Grozny, all of the above will work for this project, the chiffon will not be sheer enough for my taste and the poly organza will be great to distress with a heat gun to make holes in the piece if you like that sort of look which I do! I hope that answered your question? Anni
ilovedresses not sure what kind of a skirt you are sewing, but with Organza you need to be neat as it will be transparent. You could serge the raw edge before doing a hand sewn hem with a tiny hemming stitch. Or use a bias tape and attach it to the raw edge and either turn up to the inside and hand sew a hem or stitch it with machine. Best of luck Anni
It certainly would Reer, however I didn't want to have to soak my piece afterwards because my image was not waterproof. One could also use the iron-away stabilizer but again depending on your image and fabric with heat tolerance etc.

Wouldn't water soluble stabilizer facilitate easier stitching while maintaining the translucent nature of the organza?
