    🌺🌸 Hi and thanks a lot for your tutorial. You explain really well. I have just inherited a Babylock Embellisher and had no idea at all on how to use it and thanks to your demonstration, I’m starting to see the possibilities. What appeals to me is that it can be a great tool in making artistic pieces that can be framed like what you’re doing and play with transparency and shades, etc.

      @AnniHunt 3 роки тому

      @@victoriamcintosh5122 ah, I get you. Well as I said, Bernina has a felting foot/kit that you can attach to their machines. It works really well. I have not checked into any other companies to see if they do a special foot /kit for felting. NB It is the needles that do the felting, they are "burred" on the tips (i.e. roughed up and jagged) so you use the 'burred' needles to felt the fabrics together. So, included in the kit is an attachment that accepts 6-10 of these burred needles to meld/felt the sandwich of fabrics together. I hope this answers your question. Anni

It seems you like the Roland HOTbox as much as I do, and you had the same issues with a griddle as I did, those that me led to my developing and manufacturing the HOTbox. Adding a couple of comments: Most of the suggestions you had for us have already been implimented! Several years ago we created a new dimmer, and we also added an heat sensor to keep the temperature development safe. Please note that the Roland HOTbox is now available through Vent-A-Fume at www.ventafume.com/roland-hotbox-for-encaustic/ Additional info on it is as RolandWorkshops.com, along with fabulous workshops in Encaustic Monotype and other techniques that include use of the authentic Roland HOTbox! Is there a general rule about the largest size of a certain fabric, like the relatively thin but strong linen used here, to go by that will fit within the short side of the embellisher machine. Also, I am pleased to discover a fine artist with whom I can identify. Is the finished piece able to be stretched on wooden stretcher bars for display like a painting might be done? Thank you so very much for the demo. I live in Texas but would love to attend a workshop conducted by yourself if you do so.

      Hi again Marshall, As you can see the piece under my hands is a huge old linen curtain, so just roll it up so that it will fit under the arm of the machine. Yes, this piece will probably be stretched on stretcher bars just as a canvas would be. I also recently did a two sided piece which I suspended from a sandwich of wooden bars so that it could be hung from the ceiling.........see my blog on this piece.........annihunt.com/2018/08/26/almost-done/
