
Be carefull with aspect imprint as the level of your aspect will change the level of the piece of gear where you imprint your aspect on. I dont know why it's even in the game, it makes gearing alts so difficult. I've been saving lots of aspects on my main to power up my alts, only to find out I can't use any of those aspects.
I'm not saying this didn't happen to you but I imprinted all my 700-800 ip gear and nothing got leveled down. They were all lower level aspects. No change in stats, power, or level. Maybe you experienced a bug.
@@kingkuder8427 I dont mean item power level, I mean the required level. If you extract an aspect from a lvl 80 item and imprint that aspect into lets say a lvl 60 item on your alt, the lvl 60 item will become lvl 80 and you wont be able to equip it.
It's writtent on the aspect but I didnt pay attention. That's the mecanic I found not alt friendly at all.
The next level of min/maxin 😂
Is there any benefit to rerolling the Intelligence into Flurry before pushing it to the next item tier for the reroll? It seems like there's a risk of rerolling into +2 Flurry first and then having it end up a +1 Flurry following the tier bump reroll.
Breakpoints are such an interesting mechanic but leaving the last breakpoint in range of sacred gear definitely leads me to think a breakpoint above 725 either exists or was intended.
There's been some information found that hints at at least 3 more tiers of gems (after Royal) and Blizzard has left themselves a lot of room to expand upwards so I think you might be right.
I have an item that will downgrade all 4 stats if I upgrade it to the next tier. Very cool, thx Blizz.
I'm up to 6 mil to reroll one of my stats, they really should make it so the price drops over time
Wudijo = Legend
is it working both ways? meaning when i put sacred or normal aspect on ancestral item, would this ancestral item downgrade to sacred or normal quality?
It’s insane how much gold you have. I’m lvl 82 and I sell 98% of all items I find… and I struggle to stay above 4-9mil.
same here, as soon as I have 4-5m I roll better items for a stat that I need, and of course almost always I'm out of luck...
.. I have looted several gloves with double skills but also one with 3 of them. The one with 3 all had +2.
love it
What worked great for me i Rolled Items while being yellow and it cost less to upgrade
I'm assuming that same process can work with putting lower aspects on high gear rolls? I didn't know you could upgrade reg leggy to sacred or ancestral with aspects. Thanks for the info!
Does this work in reverse? If I imprint a "legendary" aspect onto an ancestral rare, it won't take away possible upgrades, will it? Is there any reason to avoid imprinting low level aspects onto higher level gear?
where can I found item power thresholds and sort of table that shows what item power I get after each upgrade...man this is sick...basically if you find good stats on shitty item, you can turn it to godlike item even if its low level.....very insightful, thx
I rolled storm skill cd and resource generation 3 times in a row, I really wish the rerolls would be a smidge better.
I have a feeling that blizard will fix it after watching this video :D
