Nothing beats d3 combat in arpgs. Not even d4 is as fluid. D3 is great, and enjoy the leaderboard blast each season. Wudi , you are the God of DH my man. Feels like a big loss for the d3 universe that you won't be able to participate as much.
D3 is my most played game of all time. Its such a special game to me. I started right before RoS launched. In a couple years Im sure d4 will take the throne...but man Im going to miss you d3.
It's my favorite Diablo game, but I'm currently only able to play on xbox 360 since PC doesn't have controller support and I can't afford a PS5. I kind of got boring once I got to end game, but it's only patched to around 2013 so a PC or PS5 version will allow me all the gameplay enhancements along with much better graphics. I still had a blast when I first played it 3-4 years ago.
Thanks for all your D3 content over the years. I never played season 24 (due to TBC classic), so this is like an entirely new D3 season for me and I'm very hyped for it. Even after all these years, there is something about D3 season-starts that makes me count down the hours until 17.00 on Friday.
I played the original game on ps3, then RoS that destroyed my ps3, then moved on and played several more thousands of hours on ps4. D3 was very awesome
Ethereals were a fun season :) I still remember my friend being excited about getting his first one he was like "I got one I got one omg" thank you for all your content!
Between PC and console, ive played about 20,000 hrs of D3. Many MANY years and it really does hold a special place in my heart. D4, POE, Last Epoch as well as other games like Elden Ring has garnered my attention as of late. Thanks Wudi for the amazing content. Thumbs up to thee future of gaming :)
Me and my wife right before the last epoch cycle watch started a campaign in Diablo 3. Load it up all our paragons and got blasting it was the most fun I've had in awhile
Unlikely, they already said that d5 would be sooner than d4 was to d3. Also, blizzard is probably taking notes on how not to do an arpg for their next realease.
you would think, but by then the entire d4 is replaced AGAIN by 99% interns. D5 dev team will then AGAIN start with NOTHING learned from D4, and D5 will launch with ZERO Quality of LIfe features, and the cycle repeats over and over
sad youtube didn't show me the video until now but i think i'll go back to D3 every single season just because i absolutely love it only missed season 9 and had my highest GR clear at season 28 at 149, didn't have the patience to grind out a 150 as i'm mostly a casual and play the builds i like instead of what's strong, so mostly inna, whirlrend, frenzy or invoker D4 hasn't managed to grab me that well yet but season 5 has been quite fun at level 65 now thanks for all the videos and guides over the years you and rhykker did so much for me to fall in love with D3
This is sad to hear. After my gaming computer broke around season 10 and I didn't get a new one until season 27 and that's when the people on Reddit turned me towards maxroll. Which lead me to watching you in season 28 and in the few subsequent seasons watching you play before NA went live always made me eager to play to experience the new themes. I still watch you play D4 sometimes but my computer can't handle the game so I can't play it. Which means I don't really know what's going on so it's less exciting to watch than when you play D3.
Diablo 3 gets way more hate than it deserves. The D2 fanboy purists decided at launch that it was trash and if you play it you're not a "real" Diablo fan. That's bullshit. I have WAY too many hours in D1 and D2 and just as many into D3. Those "purists" never gave it a chance and it got much better after a year and had quite a few seasons that were genuine gems. So what if it didn't have the slow mindless grind that D2 did? For some of us that was a _GOOD_ thing. You could pop in for a few days with a new season, max out a couple toons to give up at GR 110-120, and put it down until the next season. Some of us think that accessibility was a strength, not a weakness. Not every game needs to be a life sucking hole you have to pour thousands of hours into to have nothing to show for it except to call yourself a "real" fan.
Your whole opinion is just void when you project and start prefacing anyone who likes d2 a fanboy. D2 is better, get over it. I was one of the best monks and DH in d3 too btw on HC. D3 was the start of the end of the franchise, it doesn't make it a bad game but it doesn't make it better.

I did not know much about “seasons” in gaming context until d3 introduce this. Not all seasons I have played because there’s some hits and misses. But no matter what I still appreciate them improving the gameplay and providing more contents. 😊
It's been a hell of a journey. D3 was a rollercoaster of ups and downs, but over all it made so many memories for so many people. After 16k hours myself I think it's time I finally set it a side and cherish the time I had with it. 💜

I personally would like to thank you guys at Maxroll, I found D3 just in the last few years. I was an OG Diablo player way back when, you guys have done a lot of the hard work for the rest of us for the build, so hey I appreciate it.
Such good memories with this game. Watching old build guides having no clue what I was doing, staying up till 3am playing split screen co op.. This game definitely had its problems but it was so much fun.
It will be sad to not have you playing this. I do understand the change though. This was my favourite season, so I’m hoping to actually get a 150 with DH on console.

Call me naive, but I can't help to keep a small hope alive that you will return again for a future season - so that I can drastically lose the opening night race to you again - until they give us proper leaderboards in D4 that thrill is still missing for me.

Diablo III was my first Diablo that I really went hard into. I played the Diablo demo, some D2 back in the day but never got hooked with D2. I'll always count D3 as one of the best installments in the Diablo franchise, and now, D4 is slowly making it's way to that title, and I honestly can't wait for that to happen. D1 was always my personal favorite, it would be nice to see it brought forward into more modern graphics with some quality of life features and maybe an endless dungeon or something like it so I can continue slaying demons and earning new rewards and loot.
im looking forward to some of the seasons i missed. i played most of them but missed a few. played d3 since day 1 and enjoyed every chapter of its life. doing the same with d4 right now. this last season was fun tho still has me playing this far into the season lol.

Diablo 3s first legendary item/monster density patch was prime diablo. Still felt like inferno mode. Killing diablo was still a feat. Legendary finds was exciting, rushing to paragon 100. So good.
I know I'd never be high up on any leaderboard but I still find it fascinating to check the times of the experts to see how I compare. It's incomprehensible that D4 doesn't have even the bare bones of a leaderboard for each character class.
Same, I play for a week or two. Get the altar of rites done. Get GR 100+ done and get some primals + ancient gear then I feel pretty done with a season now as there are no major additions to content anymore.

I still prefer D3 over D4, but they put in some obvious work, and D4 improves bit by bit. I will probably enjoy 4-5 more seasons of D3 before i deem D4 as good enough to play it longer. It may be minor for some, but i cant put up with not beeing able to teleport to players by clicking their icon, and having no warderobe to save gear sets and skills / paragon. And even if they worked a ton with itemization, i think its still garbage with "dealing damage on a monday if your vitamin d level is between 6-7" stats that no one needs and the calculations behind the damage numbers are too complicated for a casual. And well, as long as they wont allow me to reroll tempers and NOT brick items that i like and want, im not ready to put up with the game again.
I loved your D3 content. Sucks that I just can't get into D4, I've really tried but it's not the game I wished it was. I alternate between D2R and D3 nowadays.
*Sniff. Going to be a bit weird not listening to you blasting in the background while I'm blasting myself. Either way, it's completely understandable that priorities change. Whether you come back or not, I wish to thank you for everything you've done for this community over the years. Just watching your pushing videos taught me so much about how to approach certain maps, it pushed my GR clearing potential by at least 10 GRs when pushing was still really a thing.
I just played season 4 of Diablo 4, much imrpovements since season 1 but for me , it has to many things going on in the game. I Will always go back to D3 and D2R and as of now ,i enjoy it more then D4. Maybe after they release the expansion pack it might improve for me. I don't like mirco management games and D4 seems to have that more then D2r or D3. Plus Goblins are far superior in Fun then D4 which is pitiful imho.
I am thinking of trying out Last Epoch, only today I found out the game also has meaningful leaderboards. Not sure if d4 will ever get proper endgame leaderboards for stuff like the Pit, so you kinda wasting time putting effort into gearing when you can't use it to blast and keep a record of your best runs.
I've played every Diablo 3 season to varying extents, and struggling on whether I break the streak or not - this is the first season in a long time without new rewards so there's not anything unique from this one for me.
I feel like you missed some solid seasons there.. well the exp grind sucked for a lot of them unless you like rat runs but the pushing was fun Spirit Barrage and learning those mechanics were really cool

If not, is that something you might consider? LOL... me asking this despite you detailing your overbooked schedule with current ARPGs. PD2 is something I am considering checking out. I loved the original Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction and played it for years. Have not tried PD2 or D2 Resurrected.
The timing is unfortunate for sure with Last Epoch’s 2nd cycle just launching. I would have liked to have played for a week or so but can only budget enough time for one of these ARPGs.
THEY DIDNT add new cosmetics to diablo 3 season 32... thats the only thing that sucks. I have all the rewards even though they said they are new. I dont get that
D3 went into maintenance mode after s30 launched. Reading between the lines, I'm guessing Blizzard doesn't feel the new season player counts warrant assigning artists to create new cosmetic items, even the few that would comprise a seasonal rewards pack. I've played seasons 1-8, skipped 9 for some reason, did 10, then didn't play D3 again till 30 and now 31. That means I have 20 seasons worth of themes and cosmetics that I never got to experience the first time round. Not to mention the additional game mechanics with the altar and expanded follower gear slots. I was most active in season 5, playing all 6 available classes, accumulating over 24 billion gold and doing 990 nephalem rifts. The necromancer DLC came out just before season 11 but I had stopped playing D3 by then. Finally bought the DLC for season 30 and have been enjoying playing necro in season 30 and 31. Thank you wudijo and Maxroll for your detailed guides on all things D3 which have helped catch me up on all the stuff I missed in those 20 seasons I had skipped.
Last season i played was 23 i think?.. or was it 22.... but I also enjoy going back to see my records on the website. Too bad they didn't implement those type of things (data/records) in D4.

Diablo 3s first legendary item/monster density patch was prime diablo.
Still felt like inferno mode. Killing diablo was still a feat.
Legendary finds was exciting, rushing to paragon 100.

I know I'd never be high up on any leaderboard but I still find it fascinating to check the times of the experts to see how I compare. It's incomprehensible that D4 doesn't have even the bare bones of a leaderboard for each character class.

For me, Diablo 4 combat doesn’t scratch the itch of what Diablo 3 does, so i’ll always go back to it every second or third season

Same, I play for a week or two. Get the altar of rites done. Get GR 100+ done and get some primals + ancient gear then I feel pretty done with a season now as there are no major additions to content anymore.
Had a plan to play s32, but D3 feels too slow for me now haha. Thanks for all the content you have provided over the years.

@@Bonezone84 WW barb with 200% movement speed. I know an optimized speed DH GOD is faster. I just tried walking around and felt sluggish haha

I still prefer D3 over D4, but they put in some obvious work, and D4 improves bit by bit.
I will probably enjoy 4-5 more seasons of D3 before i deem D4 as good enough to play it longer. It may be minor for some, but i cant put up with not beeing able to teleport to players by clicking their icon, and having no warderobe to save gear sets and skills / paragon. And even if they worked a ton with itemization, i think its still garbage with "dealing damage on a monday if your vitamin d level is between 6-7" stats that no one needs and the calculations behind the damage numbers are too complicated for a casual. And well, as long as they wont allow me to reroll tempers and NOT brick items that i like and want, im not ready to put up with the game again.

I loved your D3 content. Sucks that I just can't get into D4, I've really tried but it's not the game I wished it was. I alternate between D2R and D3 nowadays.
*Sniff. Going to be a bit weird not listening to you blasting in the background while I'm blasting myself. Either way, it's completely understandable that priorities change. Whether you come back or not, I wish to thank you for everything you've done for this community over the years. Just watching your pushing videos taught me so much about how to approach certain maps, it pushed my GR clearing potential by at least 10 GRs when pushing was still really a thing.
LE just aint it for me this season, so D3 it is!
After season 4 of D4 and now second cycle in LE, D3 just has no allure for me anymore. I feel the same about D2r as well. RIP to old giants.
I know we have the altar but i wish that Blizz would start combining seasonal themes.

I just played season 4 of Diablo 4, much imrpovements since season 1 but for me , it has to many things going on in the game. I Will always go back to D3 and D2R and as of now ,i enjoy it more then D4. Maybe after they release the expansion pack it might improve for me. I don't like mirco management games and D4 seems to have that more then D2r or D3. Plus Goblins are far superior in Fun then D4 which is pitiful imho.
Last Epoch is taking over for me too. This is the best LE has ever felt with this new update
I am thinking of trying out Last Epoch, only today I found out the game also has meaningful leaderboards.
Not sure if d4 will ever get proper endgame leaderboards for stuff like the Pit, so you kinda wasting time putting effort into gearing when you can't use it to blast and keep a record of your best runs.

I've played every Diablo 3 season to varying extents, and struggling on whether I break the streak or not - this is the first season in a long time without new rewards so there's not anything unique from this one for me.

I feel like you missed some solid seasons there.. well the exp grind sucked for a lot of them unless you like rat runs but the pushing was fun Spirit Barrage and learning those mechanics were really cool

I played D3 from the day it came out, when you could pay cash for goods ha ha, but last season just grew old for me to. Sadly
i wish they bring back s30, it was so fun, it was my most played season i've spend like 300h

Thanks, wudijo (and Maxroll), for all your detailed guides for every aspect of Diablo 3 gameplay. I don't know if you've answered this before but have you played Project Diablo 2? If not, is that something you might consider? LOL... me asking this despite you detailing your overbooked schedule with current ARPGs. PD2 is something I am considering checking out. I loved the original Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction and played it for years. Have not tried PD2 or D2 Resurrected.
The timing is unfortunate for sure with Last Epoch’s 2nd cycle just launching. I would have liked to have played for a week or so but can only budget enough time for one of these ARPGs.

THEY DIDNT add new cosmetics to diablo 3 season 32... thats the only thing that sucks. I have all the rewards even though they said they are new. I dont get that
D3 went into maintenance mode after s30 launched. Reading between the lines, I'm guessing Blizzard doesn't feel the new season player counts warrant assigning artists to create new cosmetic items, even the few that would comprise a seasonal rewards pack.
I've played seasons 1-8, skipped 9 for some reason, did 10, then didn't play D3 again till 30 and now 31. That means I have 20 seasons worth of themes and cosmetics that I never got to experience the first time round. Not to mention the additional game mechanics with the altar and expanded follower gear slots. I was most active in season 5, playing all 6 available classes, accumulating over 24 billion gold and doing 990 nephalem rifts. The necromancer DLC came out just before season 11 but I had stopped playing D3 by then. Finally bought the DLC for season 30 and have been enjoying playing necro in season 30 and 31. Thank you wudijo and Maxroll for your detailed guides on all things D3 which have helped catch me up on all the stuff I missed in those 20 seasons I had skipped.
D3 is a favorit game and i will never stop playing it ( unless Blizzard shuts it down )

Last season i played was 23 i think?.. or was it 22.... but I also enjoy going back to see my records on the website. Too bad they didn't implement those type of things (data/records) in D4.
You should do a youtube video where you take diffrent "montages" from other seasons and put it into one video :D
